## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poorly written. Poorly executed.

*2013-04-25*

Waste of money. I purchased to compare to other available scanning apps. Comparably more buggy, less useful, and more expensive.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2011-01-16*

This is nothing more than a camera shot. Yes it is converted to a PDF file but you can easily import a picture to almost any document format so why spend $5 when you can just take the same image with the iPhone camera

### 1/5 — Pretty pathetic

*2010-02-01*

May as well use the camera provided with iPhone than spend £2.99 on this. Don't waste your money

### 1/5 — Et zut!

*2010-01-25*

### 1/5 — Pointless, expensive

*2009-12-07*

This is a shameful re-purposing of the basic camera functionality. There is very little added value here. Do yourself a favor and just use the camera to snap your docs -- a waste of money.

### 1/5 — Myscanner

*2009-11-26*

What a misleadingbunch of garbage! The phone already does this by taking a photo! File size for a letter 4MB! Junk app and very misleading, use your camera instead people!

### 1/5 — I can't believe these positive reviews... are they genuine or friendly?

*2009-10-23*

I am looking for a decent scanner app on my 3GS and thought I would believe the promise of MyScanner and shell out $4.99. Big mistake. Another of these scammy image editors posing as scanner: all you get to do (nothing automatic) is manual brightness and contrast adjustments. There is no way to produce a real scan with MyScanner (as in... white background, for easy printing; artifacts removal -- those shaded areas!; uniform ink density; etc.). Seriously, folks, pay attention when you name your apps or you may end up with a lot of seriously dissatisfied customers!

### 1/5 — Phone can already do this

*2009-10-22*

All this app does is take a pic of whatever you point it at and then allows it to be emailed. SURPRISE you can already do that without paying the $5 bucks, duh. The only plus is it's sent in pdf format verses jpg without spending the money. Save the money and email yourself the jpg and convert it later to pdf on your desktop, if needed.

### 2/5 — Myscanner

*2010-09-30*

I have a feeling that this is going to be a great app, but it didn't gave any clue to set up and even if I did what I think im suppose to with that email, there's no effect even after several days...

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it!!

*2009-12-17*

MyScanner is awesome and so easy to use!! I have been waiting so long for something like this to come out and it works unbelievably well. No more trips to the fax machine!! :) :)
UPDATE: I have been using this app for about 2 months now and it has come in handy so many times, in so many different situations. It is one of the best, most used apps I have purchased! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Very handy - does exactly what it says

*2009-12-08*

MyScanner is very handy - I have used it to 'scan' several documents while I am on the go. This is a must-have for any business person on the go that needs to have be able to quickly scan a document and send it out.
Update: Continue to find useful reasons for the app - sent several contracts to others this week.

Crazy how competitors can leave nasty and misleading reviews

### 5/5 — I am very impressed and happy with this application!

*2009-11-14*

MyScanner does what it says it will do, and does it beautifully.

I use "MyScanner" all the time.

Today I needed photocopies of my dogs' Rabies Vaccine Certificates. The groomer did not have a scanner or photocopier. No Problem. With "MyScanner" I was able to scan the document and email them to her. The scan came out very sharp, thus very easy to read.

My bookkeeping is easier now that I scan receipts instead of misplacing them. They are saved in PDF format. (The final file sizes do seem a bit a large).

My iPhone is a 3Gs. My husband's iPhone is a 3G. Because of the difference in the cameras, the scans taken with a 3G iPhone are not as sharp as with the 3Gs, but they are still good and when scanned with a steady hand, they are quite readable.

### 5/5 — Impress your boss

*2009-10-22*

Great for meetings!!! I have been able to run off scans on the fly without skipping a beat...sharing information has never been easier.

### 5/5 — Simple and accurate

*2009-10-19*

My Scanner does exactly what the description says it does, It does it accurately, and the interface could not be simpler. Highly recommended, I use it to 'scan' my receipts, and also for, guess what, a really quick and accurate scan. Five stars.

### 5/5 — MyScanner

*2009-10-16*

WOW!!! Have I needed this App!!!! I'm a traveling sales person, so keeping up with receipts was a pain. No more, I just scan them in using MyScanner. Also, the fax option is fantastic. Great at twice the price!!

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2009-10-16*

My Scanner is awesome! I installed it a couple of days ago and can't live without it now! I can't believe it took so long to come out with an app like this. It is very easy to use and it works!

### 3/5 — Ehh

*2010-03-04*

I'll have to be honest here. The app does exactly what it's described to do. But let's face it. It's not worth 5 bucks. The PDF feature is cool. I like how the editing is built in. The cropping is a little tricky which I don't like. First, theres no ok button so it will crop and let you preview. The dotted lines stay there surroundibg the image until you go to the next step in editing it. You can go on to the next step and go back to see what the image looks like cropped but the dotted lines disappear so you can't re-crop. It's kind of a pain cuz the only thing you can do is retake the pic to try again. Bummmerr... In short, it's just a camera app with some neat features. Not worth 5 bucks though -- maybe more like .99 cents.

### 3/5 — Pas mal du tout

*2009-10-13*

Cette appli me sera très utile pour numériser les pièces d'identité dans mon job plutôt que d'emmener mon gros scanner. Idéal et très suffisant pour les nomades.
