MyScribe is a calm, complete way to begin Italian — built for adults who want to learn properly, not chase a streak. Most apps turn language into a game of points and pressure. MyScribe doesn't. There are no scores, no streaks, no timers, and no one nudging you to come back. Just a quiet course you move through at your own pace, the way you'd work through a good book. It's built on four things you actually do with a language: READ — Meet each phrase in print, with a clear English gloss and a note on the sounds that surprise you. WRITE — Write it back by hand. MyScribe is named for the scribe in you: tracing the words yourself is how they stick, and it's the one thing screens usually skip. Prefer the keyboard? You can type instead. LISTEN — Hear everything spoken by real Italian voices — Michela and Lorenzo, your native hosts — with Kate to guide you along in English. SPEAK — Say it yourself, out loud, in every lesson. Then step into short guided conversations with your hosts and take your turn. The one thing the app reports is which of our own ads bring people to MyScribe: that a launch happened, or a purchase, with nothing attached that identifies you or your device. Every unit, every lesson, one payment — no subscription, and the new price applies in every country. Three recordings ended a syllable early — «Buonanotte!», «Cerco lavoro» and «Sono felice». All three have been re-recorded. ### 1.2 — 2026-08-21 Twenty units — the course is complete. Units 17 to 20 land in this version: the classroom, the weekend, feelings, and talking about people. That completes the A1 course end to end. MyScribe now greets you out loud when you open it. Also in this version: • New illustrations throughout, redrawn rather than resized. • The word bank asked «Hai fratelli?» while showing «la famiglia» — fixed. • A sentence that had been sitting in the wrong unit is back where it belongs. ### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-09 A greener M. MyScribe Italian now has its own icon — the scribe stroke turns green, so you can tell it apart from the other MyScribe editions at a glance. You can also redeem a code without leaving the app: tap "Have a code?" on the unlock screen. And the unlock button now waits for its price instead of briefly appearing without one. ### 1.1 — 2026-08-03 Shadowing — study with the screen off. Every unit is now an audio episode. Hear the whole conversation in Italian at natural speed, hear it again in English so you know exactly what was said, then say every phrase of the unit back in the gaps — with the phrase repeated afterwards so you can hear how close you got.
