I feel it does a very simple thing that has no value. It would be just as easy entering it into a standard calculator. I thought it did greek letters and let me page through it so i could write multiple expressions. I guess thats what i get for paying for a product before i try it. Id avoid this. Theres better free stuff out there

An sich finde ich den Rechner sehr gelungen. Das grösste Problem finde ich im Komma. Dieses liest die KI sehr schwer und ich muss mind 2 mal korrigieren um meine Rechnung zu vollenden.

Ebenfalls sehr problematisch sind die Zahlen 1 und 7. Hier dachte ich es liegt vielleicht an meiner Schrift. Nach mehreren Versuchen muss ich aber sagen, dass das Programm diese immer verwechselt oder anstatt des Komma liest.

It’s so much faster than typing numbers and operation signs. I like the way it guesses right when you don’t write signs or numbers just right! Also when you erase in the middle of an operation and many many other super cool stuff like exponents!

The app is excellent as far as the math recognition, really the best of all the ones I have tested. However it is limited from the computational point of view. It would be exponentially more useful if it had a way to integrate in it access to Wolfram Alpha, for example. ( or some other open- source math engine such as SageMath)

There was, I believe, an older app, called Web Equation which did exactly that, although this was , I think, a web based app.

I am not sure how difficult it is to implement this, but, as a retired University math instructor I can tell you , that if that were possible to do,  the app would be  truly irresistible.

J’utilise cette app depuis de nombreuses années et c’est juste magique. Tellement que Apple a intégré exactement la même application de base dans IOS 18. Coup dur pour le créateur de cette application qui se retrouve maintenant inutile.

It seems it is unable to correctly deal with simple arithmetic. 

For example 12 + 6 / 3(1+1) - 3

The answer is of course 10

But this app claims it’s 13

For that reason it’s being removed from all our iPads.

I was able to when I first bought this. I was able to write out a formula and it would figure it out now when I try to do that it wants me to subscribe to something. I don’t blame them for trying to make money, but I paid for it once I’m sorry

### 1/5 — Fails to do the quadratic formula with basic inputs.

Don’t try to use this for precalculus work.  Only decent for basic math.

Not much else to be said here.  When you put in the quadratic formula with any set of numbers with intention to solve for a variable (plus or minus), it keeps on expecting more in the square-root area and will never answer your problem.  It doesn’t matter which calculate mode I use.

I refunded the app after an hour of tedious usage.  

I’d use it MAYBE if it gets better with square roots and longer formulas, but a normal calculator is actually much faster and more reliable.

doesn’t take the handwriting correctly always and assumes what it thinks you wanted, so if you’re trying to trust the outcome, you have to always double check with a real calculator.
