### 2/5 — Horribly intrusive ads

*2026-08-09, version 2.0.6*

Unable to close them

### 2/5 — App ruined by malicious ad

*2026-08-02, version 2.0.6*

The app was great right up to the point I got a hideous ad telling me my phone has 72 issues & ‘tap to clear the errors’. I cleared the errors by deleting the app!

### 2/5 — En recul

*2026-05-29*

Pourquoi ?

### 2/5 — We need 3d transport

*2026-02-21, version 2.0.6*

Like city and vehicle

### 2/5 — Leider keine Echtzeit- Daten

*2025-11-29*

### 1/5 — Too Many Ads — App Is Now Unusable

*2025-10-15, version 2.0.6*

This used to be a great app for tracking ships, but now it’s absolutely ruined by constant ads. Every time I try to check vessel positions, I’m interrupted by pop-ups and long ad breaks. It’s frustrating, slow, and not worth the hassle anymore. What used to be a useful tool has turned into a waste of time.

### 1/5 — Avoid, more ads than YouTube

*2025-10-04, version 2.0.6*

The free version of this app used to be ok but now it’s littered with video ads. Don’t bother. I have uninstalled it.

### 1/5 — Can’t find my boat on the list

*2025-10-03, version 2.0.6*

Downloaded the App and tried to search for my boat by name and by MMSI number no luck

### 1/5 — Werbung nervt ständig

*2025-09-25, version 2.0.6*

Die App war mal gut. Jetzt nerven die ständigen Werbe-Videos.

### 1/5 — Trash App- don’t waste your time here

*2025-08-11, version 2.0.6*

Ship tracking is a joke — days-old data and never matches the real location. Purely outdated and useless. Cancel your trial in your phone’s app settings right away, or reach out to Apple to request a chargeback. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — No Response

*2025-07-11, version 2.0.6*

Totally useless and have informed on a few occasions where ships are clearly not in the position the app shows them. Despite advising, no response and no change. There are other apps that are now much better

### 1/5 — Bringt nichts

*2025-06-22, version 2.0.6*

### 1/5 — Too many adverts

*2025-06-01, version 2.0.6*

Used to use this all the time but adverts every time you click on a vessel info, and timed so you can’t do anything for 10+seconds makes it unusable. App been deleted.

### 1/5 — Something has changed: hijacked app

*2025-05-17, version 2.0.6*

It used to be good, but now it takes too long to load boats, and when you try to click on the boat to find out more (which worked perfectly 3 months ago) - it now comes up with “New Version. There is a new version of the app available. Please update to get the new features” which not only leads to a totally DIFFERENT app (unrelated camera app), but won’t allow you to escape the app without force quitting. I’ve now ditched the app and started looking for a better ship tracker.

### 1/5 — New Version Update!?

*2025-05-16, version 2.0.6*

A new advert came up. New Version
There is a new version of this app available.
Please update to get new features.
Later
Update Now
Looks and sounds like a scam as I can update the app at the Apple App Store. Deleted!!

### 1/5 — Ads

*2025-04-11, version 2.0.5*

Too many stupid never ending adds

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Popup arnaque?

*2026-07-20, version 2.0.6*

*2026-06-19, version 2.0.6*

You should not host ads telling you that your phone has been hacked!

### 1/5 — Allows scams in ads

*2026-05-17, version 2.0.6*

Beware: this app allows scammers to advertise. Got pop ups saying my phone is “severely damaged” by “72 viruses” with a link to scamware.

Keep it classy!

### 1/5 — Awful!

*2026-05-09, version 2.0.6*

Now it wants me to run some clean up app before I can use the app. Deleting app!

### 1/5 — Allows VERY DODGY Adverts!!!

*2026-05-07, version 2.0.6*

This app allows very dodgy adverts including malicious ones that claim things like “your device is hacked” - “go to our website now to clean your device”
If you see stuff like this pay no attention it’s designed to scare you to make you download their stuff which will ACTUALLY infect your device. Very alarming that the app allows those kinds of ads. Normal ads are annoying but atleast they aren’t malicious.

### 1/5 — Rubbish does not work

*2026-04-14, version 2.0.6*

I don’t know who writes these reviews but this app is junk. Installed twice. Would not work at all. Endless loop trying to connect.

### 1/5 — Awful!

*2026-03-23, version 2.0.6*

What have you done!?!?! I’d give no stars if I could. Everything I loved about this app is gone.

### 1/5 — Advertisement won’t let you past!

*2026-03-16, version 2.0.6*

You can’t get past the game advertisement. I’m sure there are other apps that will!Deleted!!

### 1/5 — Now a waste of time

*2026-02-16, version 2.0.6*

When I first downloaded it worked well but since the last update it is a total waste of time. If the developers don’t sort this out they may as well delete it.

### 1/5 — 24 hours behind the real location 😂

*2025-12-23, version 2.0.6*

Useless App

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Ok

*2026-06-21, version 2.0.6*

Works ok for what I want, but asks me to upload a photo of a near by vessel. Tried to upload a photo, but my iPhone keyboard blocks the lower buttons to press to complete the upload. Not much point trying.

### 5/5 — Der Gewinner

*2026-05-30*

### 5/5 — Awsome

*2025-04-05, version 2.0.5*

Awesome App!!

### 5/5 — Best of the bunch

*2024-11-23, version 2.0.2*

Tried several similar apps but this is the best of the lot. Deleted the others and just rely on this one and it hasn’t let me down.

### 5/5 — The new Overhaul is Awesome!

*2024-10-21, version 2.0.2*

It’s been a while since the overhaul (which happened sometime last spring or summer I believe), but I wanted to wait until I had a chance to use it properly before I left an updated review.

My previous review, I mentioned how the app was inferior to the website version. I’m happy to say that is no longer the case. It’s at least as good as the website version, if not better.

I use this app for ship watching in the Great Lakes area (Usually around Duluth/Superior). The app was very useful for that before, but it’s even better now.

Two of the major changes I loved are:
—Increased AIS range. The ships remain in-range across most of Lake Superior now, instead of going out of range an hour or two after leaving a port.
—Being able to see the ETA/ETD of ships. Before, you could only see the ETA once it got close to the port. Now, as long as the ship has reported its ETA/ETD, the app will tell you what it is.
—Improved ship information cards. Previously, the information given on ships when you pressed on them was a little lacking. Now, it tells you practically everything you’d want to know. The size of the ship, its location, past port calls, destination, etc.

There are others, but we’d be here all day if I continued talking about what I liked. There are a few things I disliked, but they’re minor and not deserving of making those review a 4 star. Here’s what they are:
—Ads. I understand that this is a free-to-use app that takes money to maintain, and most of the ads are unobtrusive and therefore don’t bother me. However, the full-screen ads that show up when you first open the information on a ship after launching the app can be quite annoying—especially when some are videos that last upwards of 30 seconds.
—There is no button to take you to the location of the ship from its information page. You can look at the track of the ship, but that’s it. I think the ‘Map’ button should take you to the ship’s current location on the map. Idk if it’s supposed to do this, but it returns you to the same part of the map you were at before searching for the ship.

Overall, this app is great. Easily the best AIS app I’ve used. Marine Traffic seems to be the preference among the ship watcher community, but in my experience it’s slow & buggy compared to this app, and also requires you to pay for a subscription to see all the information on the ship—most of which you could search up online anyway. Also, Marine Traffic tends to tell you in accurate ETAs for ships. For example, the James L. Oberstar came into Duluth this morning, and this app reported 7:00am ETA, which was almost spot-on, while Marine Traffic reported 11am ETA. I prefer this app over Marine Traffic.

So, if any of the devs read this review, very well done on the overhaul.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2024-05-31, version 2.0.1*

Since the new update, this is excellent and easy to use. The information is great in this new format

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-05-28, version 2.0.1*

Great redesign. Well done to the developers! Keep up the good work. 👌

### 5/5 — Great. Good improvements

*2024-04-08, version 1.1*

The app overall is great, however, in certain areas, the ships lose coverage and you can no longer see them. To prevent that from happening they should make it so after it receives the position it keeps moving like the way it is on the website. And please add a 3d view
