### 2/5 — Appli à améliorer

*2024-06-08, version 1.8*

Bonne méthode mais la qualité de l’appli laisse à désirer. Je passe mon temps à la désinstaller et la réinstaller car ne fonctionne plus au bout de quelques jours: la voix dit un premier mot puis cesse complètement.

### 5/5 — Best sleep aid

*2022-03-20, version 1.7*

I have a very hard time falling asleep because I can’t stop my mind from wandering off or from racing with thoughts about the day or what I need to get done tomorrow. But this app has significantly helped me to stop my mind from keeping me awake for hours. I use it every night without fail, and fall asleep before the time is up. I like how you can choose the amount of time you want the images to play for and the time between images. Just wish there was a way to change them up so I’m not imagining the same images over and over and get used to them. Very grateful to the creators of this app.

### 5/5 — Solid app

*2022-03-18, version 1.7*

Simple, straightforward, no ads, and it works. I’ve had stress-insomnia problems for years and this really shuts my brain down fast. I’ve only purchased the “simple things” pack so far and it’s 100% worth it (and I never buy apps). ***When you first download the free week or so trial, make sure you take full advantage of trying all the packs out; there’s no way to sample any of them after that.

Developer suggestion: after the free trial, please allow a quick sample of the packs, like 30 seconds or so, to revisit and get an idea. I missed trying them all and can’t remember which ones I did it’s been so long now.

### 5/5 — AMAZING APP!

*2022-03-13, version 1.7*

I absolutely love this app, I always feel like it isn’t working, and then I am asleep. I just wish all of the voices and different item themes that you listen to didn’t cost money. I would gladly pay for the app then to buy it in the app. It always does EXACTLY what I want it to do for me. It’s really great at its job.

### 5/5 — Simple & effective

*2022-02-16, version 1.7*

A straight forward app without any bells & whistles - but it doesn’t need any. It works!

### 3/5 — H

*2021-10-24, version 1.7*

from very bad insomnia. It helps

### 2/5 — Interesting Idea in Theory, But Does Not Work in Practice

*2021-08-18, version 1.6*

While I like the idea of this app, it does not seem to work in theory so it makes me hesitant to purchase anything. When it first starts it is clearly spoken, but when the woman says the next item to imagine it’s cut off at the beginning and I don’t know what she says. This continues throughout the timed “Put Me To Sleep” session. It’s too bad, because I feel this would really help me with falling asleep.

### 5/5 — Works!!!!!

*2021-06-25, version 1.6*

This app works so well every time, unless I’m so distracted I do not listen to it. If I listen to it, I fall asleep. Period.

### 5/5 — THANK YOU FOR THIS APP!!!!

*2021-01-26, version 1.6*

I have had difficulties falling asleep all of my life because my brain is just too active. Having tried a multitude of different medications, apps and various methods This the *only* one I have found to consistently work for me. Somehow my body fights even prescription medications and I end up still being awake for hours. I’ve tried apps like calm, but my brain goes into ADD overdrive and starts asking questions about the stories or ends up spiraling into odd tangents. I have never encountered anything quite like this solution and recommend it to anyone who has an overactive mind when trying to get to sleep

### 5/5 — Russian support

*2021-01-13, version 1.6*

Any plans to support Russian? It’s hard to imagine some works I don’t know the meaning of :)

### 5/5 — My lifesaver on wakeful nights

*2020-11-22, version 1.6*

I usually fall asleep quickly, but about one night out of every ten, my brain is whirling with work issues, family concerns, the chaotic state of the world, etc etc etc. When it looks like it’s going to be one of those nights, MySleepButton is my go-to remedy for calming my overactive brain and putting me into a good place to drift off to dreamland. It’s saved me from many a sleepless night.

Bonus points to CogSci Apps for great customer support when a recent iOS update caused MySleepButton to stop working. They kept me in the loop via direct emails and let me know when the relevant update was published to the App Store. Kudos!

### 5/5 — Great app, great support

*2020-11-19, version 1.6*

Perfect for counteracting my insomnia. It’s only ever failed to send me to sleep a couple of times, and that was when I was under extreme stress.

Recently there was a problem causing the app to lose your purchases, stopping it from working completely. But the developers worked to fix it and kept their customers informed. Good old fashioned service makes a nice change. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Best sleep app

*2020-10-15, version 1.5*

I can’t believe how well this works. Instead of taking an hour to fall asleep, I’m out in about 15 minutes.

### 5/5 — Not working w/update

*2020-09-26, version 1.5*

I have never had an issue until the most recent iOS update. I even tried to purchase another pack, only for it to never work. I didn’t realize how much I relied on this app until I couldn’t use it! Been checking multiple times a day for an update, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

### 5/5 — Cured my insomnia

*2020-08-26, version 1.5*

I recommend this app to everyone I know who tells me they struggle with insomnia. It really changed my life. It’s very relaxing and helped to stop my overthinking at night.

### 4/5 — Incredible, but could use a refresh

*2020-07-09, version 1.5*

I’ve found falling asleep hard my whole life, and have come to rely on an assortment of sleeping pills. But this seems to do the trick magnificently! And take my mind off things. However, the app itself could use a refresh, and the initial collection of visualisation is ultimately quite limited – I’m sure I will soon bore of them. This said, the price of the individual packs is quite a jump for a ‘free’ app. I would have been happy to buy the app outright if it had a fresher design and more content.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poor customer service.

*2021-10-26, version 1.7*

They seem glad to take your money but not at all interested in providing support after they have it.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2021-06-18, version 1.6*

I felt I'd like this relaxation technique, so I tried to install it on one of my iPhones. There was a glitch with overlapping text. Uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times. No luck. I requested tech support. No response. Very disappointing. On another phone, I downloaded it and bought a pack. Tried it out and ran into a problem. Tried customer support again. Crickets. Worth the price? Maybe, if the product were supported.

### 1/5 — mauvais

*2021-04-08, version 1.6*

la voix humaine commet des erreurs , exemple « pataugeuse » qu elle prononce « pataugueuse » plutot que comme patauJeuse...la voix symthetique est horrible, on ne comprend pas la plupart des mots....desolant

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2020-10-05, version 1.5*

This app is a rip off.
It’s good but not worth close to what they are asking.

And they want you to help them develop data?

Seriously, 9.99 for an audio recording!

### 1/5 — For the body scan pack, the timer cannot be modified.

*2019-07-14, version 1.4.13*

Countdown Timer

When using a cognitive shuffle pack, you can set the timer to whatever value you want. For example, you can set it to read content for 25 minutes. After the timer expires, mySleepButton will stop reading.

For the body scan pack, the timer cannot be modified.

### 1/5 — I’m disgusted

*2019-05-02, version 1.4.13*

This app was recommended to me by my children’s’ therapist as a way to cope with anxiety and sleep disorders. I’ll give it credit as it worked immensely for them! But the fact that they cut you off if you don’t spend money to update it ridiculous. You get nothing after the free trial!! Nothing. Now I either have to pay money to use continue to use this app or find something better! I used to recommend this to people because it’s awesome. Now I’ll tell people to steer clear.

### 1/5 — Why is there no resolution for the crackling noise?

*2018-02-05, version 1.4.7*

The idea behind this app is great, however, the crackling in the audio makes it completely useless. I’ve read many reviews of people having the same issue, however, there doesn’t seem to be a reply from the developer in any of these complaints which is disappointing. The fact that there isn’t any sign of a resolution makes me think there won’t ever be.

### 1/5 — What’s up with the clicking?

*2018-01-25, version 1.4.7*

All of a sudden the app clicks non-stop. This is aggravating not relaxing. This definitely needs to be fixed.

### 1/5 — Disturbing little app

*2017-11-18, version 1.4.6*

I'm still awake at 4.30am because of this app. Who thought it was a good idea to include 'ivory' and 'crocodile' among words in a sleep app? And, as a vegetarian, I found the inclusion of 'a steak' and 'bacon and eggs' unpleasant. It is also highly Americanised; terms such as 'ball park' and many others jar the brain rather than relax it. Not really thought through.

### 1/5 — Loved it until stopped working

*2017-11-09, version 1.4.6*

Had the simple app version for free but it stopped working

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — No fuss and it works!

*2025-10-31, version 1.11*

Installed it years ago, then forgot all about it. Started using it again for the last two nights and worked each time.

### 5/5 — Fonctionne réellement

*2025-08-27, version 1.11*

La seule applis qui est efficace quand je fais de la grosse insomnie parce que j’ai le cerveau qui pense à tout plein de chose.

### 5/5 — Puts me to sleep in 10 minutes or less.

*2025-04-23, version 1.9*

For years I have struggled with falling asleep and then falling back asleep if I awake in the middle of the night. This app does the trick every single time. I was even able to stop taking melatonin. It’s a simple app, but extremely effective. I learned about this app indirectly in a CNN article on cognitive shuffling. It costs nothing for you to try.

### 5/5 — Best cure for brain spin at bedtime

*2025-02-06, version 1.9*

Before this app I would often struggle with racing thoughts at bedtime. Constant fear and anxiety about what was going to happen or all of the things I had done wrong that day. It would keep me up fearing how much time I’d get to sleep before the next day.

Then I found this app. I’m not even sure how but once I started using it, it became a sure fire way to fall asleep within ten minutes. I didn’t think that was possible for me! I used to lie awake for hours!!

I’ve been a loyal user for years and thought I should leave a positive review that hopefully helps someone else.

### 5/5 — Better than meds

*2024-06-19, version 1.8*

I have a rare and severe circadian rhythm sleep disorder and a prolapsed bladder that makes me get up every two hours to pee. This app has been life changing for me. I get up to pee, lay back down, tap the button and start thinking about earmuffs and rivers and trees and other ordinary things, one every seven seconds, and after fewer than a dozen things, I'm asleep again.

I also am on the aphantasia spectrum (I am not able to make pictures in my head) so I was afraid this app wouldn't work for me, but it does. I just let the objects appear in whatever senses are available to engage with it. If the word is rose, I feel soft petals against my face as I smell the rose. If the word is river, I hear rushing water and feel it cold against my feet. If the word is earmuffs, I feel them soft against my ears and hear the world muffled. You don't have to be able to visualize the things for this app to work.

### 5/5 — It works!

*2023-01-31, version 1.7*

This clever technique often does the trick when other apps do not.I have trouble turning off the churning thoughts and worries and this often works better even than sleep stories or meditative apps. As another reviewer said, it’s best to pay a little more and get the natural voice.

### 5/5 — The BEST

*2022-12-05, version 1.7*

I’ve never been able to fall asleep within 15 minutes of laying down. That being said I would have to get in bed 30 minutes before I would want to go to sleep. This app changed that. I use it every night and it has never failed. Sometimes I'm asleep within 5 minutes. It’s the BEST.

### 5/5 — Only app that helps me sleep

*2022-09-02, version 1.7*

I have insomnia and anxiety. Sleeping pills don’t work. Usually I just go to sleep when I can’t physically stay awake anymore. But with this app I just fall asleep easily. I hope they continue updating it.

### 5/5 — My sleep saviour for years!

*2022-07-30, version 1.7*

I’ve been using this app for years now and have found it nearly always helps me get to sleep. Nothing works quite like it, I turn it on and usually am asleep within minutes.

The UI is a little dated now, as it hasn’t really changed at all since the all launched, many many moons ago.

The packs, if anyone is wondering as it really isn’t clear from the app itself, add more words or scenes. So if you don’t pay, you’d probably notice the same set of words or scenes again and again. While, if you pay, you will only very rarely hear repetitions.

### 5/5 — Finally a solution

*2022-04-19, version 1.7*

This app puts me right to bed. After years of chronic insomnia I finally have a solution for sleepless nights. I can’t thank you enough, this app has dramatically improved my life
