I logged in to my account to check the functionality of my system since we have been having storms with power outages only to find that to view my data I now have to pay for the app. Solar could be such a great thing but every part of this industry is becoming the biggest letdown, headache, crapshoot, frustration I could never have seen coming. Now I can add this app to the list! ### 2/5 — Terrible update *2026-07-22, version 3.1* Since the last update the Apple Watch app has been removed and it makes me log back in ALL the time, even if I enable Face ID. What a downgrade update!!! ### 1/5 — App is no longer working *2026-07-22, version 3.1* The app asked for payment to renew the app. I paid. The app said payment did not go through. I thought, glitch, and paid again. double payment later, I had to dispute the second charge through my credit card as the developer was non-responsive. Now the app is not working, & I keep getting asked for a payment. So far developer has been non-responsive. I am beyond annoyed ### 2/5 — They keep breaking it *2026-07-22, version 3.1* Every update breaks something. The latest is the worse because it has broken the login system. The app constantly logs you out and forgets everything, turns off FaceID, and forces you to reauthenticate and turn back on FaceID just to have it turn it back off within the next day. Also broken: it keeps misreporting what day it is. I don’t see the improvements, just them breaking things and making the app worse. I’ve had it since 2022. Started great, but now is just an annoying, unprofessional app. ### 1/5 — They don’t give you access to your equipment unless you pay *2026-07-22, version 3.1* We paid for the equipment. Had no choice in manufacturer. Not told of annual cost of accessing ANY information about the solar panel system we paid to have installed. I doubt it… *2026-07-12, version 3.1* I have a PV panel that has a zero volt output since May of this year. Not only have “ they” not detected it but have not replied to my text or emails. Pure Energy did the installation and “they” can’t be found or contacted!!! Buyer beware!!! ### 3/5 — What’s happened to the watch app? *2026-07-12, version 3.1* Your Apple Watch app has disappeared and I can’t seem to find any updates stating this. When is it coming back? ### 2/5 — Okay, but TOO restrictive *2026-07-11, version 3.1* If you’re interested in seeing the individual panel performance, you are better off using a laptop than a cell phone. I use an iPhone 15 Pro Max and struggle to read the small print shown on each panel. Worse than that, if you want/need to change your WiFi parameters (network name or password), you will need to pay an electrician (who is certified by SolarEdge) to come to your house and make the change. It just cost me $200 to have that done because the company that installed mine went out of business and quit paying the cell phone bill. (The monitor options are WiFi or cellular service.) You won’t know your system isn’t reporting the status/performance unless you check it! No email or text will notify you. I lost a we’d worth of info because the reporting system was trying to use cellular service for a month. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Never Again *2026-08-18, version 3.4* Ripoff system and company ### 1/5 — Used to work. No more. *2026-08-16, version 3.4* For the first few years of monitoring, our rooftop solar system, this app was handy and very interesting to use. This year it just stopped working and has been impossible to fix. There’s something wrong with the software that needs to be addressed by their engineers. ### 1/5 — Cannot reset password *2026-08-07, version 3.4* The reset password function is broken. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. I’ve turned my phone off and back on and nothing. Installer is of no use either. Just want to charge me $269 every time they come out and need to make multiple trips to fix something and charge that amount every time as well as $189/hour. Totally dissatisfied with a system that cost $34000 and isn’t even 5 years old, already had to have BOTH inverters replaced and now 2 of the 24 optimizers replaced ### 1/5 — Worthless non functioning trash. *2026-07-27, version 3.3* App used to work fine. Only shows connection. No production data. It was nice to have the production data. The only purpose it serves now is to verify a cloud connection but does not allow access to data the owner submits to the cloud. The use of bright colors and ease of use really helped make the app extremely user friendly for me. I loved opening the app to check on how we were doing in terms of consumption versus production. I loved opening the app to show my family and friends! In my estimation, the app I’m currently having to use is not even in the same league. Way to go Solar Edge! It gives up to date info but why does it no longer have export and import information for the battery. I charge my battery when prices are low but the amount imported no longer shows up.
