However, I mostly use this app for cyride. The buses are not always correct on the tracker. Sometimes they are between 1-5 minutes late and that is the difference between me being late for class or work. The times need to be more accurate. This year I have only been able to use it once. My iPhone & app are completely up to date. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not a good app *2025-02-05* To start off, the feature where you can track the campus busses is absolutely terrible. About 90% of the time, the arrival estimates are off by over 10-15 minutes. Usually an estimate means off by a few minutes, not a quarter of an hour. Additionally, about half the time the bus tracker states there are no busses currently driving a specific route but that is incorrect because other than late at night and really early in the morning, there are always busses. The class schedule tab is terrible. Consistent issues occur that have not been solved despite them being around for multiple years. I got a newer iPhone this year and installed the latest version of the app. The new version seems very unstable and crashes so much it’s basically useless. CyRide, and by extension the MyState app, uses an external service called NextBus for its data. Unfortunately the issues experienced today are due to problems with NextBus servers which have broken any CyRide services which rely on these predictions. We have reached out to NextBus to find out what we can and plan to add improvements to the schedule in app in case this happens again in the future. The good news is that once the NextBus servers are back up the app will work again without any update. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you continue to enjoy the app! ### 5/5 — Finally working again! *2016-01-16, version 3.3* For a couple months now this app would crash upon opening.
