The first being it takes a long time for the game to respond when I click on things so it took me forever to find the items needed When the detective needed to warm up. Second the map didn’t work sometimes and when I clicked on a place to go to on the map it instead put me in the same location I was already in then I could reopen the map until I shut down then reopened the game. Third when clicking on items in hidden object scenes most of the time it didn’t respond right away or at all so sometimes I had to click on a item more then ten times just to get it, such as the candle in the mannequin hidden object scene. ### 2/5 — Hint covering next step! *2021-11-06, version 1.0.0* Great game but outside the City Police Station the next move is under the hint button and I can’t play on. When you know this just touch a little of center of target. This worked until Chapter 5, in the Archway when trying to retrieve the Eagle. I can see it after completing task to make it visible but can not get it. No matter what i tried doesn't work. The hint button just circles it so no other action is needed to retrieve other than touch. Touching on Eagle Brings up the statement how run down the place was. Big fish is a big rip off. Buyers be aware. So any games you purchased that were iOS under 9 you can't play the games that you previously purchased and big fish doesn't help you at all they blame it on iTunes. So when Apple updated you lost all your old games that you bought. Pfft ### 2/5 — Close to deleting this game *2019-01-01, version 1.0.0* This is a fantastic game with a good storyline and Elf is adorable. I play on my iPad. Unfortunately, there are MAJOR glitches. There are many things within the game that you’re supposed to pick up but can’t. Sometimes, you can finally finally pick it up if you sit there and click on it continuously for 5-10 minutes (NOT an exaggeration on the time)! Needless to say, it’s not so much fun anymore. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it a number of times with no luck. I’ve brought this up to BFG before but apparently, they haven’t done anything to fix it yet. The reason for not giving it high ratings are the glitches. It needs some work. It frequently freezes to the point I have to reboot to get it going again. Right now, I am on the bonus chapter and it is completely frozen. It isn't. I played it last year! The following is the review I wrote then, together with updated comments. Last year I found no glitches. This year I found several. There have been MANY, TOO MANY, lousy games coming out lately. This is a game with some defects but seems fun to play. It's not perfect, with way too much back and forth, little logic to the moves, some confusing directions, times when you can't pick up items, etc. but it's far superior to other games coming out from BF lately. And I guess that statement is really sad! It's on my "maybe" list "to buy." Right now, the price isn't right. This game has a nice map with some, but not all, auto transport. The games are varied, which I like, but I found some boring. Most are okay, and you can skip the boring, or too confusing ones. The sound turns off correctly in the options, I always turn the sound off, so that's important to me. All in all, this game seems okay. I might buy it when the price is right. 3/08/18 Okay, this is the third time it’s been on sale, and each time it's older, obviously. You can’t customize this game, which is annoying. I find that looking for warm clothing is just too gimmicky for me. And I’m finding the game boring this time around. The puzzles are too easy, like having to arrange the numbers on a clock. Really?
