But now it will not launch because it states an update is needed. When you go to the App Store to update it all you get is the option to open the app… which tells you there is an update needed… and direct you back to the App Store… we’re the only option you have is to open the app… which tells you there is an update needed… See where this is going? ### 1/5 — Confusing, Awkward, Doesn’t Work, Impossible to Get Useful Support, Otherwise great *2024-10-29, version 2.2* Try to use a number of times and just can’t seem to get logged or established. Doesn’t function as presented. Impossible to get a hold of anyone to get it straightened out. I don’t even know why they bothered to write an app. It’s a piece of junk administered by what must be morons. ### 1/5 — Incorrect Password *2024-09-30, version 2.2* The app had me reset my password, and now it wont let me back into my account. Despite resetting my password multiple times. ### 1/5 — App compromised *2024-04-20, version 2.2* Definitely not comfortable using this app now. I made a payment to my unit in ca and my account was charged from a completely different storage location in TN It looks like the site was compromised. now it’s going to take up to 90 days to get my money back Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — Can’t Signup *2024-03-24, version 2.2* App won’t show ANY storage facilities when I click sign up, so I can’t get my code to get into my new unit. ### 1/5 — Currently unusable *2023-02-15, version 2.0* During registration, I get as far as the select facility option but the “next” button which should be at the bottom of the page is nowhere to be found. The page will not scroll down to find the button to proceed. Unacceptable and unusable. iPhone SE 2022 version. ### 1/5 — Can’t even start it! *2022-08-15, version 1.5* Downloaded it two times, and still never got a passcode sent to my email address! I called my storage facility and their email address for me was correct, so what’s up?!?! Called the number at the bottom of the page and got a recorded instruction that just mimics what the app guides you through…..like we can’t read or something?!?! I travel for work and this app was “supposed to be “ for folks like me!….man, talk about “erase the board and do it all over again “! ### 1/5 — Terrible *2021-12-07, version 1.5* The pay online section is terrible. No option to put a card on file. Having to manually enter your information is a pain because the layout is clearly not designed for mobile platforms. You have to constantly zoom in and out to fill in the data entry points. And why are they all so gigantic?!? My first name is not a hundred characters long. The developers should maybe try to use the platform they design…just a suggestion… ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of fixing!! *2021-09-24, version 1.5* This app is garbage! It doesn’t let you open the menu at top right corner to update your payment information, etc. There’s no back button/going back doesn’t work! You’ll have to completely close out the app and start over to get back to the page you were previously on. Fix all of these ASAP!!! Life Storage app is better and much more user friendly. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-12-29, version 4.0.1* Setting up for the first time, literally just created a password, and it’s not letting me logon. I’ve even reset my password 3 times now and it’s still giving an error when I try to login. My storage unit facility charges extra fees if I want to pay via website so if I don’t want to pay extra I need to use this app that won’t even let me login. What a joke. ### 1/5 — initialization/login issues *2025-12-19, version 4.0.1* I’m just trying to utilize tools to keep me organized manage my storage account… so I downloaded this app only to find that launching the app consistently results in failure: “Oops! No internet connection found”… blah blah blah. The thing of it is, I have a very viable network connections. I have a solid mobile signal… and I’ve tried turning wireless off, I’ve tried different wifi routers, I’ve tried VPN… Frustratingly, no connection to the app’s server to set anything up and begin managing my rental. What gives? ### 1/5 — Trash *2025-11-02, version 4.0.0* Latest update was yesterday… first it wouldn’t let you log in and stated to update but there was no update. Waited and finally was able to update it yesterday and now when I open the app it says no internet connection. I’ve turned my phone disconnected/reconnected the wifi, turned off wifi and use cellular data, off and restart phone, deleted/redownloaded the app and still same issue…. Update says it’s suppose to fix bugs but seems it just added a million bugs. This is absolutely ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2025-11-02, version 4.0.0* App does not connect to internet. Tried reaching out to developer but was only directed to the instruction page with no way to connect with customer service. ### 1/5 — Great, another way to scam consumers *2025-11-01, version 4.0.0* I’ve been with my storage rental unit for 3 years and they’ve changed management companies 5 times. The newest one requires us to use this app which currently doesn’t even let me log in. It states that there is no internet connection when all my other apps work. There also isn’t a way to initiate autopay. So this app seems custom built to cause late fees and hurt the customer while increasing the profits of greedy corporations. Ugh. ### 1/5 — Trash update *2025-10-31, version 3.0.1* Can’t open the app because it says I need an update and when I go to update it just takes me back to the app. Your solution to remove the app and reinstall it does not work either. Useless. ### 1/5 — Junk! *2025-05-30* Flat out doesn’t work. As a renter it has no idea who I am. Even the property manager says the app is worthless and doesn’t work. She’s like don’t bother. I’m not very impressed with this company and not only am I not going to use the app, I’m looking for another place to store my RV. I spend $230 a month for storage and this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. ### 1/5 — APP DOES NOT WORK DO NOT DOWNLOAD *2025-05-22, version 3.0* the app does not work. new update screwed the whole app. now once you open the app it tells you to update for a hot fix even if the app is currently updated. cant do anything on there until the developer fixes or overhauls it. guess its back to over the phone bill payments. ### 1/5 — Feel ma like Hal 9000 took over my storage bill. *2025-05-22, version 3.0* Just downloaded the app to pay my bill. simple, right? Wrong. First thing it says is “update needed.” Cool, except it’s already the latest version. Then it launches me into a Kafka-meets-Clockwork-Orange nightmare loop of update prompts and dead ends. All I wanted to do was give you money. Instead, I’m stuck in a psychological thriller with no exit button. Once I click “Update App” on the application it brings me the App Store and it just says “Open” instead of “Update”. I’ve delete the app from phone several times and nothing seems to work. You are constantly having to input everything manually. There’s no way to save your information for a faster payment option. It’s the one thing I hate about using this app and it’s really all that I use the app for.
