Try again later. It would be nice to start my car in hot/cold weather on an app that I paid for. It’s nice WHEN actually works. I really like using the app on the apple watch to turn the engine on, but once in a while it would tell me it is already on which it isn’t. So then I have to pull my phone out and turn it on from there. Why isn’t the fuel status directly on the first splash page? Please fix the app because you cannot paste the password to login. It is super super annoying! I have no problem with the app. Works fine for me with remote restart. However, it needs to have a preset option for my winter settings to heat the steering wheel!! Cabin and seat warms up nicely only to enter vehicle with a cold wheel. I’ve tested the MySubaru app on two different phones and get the exact same ‘MySubaru Services are temporarily unavailable’ message. Remote Start and Locate Vehicle both fail. The vehicle has been manually started and driven for over 30 minutes. This started immediately around the time of the recent MySubaru update. ### 3/5 — Works ok *2026-08-20, version 3.5.1* It can be unresponsive at times, or at least it doesn’t provide feedback when it’s doing something. SoA with this recent 3.5.1 update removed the ability to even install the app on macOS. ### 4/5 — Does Start in Garage *2026-08-20, version 3.5.1* Seems to work very well and has a lot of extra features appeared to similar apps like the one we have for VW. However, I was showing the app to someone while we were at a restaurant and I started the engine remotely. And it was running when we got home! MUCH APPRECIATED ### 5/5 — Great! app *2026-08-16, version 3.4.3* I love them MySubaru app and my wife and I rely upon it as well as the overhead emergency buttons very much. Unfortunately, Subaru has disabled both of those for customers in Massachusetts. We were about to buy a new Subaru and because those features are no longer available we are not going to buy a new Subaru. Other car manufacturers have very similar features that are still made available to customers in Massachusetts. My understanding is that Subaru has disabled them as a way to protect their customer’s privacy. The obvious solution is to list the pros and cons and let each customer decide for themselves whether or not they want those features enabled. ### 5/5 — Pure Subaru-ness! *2026-08-16, version 3.4.3* What I like… remote functions work well nearly every time, no concerns. I like that it tells me if my windows are down and the level of the gas tank. Nice touch.  Watch functionality is just gravy. Also, the iOS app works on  Silicon Macs which is awesome! :) Customer service is pretty good and I’ve never had a challenge getting in touch with someone if/when needed. What I don’t like… They could definitely reorganize the navigation functions on the My Trips function; it works fine but doesn’t feel intuitively laid out. I feel like this is building towards something else and is incomplete right now. That’s my only -1 star right now. What I wish for… I could get a picture or live video shot from the cameras on my car on my iPhone. I don’t even get an error message. Sometimes it randomly unlocks my doors. It’s even started my car a few times un-commanded. For a car company that supposedly makes quality cars their app team/contractor sucks. I really regret paying for this service, because it’s always a gamble whether or not it will be of any use to me on any given day. I cannot plan around being able to start my vehicle remotely, so it’s more of a nice surprise when it actually works. It is supposed to track your maintenance reminders. It does NOT track your maintenance unless you input it yourself. Even if you get service at the Subaru Dealer, they do not enter it for you. This app should automatically sync with the dealership. I want my $500 bucks back. This is a stupid app and should be included in my $37k vehicle purchase. I feel like Subaru could do a much better job and at the very least sync it with my car appropriately. My check engine light is on and MySubaru app says my car is fine. Stupid and dumb. ### 1/5 — Constantly interrupts apps *2026-08-11, version 3.4.3* This app constantly interrupts my car when playing music… listening to music… when on maps, I swear this is going to get me in an accident because I’m constantly having to push play or get back to maps because STARLINK interrupts this. If it wasn’t for my Subaru subscription to start my car in the winter, I wouldn’t have this (which is also ridiculous that I need to pay a subscription for a terrible app to give me updates on my car that my dash should just tell me). ### 1/5 — How is this 5 stars? *2026-08-09, version 3.4.3* How is this app 5 stars? I signed up for my 2026 ascent. I set a password and Subaru made me change it immediately. It’s randomly generated, now I can’t login when I needed to use it. I was in the middle of nowhere trying to reset the password in 95 degree heat as the app saved the first password I set. I’m just going to drop an AirTag in my car and delete the app until they figure out an actual login system that matches modern requirements. The good news is I save $70 a year, no way I sub now. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-08-08, version 3.4.3* Made my account yesterday. Tried to sign in today with Face ID and it made every face scan a failed attempt. Typed in my password that I just made yesterday and it’s another failed attempt. Fine, I reset my password and then sign in again with the brand new one. Another failed attempt and now I have to call customer service to access my account since apparently my face is not my face and my password is not my password. Now keep in mind your phone service is a factor at times and 9/10 times you won’t have issues. You also remote start from very long distances. I wish you see the name/current setting on the main screen, without having to click on view start settings or climate settings to see other options. Even better would be able to have a 1 or two settings to choose from on the Home Screen before I click on start. A dark mode would greatly love to see as well. The app also keeps track of the “health” issues of my car. I had low air in my tires and the app told me which ones. I can also look up my maintenance schedule.
