### 2/5 — Update

*2026-08-19, version 9.2.0*

I’m guessing you pushed a new update bc the app had no record of the training plan that I was half way through. Then it caused my garmin watch to freeze on the workout. Haven’t had problems with it till now but pay way too much for an app to have these issues.

### 4/5 — Love this app!

*2026-06-13, version 9.0.5*

Great for adding a new dimension to your swimming, giving you opportunities to create your own workouts or follow preset ones. My only issue is that I have had some syncing issues between the App on my phone and my Apple Watch both of which I recently upgraded. But I think this maybe technology. I’ve had to delete app and restart which has helped to clear the block. And all my stats are still there. The help section and AI chat are very helpful.

### 2/5 — free options completely gone

*2026-06-12, version 9.0.5*

i’ve been using this app just to accurately track my lap times as apple watch can’t tell when you’re stopped lol and they just took even that away. the only way to use the app is to pay $99 a year and I kinda think that’s disappointing. I don’t even need all the features, not having multiple tiers or yes suddenly getting rid of anything free and only having an AI bot to answer questions is LAME!

### 1/5 — App for cheaters

*2026-05-25, version 9.0.2*

The app supports cheaters. So I bet it’ll round down your times, maybe suggest a PED, etc

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-05-19, version 9.0.1*

This app has degraded substantially since their most recent version updates. Workouts update without user input, filtering doesn’t work, metrics don’t make sense. It’s as if there was no QA done before rolling out new features or versions. Extremely poor UX.

### 3/5 — Great but slight issue

*2026-05-17, version 9.0.1*

This app has transformed the way that I trained my swimming. Endless customization and a great customizable plan. However, I wish the mobile version of the app communicated/synced better with the Apple Watch version of the app. There have been countless times where a planned training session in the mobile app has differed from the watch app. This can range from a slight annoyance to derailing a session if you have a time slot to swim and need to waste 10-20 minutes fiddling with the app on your watch trying to make it sync. I can’t be the only one that experience this issue.

### 3/5 — Disappointing

*2026-05-11, version 9.0.0*

Recently the app does not seem to be processing the data accurately. Will not be renewing this expensive app.
Customer service non existent

### 2/5 — Glitchy, not great customer service

*2026-05-02, version 9.0.0*

I found the app to be glitchy. I was never able to get the display on my Apple Watch to change to my preferences despite multiple interactions with customer service. Sometimes synching was a challenge.

Worst for me was after a serious surgery prevented me from swimming for 6 months, MySwimPro refused to pause my prepaid annual subscription. That’s enough for me. Will not renew.

### 1/5 — An update v9.0 broken the app

*2026-05-01, version 9.0.0*

I’m now on version 9.0 and the slider to change the workout duration does not work like before. Other issues have also appeared. Not cool to break the app that was working wonderfully.
I would be cautious and pay close attention before subscribing permanently.

### 1/5 — Recent update ruined the app

*2026-04-27, version 8.38.4*

After recent update
-Lots of UX changes that are not logical and frustrate me after i am used to the app.
-a lot of new bugs: sync with watch does not work, changing workout distance is buggy

Guys, pls hire QA or something, I payed money and want basic stuff to work just fine

### 1/5 — Nothing free to test

*2026-04-26*

Despite the description, there is absolutely no functionality unless you pay for a subscription. I can’t even manually track my workouts. This is ridiculous and should NOT be marketed as a free app with in-app purchases, since there are no free features. Very disappointed.

**Developer response:** Hi there - we offer a 7 day free trial for users to experience the app before being charged. Please reach out to support@myswimpro.com so we can get you set up with a trial!

### 2/5 — Can’t print workouts?

*2026-04-25, version 8.38.4*

I don’t have an Apple Watch and trying to view the workout on my phone on the pool deck is not functional. Using the splash mode isn’t functional to me either because you need to be able to adjust send offs on the fly. Now printing is not available. So I have to cancel my subscription.

### 2/5 — Last update removed "open PDF" and "send to watch"

*2026-04-13, version 8.38.1*

Hi
When viewing a workout I select the three dots in the upper right to open the menu. The option to open PDF and send to watch are not available anymore.

Of course this is a big deal.
Please fix as soon as possible so we can use our workouts when in the pool.

Thank you

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work on the Apple Watch

*2026-04-12, version 8.38.1*

Update: still very disappointing!!! It now requires OS 9 and above on watches which basically means if you have a series 3 or 4 Apple watch, the app is completely useless on them now. I did not enjoy my experience using this app at all!! Full of technical issues if you are using older devices!

Okay I used to LoVE this app. Even was thinking of getting the annual subscription but they have ruined it with the new update. It doesn’t work on Apple Watch. Jumps out immediately and it’s kind of useless without the watch! Such a shame!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Free capabilities removed

*2026-08-25, version 9.2.0*

They got rid of the free version so now you have to pay to be able to simply log and view your activities. Nice one guys.

### 1/5 — Swim history trapped behind a paywall

*2026-08-14, version 9.2.0*

This app used to track all of my swim workouts even after i stopped using it as a timer when that stopped being free, and now i can’t access any part of the app at all unless i pay an exorbitant amount of money. It was nice to have a history of my swims in one place and to be able to track my progress every year. I didn’t pay for it because it was too expensive and I’m capable of planning my own workouts. And now it’s all gone. What a shame.

### 1/5 — Open Swim doesn’t work

*2026-07-28, version 9.1.1*

Got the app to measure sea swimming. Swam about 700 yards and it said I had swum 1 yard 😄

### 1/5 — WHAT? NOT FREE

*2026-07-27, version 9.1.1*

genuinely absurd asking for 100 dollars a year for an AI swim app. Just use chat gpt at this point lmao!

### 1/5 — Forces you to pay

*2026-07-11, version 9.0.9*

The app is constantly forcing you to sign up for a paid subscription, now when I launch the app, the subscription signup appears and the close button on it doesn’t work, which means you can’t use the app unless you pay, ridiculous. The response I got from MySwimPro is that I should take the 7 day free subscription. A subscription needs to be opt-in not forced. I am now going to delete this app for good

### 1/5 — Pay wall

*2026-07-11, version 9.0.9*

Unable to use any free options on the app like it used to. Everything is behind a massive pay wall. It would be nice to go back to where you when you’re allowed a free workout each day and be unable to save it to library. To be honest, save your money and use ChatGPT to create a workout. It will be better than this app and you’ll save money. Myswimpro, great job :)

### 1/5 — Not free to use

*2026-07-03, version 9.0.8*

I get it most if not all fitness apps nowadays are paid, but mention it at the very start, instead of having me input all my info and all my goals and target distances and get me hyped up just to hit me with a paywall at the end of it. I don’t mind paying, but just out of spite of these misleading tactics I will be using your competitors apps even if I have to pay for them

### 1/5 — Paywall

*2026-06-17, version 9.0.6*

I looked at the app and it looked really cool and so I downloaded it and it instantly wanted me to pay. You can’t even do anything in the app without having to pay like on my workout I can’t even see the distance. terrible app. It looks cool but it’s just a big paywall👎

### 1/5 — The app DOES NOT work n an Apple Watch

*2026-06-17, version 9.0.6*

I purchased the subscription, pulled the app up on my watch and it says I have no subscription and I have to pay an additional $99 to what I assume is access to my swim pro account.

I cancelled it. I’m buying a garmin watch that can track my swims.

This app is not worth it if you can’t use your watch.

### 1/5 — Forces you to pay

*2026-06-15, version 9.0.6*

The app is constantly forcing you to sign up for a paid subscription, now when I launch the app, the subscription signup appears and the close button on it doesn’t work, which means you can’t use the app unless you pay, ridiculous

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app for swimming in my opinion

*2026-08-26, version 9.3.0*

I have been using the MySwimPro for over two years and I would highly recommend it to swimmers of all abilities. I recently completed the cross continental Bosphorus swim which I can honestly say was thoroughly enjoyable and in no small part thanks to the preparation provided by MySwimPro’s app. I followed a four month programme, trusted the process, as they suggested, and it meant I was perfectly ready for the big event. I would highly recommend this app to anyone looking to stay motivated and enjoy their swimming. The dry land routines are also very handy to build strength and endurance. Five stars!!!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for!

*2026-08-18, version 9.2.0*

I’ve been a runner for a long time but had to switch to swimming to rehab an injury. I used to HATE swimming. I was a diver in high school and only swam when I had to. I could barely swim 50 yards without stopping when I started using the app a few weeks ago. I’m four weeks in and my outlook has completely changed! Before I was trying to use AI or guess when creating workouts. MySwimPro simplifies everything! It’s so intuitive and I don’t have to think about it! I love that I can sync it to my Garmin seamlessly. I’m still early in my swimming journey, but MySwimPro has turned my hate of swimming into a love for the sport. Thank you for making such an amazing app!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-08-12, version 9.2.0*

I cannot believe how much I love this app. The workouts based on my goals, the ai coach I can talk to to help with adjustments, the feedback after a swim. Every bit of it is fantastic.

### 5/5 — Pushen mich absolut

*2026-06-30*

### 5/5 — Swimming

*2026-04-03, version 8.36.2*

Great app that works with your I watch. Love it and highly recommend it

### 5/5 — Best swim app available

*2026-03-19, version 8.36.2*

New swim plans at your fingertips.

### 5/5 — My Go To Workouts!

*2026-01-28, version 8.35.0*

I love this app. It has flexibility and is realistic for the serious swimmer and the one just starting! Thanks for all the dry land and in water options. This is always my go-to app at the gym.

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful

*2026-01-06, version 8.34.4*

I started swimming again four months ago using MySwimPro to give me some structure. My times have gone down and I’m regularly swimming 3k sessions. My Apple Watch sometimes misses a lap but that is about the only improvement I could see for my use. Would recommend if you are looking to get back into swimming.

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-01-04, version 8.34.4*

I swam with Masters 20 plus years ago, then started running once kids/work demanded more time. After back issues emerged about 30 months ago, I put away my running shoes and dove back into the pool. Searching for workouts, I found Myswimpro. What a game changer: hundreds of workouts; dozens of long-term training programs - building endurance, IM, stroke-specifics, open water; workout intervals and distances customized for me, synched with my Garmin; and post-workout AI (I assume) analysis. And that's not all - videos on form, drill, even fitness and speed strategy are very helpful. Though I am not swimming with a coach now, I am swimming with a design - a workout progression focussed on helping me achieve goals. Workouts for Speed, Endurance, Form and recovery. My distance has increased five-fold since starting and my times are down. I look forward to the next workout almost as soon as log the last one. I always encourage swimmers to work with coaches. Form is everything and there is always something we can do better. But this app is an ideal tool between those coaching sessions.

### 5/5 — Great personal swim workout generator

*2025-12-18, version 8.34.4*

I’m using this to get back into competitive shape for masters swimming & water polo. There are a few things that I would personally like to see added but as far as a general purpose swimming workout app it gets 5 stars.
