### 4/5 — Easy to use

*2026-08-12*

This app is so great to track how you feel. I was looking for something to track what I eat without worrying about calories and macros etc. It is super easy to use and you can track everything from food to mood and period etc. My only criticism is the lack of database for foods I eat. I wish it was connected to a bigger database so when you scan foods they are actually there. I would say 7/10 times I scan a food it’s not there. Especially since a lot of foods I’m eating are specialty gluten free or dairy items, however I would think a lot of the people using this app would be using the cleaner foods? It’s also a little annoying that when I scan something, add all the ingredients and save it, the next time I scan the food it doesn’t show up based on the barcode.

### 4/5 — It’s a good start!

*2026-06-08*

This program is very useful for tracking health related habits. I’ve been using it for several years with some success. It could be that I don’t understand how to use it better, but I think one improvement I would like to see is a way to pare down for personal use the huge number of nearly identical food items.
It must be difficult for the program to analyze the food you’re eating when you think you’re adding the same one time after time, when it’s actually a copy, slightly different from a previous choice. Other than that, find it very handy other things, especially a record of symptoms or other habits…

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. It helps us to know where things could be improved, and we’ll certainly take your feedback about the food items listings into account as we continue developing the app. Kind regards, mySymptoms Support Team

### 3/5 — Horrendous interaction patterns

*2026-06-06, version 6.2.6*

I’ve just started using this app and the UX is so poor I keep deleting actions and getting stuck in loops - please get a UX designer involved to fix this app, conceptually it’s good but it’s so difficult to adopt because of the clunky interface and bizarre non-standard interaction patterns. Also missing basic geographic features like time zones!

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2026-03-31, version 6.2.4*

This app is awesome. It allows you to track everything about you from eating habits to sleep to exercise to symptoms. The best part is it is so concise so you can see everything on one screen without scrolling up and down. You can customize the categories and add notes. I wish I had found this app ages ago. I use it to track my diet and health issues.

### 5/5 — Doctor Impressed

*2026-03-29, version 6.2.4*

My GI doctor was impressed with this app, especially with the bowel scale used. Helpful for tracking although I think I will load into AI to create a summary and try to understand the data better. It does track hours after certain foods for symptoms.

### 4/5 — So far so good

*2026-03-28, version 6.2.4*

I am helping a family member adopt a therapeutic gluten/dairy free nutrition plan and this app has helped me tremendously

### 3/5 — Nice app but needs work

*2026-03-27, version 6.2.4*

I love this app but I wish I could leave feedback for the developers the email button doesn’t work in the app I have no way of contacting them.

It would be nice if you could view all the notes on one screen and be able to search them.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-03-05, version 6.2.4*

This app has been incredibly helpful. I figured out an allergy I would never have found without it. Also very useful for management of gastrointestinal issues. Easy to use and handles many inputs: diet, mood, supplements, medications, and symptoms. Highly recommend!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not so ‘free’ when subscription is required.

*2026-07-18, version 6.2.6*

won’t let you start a ‘free’ trial without setting up a subscription. Would much rather have a one-time purchase cost than recurring fee.

### 1/5 — No need for a subscription

*2026-07-02, version 6.2.6*

This app should not be subscription based. Pay once and done. Subscription fatigue is very real

### 1/5 — Require requires a paid subscription

*2026-05-20, version 6.2.6*

This app does not show that there are an app purchase options. However, you’re required to sign up for a monthly subscription.

### 1/5 — Only paid option available.

*2026-04-17, version 6.2.5*

This app only operates long term on a paid subscription. No long term free option available.

### 1/5 — Username request broken

*2026-04-10, version 6.2.4*

When creating a username, and the message states it's available then selecting the request. It clears the name and places a different one and it just loops over and over. The request button doesn't create a username. So the app doesn't work.

### 1/5 — Couldn't get past the username selection

*2026-03-11, version 6.2.4*

I tried picking several different anonymous usernames that the app said we're avaliable and then hitting "request" but if just kept returning suggestions for new usernames.i tried agreeing to the one they suggested and it still kept offering me new choices. Forget it. Deleted app.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2025-11-08, version 6.0.15*

Menu is hard to navigate and you only get a 2 week free trail otherwise you have to pay up front. I found it not user friendly, and no real clear way to add what you have eaten, drunk, etc

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-10-27, version 6.0.15*

Can’t log in on phone. Does not work at all

### 1/5 — Email Option Doesn’t Work

*2025-09-09, version 6.0.14*

I purchased this app so I could email my symptoms to my nutritionist, but this app function doesn’t work. I’ve asked for a refund, and we’ll see if that works.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2025-08-23, version 6.0.14*

This is not a free app. You only get a 2 week trial of the app and then have to pay if you want to continue.

### 5/5 — Best app ever! Log everything! No annoying alarms!

*2026-07-20, version 6.2.6*

I love this app. I use it for meds, vitamins, symptoms of all kind. I add if I have a panic attack that is worse than usual. I add my nightmares. I love that you can add the intensity. My favorite thing is no annoying alarms. This is the one app that I HAVE to have when I get a new phone.

### 5/5 — Very useful!

*2026-07-08, version 6.2.6*

This app has been very useful tracking all the things. I would highly recommend. I have only used the free version.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-06-28, version 6.2.6*

I’ve been using this to track Crohn’s symptoms for years. Easy to use. Can generate a pdf for doctors or self tracking m. I always reference it for doctor’s appointments.

### 5/5 — Only app to track symptoms to find trigger

*2026-06-12, version 6.2.6*

The first time I used this app was several years ago. My face would go beet red and I didn’t know the cause. This app told me it correlated with taking my B vitamin supplement. I then learned that what was happening was called a Niacin Flush. I’ve used the app on and off since then. It makes entering there data as easy as it could be. Yes, it is still hard to enter data. But it’s worth the effort.

### 5/5 — Great Help

*2026-06-02, version 6.2.6*

My symptoms has helped me narrow down my food allergies and sensitivities! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Looking good so far

*2026-05-30, version 6.2.6*

I have tried Cara Care and Bowelle, both of which are too simple to be useful to me. This looks promising. It already has a lot of ingredients, supplements and meds that I use and I can add my own. It remembers frequently used items so the app becomes quicker to use as time goes by. I’m looking forward to seeing its analytics, once I have entered a week’s data. Am on a 7-day free trial and no idea yet what a subscription is going to cost!
