If you try to look/edit a completed round with gps shot records, the whole round will be deleted once you exit. I contacted them however didn’t get a response. I’m not really sure why any app developer would remove such a helpful functionality. ### 3/5 — Freezes and shuts down *2023-09-04, version 5.1.3* Features are great on paper. However after using it for the first time, when trying to view the full scorecard after the round, it doesn’t let me rotate to view the scorecard and when I try to scroll across to view the scores further than the 6th-7th hole, the entire app shuts down and closes. ### 3/5 — Advanced mode not available in Australia? *2023-08-19, version 5.1.2* Advanced mode is now available with subscription to MyTaylormade + only, which I did, but the app is not available for Australia. No longer loads any aerial imagery…so have to rely on Course outlines which are questionable at best of times. Please fix to leverage a Satellite map again. ### 3/5 — No More Advanced Stats *2023-05-25, version 5.1.1* Can’t track shots anymore without the new plus subscription, and the subscription service isn’t available in Canada. Wouldn’t mind so much if the option was at least available to consider, but since it isn’t, classic mode just feels very barebones and doesn’t allow for the same data analysis as before. Was able to use advanced mode before it was hidden behind a paywall, kinda disappointed it’s not a viable feature anymore. ### 3/5 — Glitchy *2023-05-13, version 5.1.1* Works well, easily accessible SG data for free - but full of glitches. Occasionally rounds will disappear from your record. Most annoying one by far is how tee shots from previous rounds will suddenly all warp to bang in the middle of the fairway. Really annoying when you’re looking at a scatter plot of all your tee shots. ### 1/5 — Funktioniert nicht wie es soll *2023-02-26* Das App ist eine reine Marketing Daten Krake. Habe es mit iPhone 14 und Watch Ultra bist so ans laufen bekommen dass ich einfach Golf spielen konnte. Aber x Abgaben zu meinem Equipment musst ich machen und konnte noch nicht mal speichern. X-mal speichern ohne positive Bestätigung führte dazu das dann auch alles x mal App war. Und auf der Uhr lief nichts. After my round when I press finish it just reloads the same screen and never finishes. Very frustrating to lose a whole rounds worth of data and makes this completely unusable. Needs to be fixed ASAP! ### 4/5 — Apple Watch *2023-01-22, version 5.1.1* In both modes, advanced and classic, when I attempt to end a round on my watch it seems to freeze. I can see the stats on my phone until I start my next round. To get the next round going, I have to cancel my previous round, deleting all the data. If not for this it would have been a 5 star rating. Love the data in advanced mode. Just can’t get it to save. I hope there is a way to correct this issue. Full disclosure, it might be user error but I’ve explored every option to fix this on my end. ### 1/5 — Broken app *2022-12-09, version 5.1.1* Used to work well. Can’t even log on. Otherwise cool ### 3/5 — Just kinda ‘there’ *2022-09-15, version 5.1.1* It has lots of potential and is good as a free app. However it is a bit limited: 1. I can’t add or document a chipper. 2. Documenting putts on the green is a bit fiddly and not worth doing. 3. It doesn’t tap into the GPS of my Apple Watch so locations and roughs and stuff like that is not accurately noted. Even while I use the watch, the distances are based solely on where the phone is located. 4. It doesn’t allow for alternative scoring - Par rounds, Stableford, etc - so it’s useless for competition play. I’m going back to a paid app until this app is fixed. For what it’s worth, I would gladly pay an annual fee for this app if it has all the features a golfer should expect nowadays. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — +60 *2025-05-14, version 5.1.7* Not a reference to a golf score but the amount of attempts to open this app. ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-05-07, version 5.1.5* Looks like my favorite golf app is now useless. I really loved it and wouldn’t mind paying a small fee to use it. The catch? You can’t subscribe if you are in Canada. What isn’t good about this app however is that when you go back into your round afterwards, it deletes it permanently. I won’t be buying any of their products going forward ### 1/5 — Utter Garbage *2023-06-11, version 5.1.1* If you have to enter any shots manually then just forget it!! It is far too fiddly and sensitive, for some reason it works from the green backwards but when you start on the green your shot order is forwards. If you try to scroll up the screen to head back towards the tee it will add in shots you didn’t play as it’s so sensitive, including in my case a 330ft putt, which I couldn’t remove and had to start from the beginning. I’m at home trying to add my last round as im interested in stats. Twice in the last two months I have completed a round and it’s disappeared without trace. The first time while editing the round on my phone, I took a phone call, when I returned the round was gone. I emailed Taylormade a few weeks ago but no response. Yesterday 6 May 23, I completed a round, pressed “finish round” on the watch but when I went look at it at home, it had disappeared. Please make the Taylormade+ App available in Germany. <3 Thank you. ### 5/5 — Best free GPS golf app *2022-04-06, version 4.1.3* This is by far the best GPS free golf app with Apple Watch connection. Had no issues while using it and was impressed. Some minor bugs like other club photos not showing in my bag section but show up when comparing clubs. Also on an always on display Apple Watch the distance doesn’t update until you raise your wrist, although that might be a limitation with the Apple Watch. Also the App seems to stay active on the watch and shows a direction arrow on the watch screen. ### 5/5 — UI update not good *2022-02-02, version 4.1.2* Hi. Have always loved your app and use it for all my golf tracking. I realise it’s free and this is just an opinion but really don’t like the UI update at all. The old layout was far better, it was clearer, the course map was bigger and generally looked far better. I realise someone has put in significant work and I apologise for the above but I think if you ask your ‘customers’ the vast majority would far prefer the old layout and look. Edit: App always worked before but now keeps crashing. ### 5/5 — I love this app! *2022-01-01, version 3.4* I used it for the first time a couple days ago using my Apple Watch. It’s very easy to use - just a couple taps to add the next shot and select a club. Takes only a few seconds. The only issue I have is adding the putts. Using the watch you just put in the number of putts and then you come back later to record the putt distances on the phone app. So I need to have a way to record the putt distances separately so I can do that. It takes a while to get use to it as you should record your shot every time you are about to hit but it does all that you can wish for. I hope Taylormade keeps enhancing this app cause it’s the best free one out there. ### 5/5 — Absolutely brilliant!! *2021-10-05, version 3.4* I used the app for the first time yesterday. I have an apple watch with built-in gps so i was able to just use my watch to record shots and clubs used - the phone was in my bag during the whole round. Using the watch in-game is pretty straight forward. I'm able to get yardage (thanks to the gps feature which is pretty accurate for the most part), select my club, and record the shot. The app also uses that data to make club suggestions for future holes and rounds - which is very helpful at this stage of my game. Post-game, I pulled up my phone and the stats were all there. I was able to review the shot distances and where they landed - i found this very useful, especIally the tee shots. I could see whether i missed the fairway left or right for each hole (mostly right for this round - something I'd have to work on :) ). There’s something to be said about not having to worry about wrestling a piece of paper and pencil just to keep score. With the app being 100% free (at least at the time of this comment), I probably would have just been happy with the stellar score keeping and tracking feature. Everything else is just a bonus. This app is a real contender against all the other expensive paid ones in my opinion.
