### 4/5 — A different perspective

*2022-11-02, version 9.0*

I enjoy the app for the different perspective it gives of my favorite team(s). Only complaint I have is my fav team (the Phillies) are in the World Series but on Sunday the app switched all news to the Eagles (another fav but not what I wanted to read about). I was unable to find anything to switch the app back to baseball. The next day it had gone back on its own. Need a way (or at least one you can find) to switch between teams or sports.

### 2/5 — Fix the connection…

*2022-08-06, version 9.0*

App will not open when it is connected to WiFi. WiFi needs to be turned off to even get the app to open. If I’m lucky enough to get it to open, the game will not cast to my smart tv. I have watched Phillies baseball this way for the last couple of years, and I’ve never had this issue. It gets hung up on the MyTeams Sports logo and it will not go any further. The game will not load, despite my phone believing it is connected fine. This last only been happening since last Wednesday. Prior to that, I rarely had an issue. Please someone look into this and see what has changed since last Wednesday.

### 3/5 — Buggy, not fully intuitive

*2022-06-22, version 9.0*

It kinda gets the job done, but it is not fully intuitive and is buggy…

- not clear how to switch between teams you’ve added, nor does it really show you what teams are there. It took a LOT of playing to figure out how to switch from one team to another

- app starts in portrait mode, even if you’re in landscape mode. It will switch to landscape mode if you move your iPad back to portrait mode and then rotate, but it doesn’t just figure out how to do it on its own.

- sometimes, it will only play the live video stream inside a window with no options to get it into a full screen. Other times, it will put you into full screen mode with no ways to get out of it and back to the app. There are no controls on this, and fully restarting the app doesn’t guarantee results one way or another. This needs to be fixed!! Also, when it switches to landscape mode, the video becomes too large for the screen and some of it is cut off on both sides.

- it talks about notifications, but I saw nothing about what you want to be notified about and when…

This app also needs to allow for Picture in Picture mode, where I can hit the home button and get out of the app and still get the video in a small window in the corner on my iPad.

Please make this more intuitive and user friendly, and please fix the bugs described above.

### 2/5 — Resuming the live stream is always buggy

*2022-04-22, version 9.0*

Whenever I close the app to answer a message or check a score in another app, I come back to a video stream that is stuck on a commercial loop, or cannot be “caught up” using “Go to live.”

I’d love the ability to see the video become “picture in picture” across apps like the NFL or the TNT apps. Having to force quit to continue watching live is a pain.

Additionally, the live scores in the popover are frequently laggy. I’d be okay with a “refresh” button to manually trigger them.

### 4/5 — Good articles, not the best readability

*2021-12-10, version 9.0*

My only problems with this app are easily fixable. Here’s the suggestions 1) I want to read everything, and get caught up on all the latest for all my local teams, but I only open the app a few times a week - so I scroll down and read them from bottom to top…seems logical since they are sequential and game updates etc following the time…but the app forces you to close each article and then scroll up to get the next one…really cumbersome (and I alone in my approach/concern?), then 2) when you are reading down to the bottom of the article, and you flip too fast, then that fast scrolling closes the article before you can read the last line or two? It’s another usability “feature” to move to the next article below the current one that doesn’t align with my bottoms up approach to devouring all the great content…

### 2/5 — Frustrating experience on iPad

*2021-09-19, version 8.5.1*

When watching live games on my iPad Air (3rd gen) at full screen on landscape mode, the video doesn’t display in letterbox. This results in video being cut off on the sides, which really impacts the viewability of games and plays. Additionally, commercials often seem to cause the video player to freeze. This results in having to kill the app and restart it to get back to a live game. Navigation between teams is frustrating too - the knob like feature is frustrating to use.

### 4/5 — Love this app

*2021-08-26, version 8.5.1*

I really enjoy the interviews, the easy info on schedule, stats etc, but especially the in depth articles from Alex Pavlovicz and others. Today I was not able to see the game and I looked at the scoring info, but I saw that my friend was able to see it with quicker updates and literally watch details of each pitch on her MLB app. So... that was better, but overall I really like the app- I get in-depth info that she doesn’t get.

### 3/5 — Great when it works. Have to close and reopen app when it hangs.

*2021-07-01, version 8.5.1*

Has a habit of freezing during commercials and will not restart unless I completely close the app and restart it. Will often not “go live” after clicking on the “go live” option. Again, requiring that the app be completely closed and reopened in order to catch up with the live broadcast. Pretty annoying.
Also the screen truncates the left and right edges of the picture on my tablet so I can’t always see the scores or clock if the network puts that information on the edge. That only happens in landscape mode.

### 4/5 — Some useful information but lacks detail

*2021-06-23, version 8.5.1*

There is some useful information available. I use the Schedule and division standings often. The active scoring part lags behind the game several minutes and it doesn’t really show you who is doing what. No batting order for example. It also lacks player statistics so you have to go elsewhere for that. It does have articles/video analysis but i tend to get that elsewhere lime during an actual broadcast.

### 4/5 — Would rate 1 star except it has live stream

*2021-06-06, version 8.5.1*

I am grateful that this app can live stream so I gave it 4 stars - although live stream in landscape mode on my iPad cuts off the scoreboard on bottom right of NBA games. Otherwise I would give it 1 star. The layout is too graphic oriented trying too hard to be wow or something - hard to figure out where information is - always seems to start on a screen of a sport I am not interested in right now - like NFL during the summer.

### 4/5 — Not available in my area

*2021-05-22, version 8.5.1*

I am a transplanted Pennsylvanian living in the Atlanta area(35 years now) and still following all the Philly teams but cannot watch any of the games through this app, as it’s not carried by any of the local cable carriers. You should make this app available to be purchased separately from any carrier so that fans outside of the state can still watch the games.

If there is a way to watch the games I be vey happy to hear how

### 2/5 — Gets old fast

*2021-04-22, version 8.4*

A few good articles, and the video options spice things up a little. However, the reporting is very superficial, and doesn’t have anything that an avid follower won’t be able to find elsewhere. There is room for more depth, analysis and variety in stories. Recently, the reporting has sunk to new lows with 50-75% of 49ers stories nothing more than copying various other reporters speculation about the #3 pick. It’s a circle jerk and a pathetic excuse for professional reporting.

Wish they had Major college teams too (Cal, Stanford, etc).

### 4/5 — For a Comcast products, it’s pretty good

*2021-04-04, version 8.4*

The app is more than serviceable. But is very annoying to manage. It’a also not formatted for tablets, so the broadcast is fit to the tablet screen, rather than the standard widescreen format.

For basketball games, broadcasts that typically out the score box in the bottom right corner of the screen, this means the score isn’t visible at all.

For baseball and hockey games, the team names/cities are barely visible.

### 3/5 — Convenient Way to Watch Sixers but Flawed

*2021-03-16, version 8.3*

I use the app very often to watch the Sixers using my tv subscription, but occasionally it logs me out of the connection. This previous time, when I went to log in, I accidentally selected Service Electric Cablevision(vs Service Electric Cable TV and Communications. Obviously I could not log in with my credentials. When I realized my mistake, I backtracked and selected the correct provider. When I logged in, it designated my having logged into Cablevision instead. Because I was logged into a non-existant account/connection, it would not approve me to stream the game. It was then I realized I could not find anywhere to log out of my provider connection through the app. I ended up having to delete and reinstall the app in order to be prompted again to sign into my provider. In hindsight, I perhaps could have logged out of my provider’s site if an actual connection had been made, but it would be great to have that ability in-app along with some sort of actual account/settings page.

Another issue is that on my Ipad, turning my game sideways for full screen cuts out the score every single time, so my only options are to watch it upright in a much smaller window or use Chromecast, which for me often disconnects.

The app is handy but could use some improvement.

TLDR : Issues with provider connection and inability to change provider in-app or access much of an account/connections page, and wide screen viewing cuts off game score.

### 4/5 — Great app to stream your favorite teams on

*2021-02-24, version 8.3*

Overall a great in app experience to stream your favorite sports teams on. I realize that NBC only streams in certain areas across the U.S. but I wish there were more cities teams involved. The only real issue I have with the app is the commercials that I get during the middle of the game and when I have to exit the app and re start it so it goes back to the game.

### 2/5 — No Game

*2021-02-12, version 8.3*

First the app is advertised all over television. Then I downloaded the app and things were cool on every phone I have ever had until I got iPhone. Now I’m passed because I used to be able to see the games on the app no problem, but now the app says that the video is not supported by my cable package. I never had that before and even sitting in my home where my cable is located I still get that same message. I was all for this app but with no game footage to watch when I wanna watch it. I’m good. I’ll have to look elsewhere because this is a waste of space on my phone and time that I don’t have. Thanks but no thanks.

### 4/5 — Pretty Fun

*2020-10-09, version 8.0*

This app is so over advertised that I eventually got it to see what it was about. Its well designed, and often has interesting articles. My main problem is that a lot of the content is just reuploads of TV clips or videos that are already on instagram. You could get most of the same news by following your local NBC Sports Instagram. But there are still some great articles, which gives this a 4/5.

### 4/5 — I really like it!!

*2020-08-22, version 7.3*

The My Teams app is very good. A couple of glitchy things but no big deal. A 5 Star rating is waiting if, while watching a live event, we are able to rewind a little bit in case something was missed. I do like the mini picture-in-picture. It allows to watch then stay listening to the game while looking at other things on the app. Yes, it’s small to see everything going on but you can get a visual idea and still hear the broadcast. I’m cool with it.

### 2/5 — Interface needs work

*2020-08-07, version 7.3*

I like the ease with which you can load the content you want to watch. However the way it automatically goes into full screen mode when the device is in landscape orientation is annoying. Let the user decide when they want to go into full screen mode.

Even more annoying is that, when in full screen mode, the left and right side of the image is cropped. Again, let the user decide that. And I’m sure the sponsors would love to know that a portion of their ads is being cropped for many viewers.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bugs not fixed, no response to problem with app

*2021-10-05, version 8.6*

I have been using the app for a couple years. In May 2021 the app decided to log me out of my tv provider and I tried to log in again. I tap on my provider to log in but nothing ever happens. It doesn’t take me to the log in screen like it’s supposed to, it stays on the same screen. I’ve deleted the app and downloaded it again, I’ve waited for updates, and I’ve contacted MyTeams NBC but none of these methods work and I’ve received no response from NBC. It’s very frustrating that I can’t watch the teams that I pay for to watch and it’s unbelievable that the problem hasn’t been fixed for over half a year now.

### 1/5 — ...Why Cant I Lock My Phone And Hear The Game?

*2021-04-29, version 8.4*

first off, half of these reviews are left by absolute imbeciles who give the app a 5 star rating and proceed to rip it a new one in the review they write. for gods sake open your eyes and look at what youre doing lol this app should have 1.5 star rating. second, the app has a really bad layout. counterintuitive even. also, what do you benefit from not allowing users to lock their device and still hear the game. really, whats the point? youre incentivizing people to just stream the game online for free illegally lol if you want that to end, you have to win people over! and you can start by letting us lock our phones ans listen to the game! not complicated :)

### 1/5 — Unintuitive mess

*2021-04-15, version 8.4*

Compared to other apps this one is severely lacking. For starters the app itself is not intuitive. How do you add teams to your teams after the fact? I do not see anything in settings or an account section of the app. There must be a way to do it though. Also, this app supports minimizing the stream into a picture in picture viewing experience but only within the app itself. The stream goes away the minute you try to go back home whereas other streaming apps let you multitask. Forcing you to stay in-app to view the stream along with an unintuitive user interface is why I give this app 1 star. It's by far the worst live sports streaming app I've used.

### 1/5 — Inconsistent at first leading to broken

*2021-03-25, version 8.4*

For the first year I’d used this app it worked alright, it was missing some features that other similar apps have, like being able to cast to another device. Since the all star break 2021 it doesn’t link with my cable provider correctly and won’t let me watch Washington games and instead has me watch flyers games. I contacted customer service and it took them about a week to contact me, I responded and got another email a couple days later. Now it’s been another week and nothing. Pretty disappointing all around.

### 1/5 — I just want too stream warriors games

*2021-01-09, version 8.1*

I really wish as a die hard warriors fan that there were some way for me too stream the games easier than what’s currently available. Due too blackouts I’m hesitant too drop $75 on a app or tv service I may use once in a while just too find out warriors games are blacked out. I only need too stream once every 3-4 games otherwise I’m home where I can watch it. But it’s just so frustrating missing a game and having tv providers lure you in with the thought of being able too watch your home town team than game time comes and your blacked out. So please if anyone knows of any option out there I’ve missed please inform me

### 1/5 — Always a problem

*2020-02-08, version 6.0*

Every time we go to watch the Flyers games on either our iPad or phone we end up having to delete the app then reinstalling it. And every single time the same message pops up “this program is not available in your region due to rights restrictions.” Last season it worked fine. The iPad is a little over a year old and the phone is a few months old and we are ALWAYS connected to WiFi so I know it’s not on our end. We have complicated circumstances where this is the only way a family member can watch as he is in an assisted living facility. But it’s sad that every time we go in to see if he was able to get it started, he feels like HE did something wrong. “Nope, doesn’t work on my phone either buddy ...sit tight while we fix it again.”😢🤦🏼‍♀️

### 1/5 — Great content, lousy app

*2020-01-31, version 6.0*

Okay, content is more than enough and should be enough to make this a 4-5 star app. So why only two? App mechanics are garbage. Video is what there are pushing so even if it’s not what you want, it’s pushed on you, even when video is not working right and yes, that’s another issue. And why is it impossible to change screen orientation?

Folks, it’s 2020 and blows my mind that this is a ‘finished’ product.

Update: I’m removing a star thanks to the invasive video feed. I’m watching the game on the television and trying to read articles but the video restarts every time I swipe on the page. I keep on turning it off but it won’t stay off. Disappointing that this is the case, wonder why there is no quality check.

### 1/5 — Nothing seems to work

*2019-08-23, version 5.9.1*

Just downloaded the app when I opened the NBC CHI app and it told me to upgrade. Nothing seems to be loading or working, and the app is confusing. I find myself swiping left and right just to see if something else will show up. As for loading, I went to schedule and it’s showing me games from April. The filter is set to Upcoming...and it’s August. Worse yet, none of the score from April are even populated. If I select regular season, those results are filled in, but then I need to manually go to August. What’s the point of giving an option and then it not remotely working? I don’t see any options to watch the local game. Looks like a badly developed app so far.

### 1/5 — Not accessible to the blind

*2018-11-04, version 5.1*

I was excited about this app when I first heard about it. I am a blind iPhone user, and use the built-in screen reader called voice over. When I opened the app, the only thing that I was able to successfully do was select all of my teams. After that, I was not able to do anything. Voiceover says something to the effect that my teams are behind a button and to press and hold the button and then release it, but when I perform those commands nothing happens. I would appreciate it if this app could be made accessible so that people like myself can use it, because right now we are not able to, and I am a huge capitals fan and was looking forward to trying this out.

### 2/5 — Live Video is Okay at Best

*2022-10-22, version 9.0*

The streams work, yes, but if you need to turn off rotation lock, the stream will pause. If you rotate the screen, the stream will freeze completely 30% of the time. There’s no Picture in Picture support. There’s so air play support either. No video scrubbing. The “go live” button will occasionally work too. If you press the “go live” button too soon after opening the app to resume a feed, the entire UI just stops responding and doesn’t go to the live location.

The live video “works” but not well. Surprised this made it to customers at all. Needs major support and updates.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — College teams

*2022-03-07, version 9.0*

Wish you could add your favorite college teams to the app. Could ask colleges to provide the same material they submit via email so no additional editorial work by the developers of the app. Would love to have all this information in one place. I am 80 plus and a female but I still love sports but would love to have it in one place. Thanks. P. Moran.

### 5/5 — Appreciation

*2021-05-19, version 8.5.1*

For a lifelong Boston fan out in San Diego, where most of the four major sports teams from Boston area are seldom on national television during the regular season, this is a great resource for me. Right now I’m keeping up with the Celtics and the Bruins with articles, Game schedules and times, scores and highlights. Especially this time of year May 19, 2021 with both the Celtics and Bruins now in the playoffs, I can get the nationally televised game information for each of those teams from this app.
And independent of this app I get NFL news about my Patriots from I think it’s an NBC Sports app with not games so much is commentaries from the Talking Heads, as well as highlights.

### 5/5 — One of my Favorites

*2020-09-13, version 7.3*

As an app to utilize for my local sports team coverage this has emerged as my go to first app. But also features some of my favorite sports writers and personalities from the local market. The functionality is good not great. Wish I could search out national and other headline sports coverage. But not at the expense of the local coverage. So if your local market is served well by a NBCsn team you’ll likely love it.

### 5/5 — This fits into my busy schedule!

*2019-10-22, version 5.10.2*

I don’t normally follow what is happening with my favorite teams. This ap pushes headlines onto my phone’s screen that I can look at for a moment each time I use my IPhone. If the headline is compelling enough, I can click into the full story when I please. I clear away all the headlines every day or two by clicking one button. I’m quite satisfied, because it fits into my life easily.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2019-09-11, version 5.10*

I love watching the phillies games and this app is perfect for all philly sports teams Love this app it is awesome and would highly recommend it to other Philly fans I also would recommend streaming Eagles games since everyone wants to come home and watch the eagles after they do there grocery shopping but overall A awesome app for people who like Philly teams would highly recommend it

Signed Chris porto who loves Philly sports

### 5/5 — Had good stretch

*2019-08-17, version 5.9.1*

Was good for a few months when I could actually stream my A’s but now it won’t let me watch anymore because of my cable package or something. I will change review to 5-stars when you bring the ability to watch your team back.

Edit: Thank you so much! Turns out that was the problem for all my devices, probably an Xfinity problem. Just added the final 2 stars to this review. This is a 5 star app once again!

### 5/5 — Irritating

*2019-06-03, version 5.8*

PLEASE STOP
SENDING UNSOLICITED MESSAGES! They wake me up at 5 and continue ad nauseum. I will VISIT THE App when I want to get new information otherwise I do not want to be disturbed every five minutes it’s just irritating and alienating and really pretty stupid because only pretty low lives are going to be reading this stuff every five minutes I love the Warriors I love the information but I cannot afford to be disturbed all day and all night and it with intrusions please stop

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-04-03, version 5.6.3*

The only one problem that I have encountered while using this app is that at times it says that it’s not included with my tv subscription but I’ve found that if I log out of my tv provider and then log back in it works just fine. I think that this app is great otherwise. It’s very handy to have all the Bay Area sports on one app and be able to watch the games as well.

### 5/5 — Why is this advertised as a way to watch games when games can not be watched through the app?

*2019-03-27, version 5.5.1*

This app is a waste of time. It was advertised during a spring training game (many many times) as a way to watch my favorite teams when i am not in front of a tv.

Well, here i am, app is downloaded, game is available on my local nbc sport channel, but the game does not appear in the app, there is a scoreboard near the top of my screen, but it isnt updating when the score changes, i am having more luck using the mlb at bat app to send me text messages whenever a run is scored. This is not even remotely functional for how it was advertised. Boo

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2018-10-16, version 5.1*

Happy to see that the NBC Sports App has been totally replaced. This one seems so much better so far. Setup and picking my favorite teams was a breeze, and it's great that it opens up right away to The Cubs, who I put in the number one position.

Nice to have the ability to stream and the team buzz and news all in the same place. I look forward to being able to more easily stream the Bulls and Blackhawks games over the winter and the Cubs next summer.
