This was my first physical tarot card set many years ago. And the mythic stories are a great way to introduce the tarot to beginners. I still have the book, but misplaced the cards over the years. Although I never met Liz Greene I will always consider her one of my great teachers , both in astrology and now in the Tarot. For me the cards have different meanings than the instructional version. I have really enjoyed using this as a tool to aid meditation and mind expansion. Whilst I would never advise basing life decisions on tarot cards it can help to clarify your thoughts about your pathway. At least I have found it so. This app will be a useful adjunct, helping me make up my mind about various things in my life. I love that there are so many layouts available and I LOVE the colour and design of this pack. I was thrilled to find the app. Easy to use and so insightful ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Confusion w/scattered meanings on cards *2018-08-15* First, the cards give multiple, obscure meanings. Very confusing. Needs to be more down to earth and direct. Then, you can't get out of the readings without pressing the back button until you've went back through every page until you get to the main menu again. Sometimes the back button doesn't work and I have to get out of the app completely and re-open again to get to the menu. Definitely not worth purchasing, or worth your time. You'll just confuse the hell out of yourself. ### 4/5 — Lynne *2019-05-29, version 2.1.2* I have been using this deck since I was 14...I’m now 51! Great deck, unique. ### 4/5 — Nice deck *2018-09-09* ...but their Celtic Cross layout takes a little getting used to. It lays the Passing Influences and the Coming Influences cards (i.e. cards 4 and 6) on the opposite sides from the usual. That can make for a confusing interpretation until one works out their layout. ### 4/5 — Good app for experienced readers *2014-10-12* I've done readings with this deck for over twenty years, so it's like seeing an old friend on my iPad. Since I read the cards, it's not easy to do readings for oneself. This is a little more objective way to get quick insight into an issue. I don't think it's quite as accurate as an in person reading, but it's not a bad tool to use once in a while. Unless you are willing to spend time with, & get to know the cards, the interpretations are a little "clinical" & lack the connection you can feel with a real deck in your hands. That's not the fault if this app--just the nature of computerized readings. ### 4/5 — Great deck! *2013-12-17* I love that The Fool's Dog made this deck an app. And that they used the version with the original artwork by Tricia Newell (instead of the art from the later reprint if the deck.) This is a wonderful deck using characters and stories to better bring forth the meanings of the cards. It makes most of the deck that much easier to understand. The suits also are based on myths, for instance, the suit if cups follows the story of Cupid and Psyche. I just wish they had included the full version if the guide book that came with the published hard copy deck. It would be very helpful to be able to read the whole book and learn the deck that much more thoroughly. Please add the full book. Then it came on my iPad , which I bought, and it has been very helpful to me, on my phone as well. This is my number one deck, out off the others I have bought for my iPad. I give it a 10/10. Just one more thing, I can read it in a cafe, a pub, in the doctor’s waiting room. And in the car waiting for my wife, when she goes to the hospital. I would say it’s the perfect app for anyone interested in tarot and Greek mythology. I love that there are many spreads along with explanations on what they mean. Also enjoyed the quick “card meaning” and link to full text. As an app, the UX is easy, wonderful to use and easy yo navigate. Felt thoroughly done, bravo. Jung would be very impressed with how these cards have embraced timeless Greek archetypes. I couldn’t praise the author, artist, and now by gods the app enough. Liz Greene has long been a favorite of mine, for her profoundly insightful interpretations and now I have another in Juliet Sharman-Burke!
