The amount of gold required to upgrade vs the amount you get from a monster has a huge discrepancy. When you hit max level on your axe it’s still not good enough to mine the next tier resources. Kinda turn based in a way. Gotta wait for attacks. Gotta wait for dodge. I wish the monsters scaled to your level instead of being hard to kill. There’s gotta be more drops for the specific class you’re using. More mining/harvesting points would help a lot too(especially since one of the 1st quests is to deliver ore and wood). I do enjoy it. I love the graphics. I love the animations. Just need it to be slightly easier with more drops. ### 5/5 — Surprisingly fun *2024-11-25* I love Dragon Quest Walk, but it’s not available outside of Japan. This game feels a lot like it, but with actually better combat. It’s much better than I anticipated. I just love GPS geo-location games. Can’t wait to see what the dev team has in store. The balance of combat seems off. From the start of the game, even medium enemies are regularly taking me out. If I want to build slowly, easy difficulty fights are few and far between. As I’ve gotten equipment and myself leveled up, the medium fights are still out pacing me. To add context, I’m a fan of difficult games. Souls-like games are pretty standard fare. The GPS accuracy is tricky also. The player character moves in large lurches normally and does not turn with the phones as it does with a couple other AR games I play. Game loop isn’t there yet to level up properly. Just make it so when u tap on them u auto collect and game optional for bonus mats.
