## What is myTruePlate?

myTruePlate tells you what's in your food — and never tells you what to weigh.

Most food apps are calorie ledgers. This one is a transparency tool. Scan a barcode or snap a photo, and you'll see the ingredients, the additives that are restricted or flagged elsewhere in the world, and the source for every claim we make. Then you decide.

PARCHMENT POUCH DINNERS
- Your grocery box, or a photo of a dish, becomes a sealed parchment dinner
- The sheet is drawn at life size: every ingredient outlined where it belongs, the recipe printed on the paper itself
- Lay the food on the drawing, fold, bake once, eat off the paper — or print it at true scale, or project it in AR
- Members get a photo of the finished dish for every dinner they design

TODAY'S SHEET · RECALL GUARD · LABEL LESSON
- One pouch dinner for the whole world, every day, with a photo of it opened on the board. Browse every past one in Prior Recipes
- FDA recalls matched against what you've actually scanned — most days, a quiet green check
- One additive a day: what it is, who restricts it, how many of your scans have it

WHAT'S IN THIS FOOD
- Snap a meal — AI identifies each item with approximate calories, the pictured portion, typical ingredients, and estimated macros
- Scan a barcode for the real label, or search the library and the product database from one box
- Missing product? Photograph the label and add it for everyone
- Every additive flag explains what the ingredient is, where it's restricted, and who says so — EFSA, FDA, IARC, UK FSA
- A Baking & Pantry library alongside veggies, proteins, grains and more

YOUR DAY, YOUR WAY
- Today at a glance: a ring for food-group variety, and a tap away, calories by meal, water against your own goal, movement against your own best day
- A plate you build, not a budget you spend; correct anything you log
- Numbers-off mode hides calories and macros everywhere, while keeping every ingredient flag visible
- Hydration, sleep, movement, weigh-ins with a trend, and supplements & medication with dose, frequency and reminders

TRAIN
- Every workout shows a muscle map — red for primary, yellow for secondary — with sets to tap off and a ring that fills
- 1,270+ demo videos, male and female presenters

COOK WHAT YOU HAVE
- A recipe box with photos, seasonal produce for your region, farmers markets and CSAs near any US town

REAL COACHES
- Find a certified coach or bring your own; you choose exactly what they see. Clients always use myTruePlate free

WHAT WE WON'T DO
We don't set calorie budgets. We don't score your day. We don't call a food good or bad. There are no streaks to break.

myTRUEPLATE PLUS
Optional. Raises the daily AI limits (25 photo scans, 25 coach questions, 30 tips), removes banner ads, and adds a photo of every dinner you design.
- Plus Monthly — $6.99/month
- Plus Yearly — $59.99/year
- Start with 7 days free

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation after the trial. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-06

TALK TO YOUR COACH, OUT LOUD
Record a voice note up to 90 seconds and send it in the same thread as your messages. Both directions - your coach can send one to you, and you can send one back. Sometimes describing how a movement felt is easier said than typed.

TAP WHERE IT FEELS TIGHT
A body map on your daily check-in. Tap a shoulder, your lower back, your calves - whatever is asking for a break. It uses the same figure your workouts light up, so the app can tell your coach you flagged shoulders and shoulders were worked Tuesday.

RECOVERY CAN SOFTEN A DAY - NEVER DEMAND ONE
Turn it on and your tips can notice that your HRV, resting heart rate or sleep sits above or below your own recent average, and suggest an easier session or a rest day. It only ever softens: it will never ask more of you, never show you a number, and never connect any of it to food. Off until you switch it on, separately from connecting Apple Health.

EVERY INGREDIENT, DRAWN AS ITSELF
The pouch sheet used to sort every ingredient into one of thirteen generic shapes, so zucchini came out looking like a lemon wheel. Now there are 74 ingredient-specific drawings - salmon with its grain, a tomato halved to show the seeds, lotus root, whole fish, bok choy - each at its real size on the paper.

SMALLER THINGS THAT ADD UP
- Don't have an ingredient? Tap it for three swaps that do the same job in the dish.
- Today's tips: two or three gentle notes written from what you logged. Never a target.
- Coaches: copy a good week to next week, or save it as a program you can apply again.
- Coaches: a weekly digest of each client, written only from what they chose to share.
- Your coach's messages now sit at the top of Today, and say when something is unread.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-03

A WHOLE NEW LOOK
Warm cream, olive and amber. Cards that lift off the page, photos that fill them, buttons that feel pressable. Every screen, all at once.

THE DAILY SHEET, PHOTOGRAPHED
Every pouch dinner now comes with a photo of the finished dish — the parchment torn open on the board, food sitting on the paper. Members get one for every dinner they design. Browse every past sheet in Prior Recipes.

TODAY AT A GLANCE
A ring for the day: food-group variety by default, and tap any stat to see calories by meal, water against your own goal, or movement against your best recent day. A Day counter shows where your adventure started.

THE MUSCLE MAP
Open any workout and see exactly what it works — red for primary, yellow for secondary — with sets to tap off and a ring that fills as you go.

SUPPLEMENTS & MEDICATION
Flag medication apart from supplements, add a dose and how often, and get a reminder at 8am or 8pm naming exactly what's due.

LOGGING
• Search the food library, then the product database, from one box.
• New Baking & Pantry category: flours, leaveners, sugars, cocoa and more.
• Food logged outside a meal's hours now lands at the top of that meal instead of disappearing.
• Your day rolls over at YOUR midnight, not Greenwich's.

ALSO
• Print any pouch sheet at true scale.
• Weigh-ins with a trend line.
• Prior pouch recipes in a photo calendar.
• Dozens of fixes.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-01

TODAY'S SHEET — one parchment pouch dinner for the whole world, every day. Everyone gets the same drawing; cook it or don't. No streaks, nothing to break.

RECALL GUARD — we watch FDA food recalls and match them against the products you've actually scanned. Most days it's a quiet green check.

LABEL LESSON — one additive a day: what it is, who restricts it, the source, and how many of your scans contain it.

PARCHMENT, REDRAWN
• The sheet is now portrait and fills your screen — tap any blueprint to open it full size, pinch to zoom.
• Real piece counts: a cup of cherry tomatoes is drawn as a cup of cherry tomatoes, halved and all.
• Detailed food outlines, measured seasoning discs, and oil drawn the way it actually pours.
• The recipe is printed on the sheet itself — oven, time, and every step.
• New fold: both long sides come up to a crimped seam, so the whole sheet gets used.

A BIGGER FOOD DATABASE
• Barcode lookups now check our own growing database first, then Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central.
• Scanned something nobody has? Photograph the label and add it — stored openly as a community scan until other scans confirm it.

ALSO FIXED
• Recipes you place in the planner now count toward Nourishment and Intake by meal, including ones you saved earlier.
• Pouch and AI recipes save with real ingredients, amounts and calorie meters.
• Plus memberships re-check themselves at launch, so a renewal can never leave a member looking at ads.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-29

New: Parchment pouch dinners — turn your grocery box or a dish photo into a sealed parchment dinner. The app draws the whole sheet: where everything goes, the recipe printed right on the paper, and an AR mode that projects the blueprint onto your real parchment.

Also in this update:
• Planner: smoother tap and drag.
• Simpler Scan tab.
• Membership fixes and clearer errors. Ad-free is now part of an active Plus membership.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-26

A recipe box you can flick through, and a food box that tells you what to cook.

YOUR RECIPE ROLODEX
Your recipes now live on a card wheel you spin with your thumb. Each card shows the dish, its tags and its timing, and flips over as you pass it. Tap one to open it, or drag it straight onto a day in your week. Tap a blank card to write a new recipe already filed in the right section.

THE LOCAL FOOD BOX
Tell us roughly where you are and we'll show what's actually being harvested near you this month — across the US, Canada and Mexico. Tick what's in your basket, and myTruePlate finds the recipes that use the most of it, so the box gets eaten instead of composted. The vegetable nobody knows what to do with gets called out rather than quietly ignored, and you can ask for dish ideas built around the whole basket.

FARMS AND MARKETS NEAR YOU
Search any US town or ZIP for farmers markets, farm stands, CSAs and on-farm stores, straight from the USDA's directory, with directions and opening seasons.

A RECIPE FROM A PHOTOGRAPH
Take a picture of a finished dish and myTruePlate writes the recipe. It shows you what it thought it saw before anything is saved, so a misread never turns into a bad dinner.

YOUR DAILY AI, VISIBLE
The three AI allowances now sit in the header, so you can see what's left instead of discovering a limit by hitting it.

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
- Recipes carry a menu category, prep and cook time, effort and diet
- Recipe and progress photos move to secure storage, so your data stays quick
- Deleting a photo now deletes it properly, everywhere
- Larger text is supported throughout, and the recipe wheel works with VoiceOver

Still no calorie budgets. Still no scores. Still no food called good or bad.
