People should wear clear clothes for fast security checks. How much money do people have to waste on luggage before they can fly. The app said both checkpoints were open and the wait time at each was 0-15 minutes. Turns out the south checkpoint was completely closed, so I walked the length of the terminal to the north checkpoint, where I ended up waiting about 35 minutes. I can't remember the last time I checked the app (for multiple airports) and it didn't say all checkpoints open, 0-15 minutes wait. It makes me wonder if anyone is even bothering to update the data at these checkpoints. ### 1/5 — Security times are ESTIMATES *2024-12-30, version 4.5.0* Security times are NOT REAL TIME and are only estimates. Incorrect info displayed 60-70% of the time in my experience. Not much purpose for this app beyond that. Same tech that is used for Google maps traffic can be used because nearly 100% people are carrying cell phones that are tracking locations / wait times ### 1/5 — Inaccurate-Do Not Trust It *2024-06-27, version 4.1.6* I am at DFW and the average time shows 15 minutes. It took me 35 minutes to get through the TSA screening. All TSA checkpoints had insanely long lines and none of them looked like they’re only 15 minutes to get through. Says wait time for regular tsa is 0-15. Yeah, no. ### 2/5 — Way off *2024-06-08, version 4.1.6* Was quoted less than a 15 minute wait for O’Hare security on 6/8 midday. Actual wait was 50 minutes ### 2/5 — TSA Digital ID? *2024-05-23, version 4.1.5* SO they advertise this TSA Digital ID in airports. They say go to this app and set it up. Unfortunately you cannot. It is the typical disorganized federal government double talk speaking to themselves with all kinds of silly product names nobody else knows or understands as qualifiers for features. Long story short, TSA Digital IDs, don’t bother. ### 3/5 — Not Real Time Info *2024-05-04* The app is a great idea. I figured I can see how good or bad the wait at the security lines is. However, after using it I determined it is just giving you the collective average wait time for that time on that day - not what is actually happening. The average wait time for 3:00 on a Monday based on months or years of data. First of all, it says the wait times at all JFK terminals is the same. How can all 4 terminals have the same wait time! And the max wait time it displays is “greater than 60 minutes.” This could be 61 minutes or it could be 200 minutes…. DFW web site shows wait times at each checkpoint in each terminal. This app just reports overall time range for whole airport. I has just re-downloaded it because it is such an amazing app. The AI has issues but besides that it is a pretty amazing app when I’m not sure something can get through the TSA I will check the app. I have to fly to school ever week so this gets handy when my teachers or AIDS give me something that I need to take home that I’m not sure will be allowed.
