But the reason I paid the $9.99 and stopped using TuneIn was to stop hearing U.S.-based commercials before the start of a radio stream from GREECE. It is insulting to read the developer's responses to other reviewers that the pro version only eliminates "visual" ads. That is NOT the claim that the developer makes when pitching the pro version. The claim makes no such differentiation, and that is why I feel deceived. Your product is excellent. But your pitch to customers should have been clearer. And telling customers like me who want and deserve a refund to take up that issue with Apple is a failure to stand behind your word and your product. I respectfully urge you to undo that failure and to give refunds to those who want them. Hope you can add oldies stations with dj schedule info too. I lov this app because of all the features it offers. Please add current show info at the dj schedule. Update upon checking there are a number of radio stations in the Hudson Valley and New York City not working saying not available yet. May I suggest you add a button to report not working stations. ### 4/5 — Wish it supported streaming lossless radio stations *2024-04-21* It’s obvious that if you manually add a radio station streaming lossless or very high resolution music, the app is unable to play anything, saying "This radio is currently unavailable,” which is not true. In anticipation of this I download podcasts in advance. But… often I Can’t start or switch a podcast unless I’m in range of data. Big frustration !! Especially when I’m in the middle of nowhere. Can you fix the app so it doesn’t phone home (or whatever). Second request. Can you please add the option to change the sort order of podcasts from newest to oldest - to oldest to newest? This is important for catching up on series where you want the app to automatically play the next newest release. Thanks in advance. Happy to change my rating if these issues can fixed. I keep getting ici première montreal when I use the Icon. You should correct this very unnerving bug. Can be used as an additional foreign language learning resource. Not all stations listed in the app work and occasionally when listening to a foreign radio station one might hear a local American commercial, even with the Pro version. No idea why a foreign station would advertise a local American commercial and in English. Strange and app developers say they aren’t interstitials or banners. Not a big deal though because it’s a random occurrence. Best regards, Support Team ### 4/5 — Great app *2022-02-22* I’ve been a paid user for a while now and think it’s a great app. However, the Watch app doesn’t appear to be a stand-alone app. I tried running it when out for a walk without my iPhone and it wouldn’t work. I got a message along the lines of, “can’t connect to iPhone app.” Or something like that. That’s disappointing as I was looking forward leaving my phone at home when I go for a walk. ### 4/5 — Good app been using for years but…. *2022-01-30, version 8.2.2* There seems to be no AirPlay support 😕 The App for AppleTV needs work. Shame .. ### 1/5 — A complete dog’s breakfast of an app! *2021-11-19* I purchased the Pro version of MyTuner Radio to replace TuneIn for listening to international stations - it worked well for a while but now will only play UK stations. No explanation - not a cheap app so I feel robbed. Save your money- this app offers no more than TuneIn for UK listeners. Update 24 October- I was pleased to see an update for this app today 8.1.1 - did it fix the problem with international stations? No! I think the developer has no intention of fixing this issue or it would have been done by now- avoid Update 19th November Previous update 8.2 restored international stations for listeners in the UK - but removed UK ones! Latest update 8.2.1 restores UK stations for UK listeners but removes international ones again! A complete dog’s breakfast- very poor service from a paid for app. I hope the developers fix it or offer a refund!! Any station outside the UK is not playable now. Turned into a rubbish as for UK Radio stations any car or web browser will do. Now they have updated it and you can only get UK stations. I do not live in the UK, I don’t want UK radio, recently my local radio station became not available through this app. Wrote to customer service and they say you can only get UK stations when in the UK, I sent them proof that I was not in the UK and that the app was not allowing me to access my local stations near me. Best regards, Support team ### 1/5 — Mac incompatible *2021-10-30* I installed this on my MacBook Pro. Problem. Tuning in ABC Classic caused the app to take control of the computer. It ignored the plugging in of headphones and the computer volume and mute controls. However, on ABC Classic 2 everything worked normally. Tried many other stations and some produced the first result and some the second. Discussed it with my tech consultant and he advised me to uninstall it immediately. I tried updating the OS but it made no difference. The computer is only about two years old. Money wasted. I have a modern iPad which has amazing built-in speakers, ideal for use as a bedside radio. I’ve customised the stations and EQ to my taste and use the timer to close itself down by the time I’m asleep. My main uses are though the app on my phone and via the MyTuner Radio skill on my Alexa device. I recently had an issue with my favourite station no longer connecting . After contacting the developers the problem was fixed within a day. How great is that! I’m impressed. I highly recommend this app. BTW; be aware that any advertising you may hear comes from the radio stream you’ve selected and not from the app developer. ### 5/5 — Radio for the internet age *2024-05-14* I’ve got this app on an old iPad and just leave it permnently Bluetooth connected to my stereo system > worldwide radio. Works with my Apple HomePod, no problems so far. Although MMM FM, 104.9 is not picked up by this app. The stations that are not available have got an x on the top right hand corner of the picture of the station. I don’t listen to MMM often and I have an AM/FM radio which picks it up when I feel like listening to that station. I consider the radio app 'Receiver' also excellent, but find myself coming back here because, in part, they are loyal to me too; intermittently we part, but I am not subjected to subscription threats. I consider loyalty above ALL other qualities in dictating who/whom I'll promote (initial moral & ethical criteria already checked). BUT, get this...you can have an EQUALIZER inside the app. Big deal for real in the positive and, thus, rare sense of the idiom (idioms for idiots excepting). My good opinion is worthy of your considerations as I rarely promote organization...never trust the 'us', 'we', and 'they-them's' of the world.
