## What is MytView?

MytView is a companion app for the self-hosted MytView server, which you run on your own hardware (Docker). It is not a standalone player — it needs a server to sign in to.

Sign in to your own media server and watch your personal video library on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Your files stream directly from a server you run and control — nothing is sent to the cloud.

REQUIRES YOUR OWN SERVER
MytView is a client for a self-hosted personal media server. Run the MytView server on your own hardware with Docker, point the app at it, and sign in. Without your own server, the app has nothing to play.

No cloud service, no analytics, no ads. The app talks only to your server. TV pairing relays only a one-time encrypted handshake — no media ever passes through it.
