### 4/5 — Location doesn’t work

*2026-05-12, version 11.5.3*

Trying to use save my spot or finding an urgent care, location or any location for that matter doesn’t work. You guys need to fix the app.

### 2/5 — Functional Barrier

*2026-02-03, version 11.4.60*

The hospital has dehumanized the doctor/ patient relationship. There is no compassion from staff, doctors, or administrators.

At one point in time there was the concept of a “good bedside manner”
Your lucky ghe doctor is in the building 🥵

### 2/5 — Customer service

*2025-07-30, version 11.3.3*

Great care. Some of the best nurses I’ve ever dealt with. Dealing with everything else was a cluster———!!
The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. I’ll go so far to say that the index finger on the left hand doesn’t know what the ring finger on the left hand is doing.

### 4/5 — Convenience

*2025-03-03, version 10.9.2*

Can you make the app automatically adjust from portrait to landscape orientation.

### 5/5 — Shadoooooooooggerrrssss

*2024-12-16, version 10.9.2*

The only way

### 4/5 — Dr. Brownlow

*2024-10-07, version 10.9.2*

Thanks for the good care.

### 2/5 — Unresolved login issues

*2024-09-05, version 10.9.2*

Have spoken with support a number times regarding app login and logout issues. Fixed several months ago by support, only to disappear again recently. Support with support today and tech was unable to resolve issues. Tech texted her manager however no reply was received. I said I would try again tomorrow.

Another provider uses MyChart and that provider’s app always works perfectly each and every time on offering multiple options to easily login and permit me to stay logged while using their MyChart to read info and also to submit data, forms without being logged out repeating while keying data/info, wiping the form back to blank repeatly unless one “saves form to complete later” and then immediately re-accesses form to continue updates. The setup on Scripp’s MyChart has worked perfectly since day one. It is easy to use, user friendly, permits easy access, and the ability to remain logged in without automatic logout while using their app. UCSD’s MyChart by Epic has had the same issues repeatedly since day one setup. When UCSD tech support was finally able to activate two features always available in Scripps MyChart, the two features worked for several months than randomly disappeared. In addition, the UCSD app screen does not fit within the app window (too wide, lops off about 1/4 of info on right side), and also places radial buttons below or partially below the button the screen (as app screen not only to wide on home page prior to login, once logged in app screen is occasionally too long). UCSD Tech today suggested problem was likely with my phone settings. I disagreed as the Scripps MyChart works on my phone and options are set the same for both apps. I see other user reviews of UCSD’s MyChart report repetitive issues, and lower than 5-star ratings (2 to 4-stars appear frequently). Perhaps Epic’s tech support could me contacted by UCSD to explore/discover what is causing the differences in the same app under two different health care providers?

### 5/5 — UCSD

*2024-08-30, version 10.9.2*

Terrific hospitals and clinics. Can’t wait for larger facility in Ranco Bernardo.

### 4/5 — Primary care

*2024-08-22, version 10.9.2*

Always worries about the patients welfare. Makes sure that I understand the medical procedures that I’m going through .

### 5/5 — Yeah, seems reasonably easy, but it’s worth it

*2024-08-12, version 10.9.2*

This team of surgeons here is second to none they’re the best in the world , pulmonary arterial, hypertension, if you’re getting a bypass surgery or lungs they are amazing They performed over 5000 of these surgeries called the PAH. It’s a very very invasive long horrible surgery, but they are amazing.

### 5/5 — UCI

*2024-06-30, version 10.7.4*

Since I have been going there as a patient the Orthopedic surgeon and his staff have been great and very supportive and helpful.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2024-06-26, version 10.7.4*

The app keeps unexpectedly timing me out and the tech support people aren’t interested in looking into it. And I’m having a lot of problems finding a good primary care doctor and there’s no way I can remove the names of the terrible doctors I’ve been to from the list when you want to message a physician. Just seeing the names of these incompetent physicians makes my stomach hurt.

### 5/5 — App Excellence

*2024-06-11, version 10.7.4*

Taking something with as many moving parts as your healthcare and wrapping it all up in one easy to use app, this exemplary app simplifies all your healthcare at a glance. With easy to understand icons and specific message notifications, you’ll never need to worry about missing an appointment. Just don’t lose your phone…lol

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Another broken app

*2026-07-21, version 11.7.6*

Could you just revert to the working version and get rid of this garbage!

### 1/5 — Touch ID sucks

*2026-03-06, version 11.4.60*

Touch ID thumbprint only partially shows on screen, if it shows at all. So I need to type user name and password in each time. 👎👎👎

### 1/5 — This app is shameful

*2025-07-02, version 11.2.6*

How did this get through app review? Look’s shiny but nothing works! Fitting of UCSD.

### 1/5 — Worse healthcare app

*2025-05-08, version 11.2*

App always crashes. I’ve had 3 different healthcare apps and never had issues until I used the UCSD app. Very frustrating

### 1/5 — UCSD app does not support IPads.

*2025-03-07, version 10.9.2*

Landscape isn’t supported hence it’s sideways. Not useful. In general the IT department at UCSD is terrible. Can’t schedule specialist from the app or online, have to call and wait for up to an hour to get an appointment.

### 1/5 — This app

*2024-08-31, version 10.9.2*

This app doesn’t reorient for iPad.

### 1/5 — Erroneous messages

*2024-07-12, version 10.7.4*

I keep getting messages about a test result and to log in to my harts. I don’t have any tests. Second time this happened. Tried calling and transferred all over. No one cares to fix the system

### 1/5 — Why don’t they let us see our appointment time?!?!

*2024-06-05, version 10.7.4*

The app is pretty great otherwise, but when you go to check an appointment, it gives you the date only. Not the time. 😳🤨
So you have to call and wait on hold forever just to find out the time. SUUUPER annoying.

Don’t they want us using the app more, so they don’t have to hire as many people to answer phones? Isn’t that the point of the app?

If they want us to be on time we need to know when to be there, or don’t be surprised or upset if people are late.

### 1/5 — -43 stars

*2023-11-29, version 10.5.3*

Why do I have this loathsome pile of bits gatekeeping my healthcare? Everything about this app is horrid, starting with the arcane nonsensical hoops you have to jump through just to get started, to its insane refusal to remember even my g@dd4mn username, let alone password, to the bizarre and horrid layout for accomplishing the simplest tasks, like “when is my appointment tomorrow?”

This thing just needs to be put down, like a rabid possum.

### 1/5 — Bad customer service

*2023-10-19, version 10.5.3*

This location in Carlsbad is raíces against latino american people the latino people that work there is the raíces one more from check in to the people that runs the hospital the manager in charge is also more raices this is not a good clinic or hospital to see they prefer white people only and I have it on video

I was there on referral and they were so much better then where I came from.

### 5/5 — Pre- Procedure Update

*2026-04-16, version 11.5.3*

Donna was very informative of how my heart procedure would go and what medicationsI need not to take and when. She also informed me of a call I will receive from the anesthesiologist several weeks before my procedure. She explained how the watchman Dr. Han will install works.

Very comprehensive and communicative care.

Thx. Ron Feibusch

### 5/5 — Fearless Faith

*2026-03-05, version 11.4.60*

I am so thrilled with this app & UCSD. They are definitely on top of everything from appointments to test & results & reminder & easy to understand result charts. This is the best I’ve ever come across in my own experience.

Easy to acess and check everything : appointments, refill medicine…….

### 5/5 — BEST PAIN DOCTOR

*2025-09-11, version 11.4.60*

Dr. Furnish was referred by my primary doctor at Scripps. I have had bad experiences with other pain doctors who did not seem to understand my pain from having CRPS. Dr. Furnish has been doing my blocks and it has relieved the pain. I am blessed he is my doctor. I strongly recommend him.

### 5/5 — Dr. Dave

### 5/5 — The art of caring

*2025-07-04, version 11.2.6*

I have just returned from a visit to the Hilltop MRI clinic where my wife underwent a brain scan due to her memory loss. We were both treated with outstanding caring and understanding. This team receives my highest possible recommendation.
