## What is myUDE?

myUDE is the official campus app of the University of Duisburg-Essen.

The Campus-App.nrw project, which began in April 2022 and in which the "Zentrum für Informations- und Mediendienste" (ZIM) is the consortium leader, has begun developing the joint ‘universe’ framework for a new campus app together with other universities.

The following functions are already included in the myUDE app:
- Current menus for the various canteens in Duisburg and Essen
- Search function and display of current availability for the university library
- Digital access to tickets and ID cards, e.g. library card and semester ticket
- Multilingualism: The app can be used in English or German.

Es gibt keine nützlichen Funktionen, im Prinzip ist es nur eine Sammlung von Links ohne jeglichen Mehrwert.

Edit:  Danke für die Antwort, das ist aber momentan noch das unnützeste Anwendungsgebiet, ich geh ja mehr zur Uni als in die Kantine. 

P.S. macht mal Darkmode


Update: is immer noch kompletter Müll aber Darmode ist implementiert, ebenso dass das Semesterticket im Wallet gespeichert werden kann. Aber trotzdem was das? Is das n Hobbyprojekt? Dürfen da die Erstsemester mal bisschen dran rumtüffteln? Wieso kommt ihr nicht ausse Pötte? Das is doch langsam lächerlich, dass wir immer noch auf Funktionen warten, die in der alten App Standard waren.

Anzeige von Speisepläne und Öffnungszeiten oder den digitalen Bib-Ausweis an. Wir arbeiten laufend an neuen Features und bieten die Widgets teilweise als Übergangslösung an. Die App erfüllt ihre Hauptfunktion: Sie zeigt den Studierendenausweis und das Semester-Ticket an. 
Für gefühlt alles andere wird einfach ein externer Link geöffnet - Das ist Mindestmaß, sehr unelegant und auf dem Niveau der Apps von China-Shops.

Das user Interface ist in der Struktur übersichtlich, gewinnt aber keinem Design Award und hält sich ein kein bestehendes UX System.
Ich weiß nicht warum man nicht einfach Flutter als Framework mit Material Design in den Uni CI Farben verwendet.

Dass die App die vorherigen Funktionen auch noch nicht umgesetzt hat ist mir auch ein Rätsel. Liegt’s am Budget oder habt ihr 
grad keine Leute da?

Also jetzt mal Butter bei die Fische Leute. Die App ist immer noch mehr link Sammlung als App. Gibt es momentan Schwierigkeiten, den Stundenplan und die anderen Services auszubauen oder gibt es kein Personal? Kein Budget? Ich würde ja selbst gern die App mit optimieren in einem Hackathon oder so. But please do something!

Nichtsahnend bin ich guter Dinge in die Bahn eingestiegen und wollte auch brav mein Ticket dem Kontrolleur zur Verfügung stellen. 

Nur war ich ohne Vorwarnung abgemeldet worden. Anmelden ließ die App mich in diesem Moment auch nicht. Nachdem ich zähneknirschend den gelben Zettel der Schande entgegengenommen habe und wieder zuhause war ging es dann wieder, ohne das ich mich anmelden musste. 

Danke für nichts liebe MyUDE. 

Der Appzwang nur für das Deutschlandticket ist generell Rotz. Früher konnte man das ausdrucken und hatte ein Semester Ruhe und musste keine Angst haben ohne Akku nicht mehr fahren zu können.

Seit gefühlt mehreren Dekaden hat man es nicht hinbekommen die externen Links zu entfernen und alles in die App zu integrieren. Schade ist, dass nicht einmal ein Fortschritt diesbezüglich zu erkennen ist. Stattdessen hat man es aber geschafft Fotos von Mensa-Gerichten einzufügen (was natürlich fundamental ist). Wie den anderen Studierenden fehlt mir auch besonders der Stundenplan, die Leistungsübersicht etc. Ich will einfach die alte App zurück :) Ernstgemeint gut finde ich aber, dass man wenigstens das Semesterticket in der App öffnen und noch besser sogar in die Wallet einfügen kann!

Ergänzung: Habe gesehen, dass bspw. die Leistungsübersicht schon im April in Arbeit war. Ich weiß nicht, warum man es bis Ende November immer noch nicht hinbekommen hat.

Also, ich kann viele der negativ Kommentare hier nicht verstehen. 

Benutze die App sehr regelmäßig vor allen Dingen um zu schauen, was es in der Mensa gibt. Finde es auch gut, dass man genau sieht, welche Gerichte vegan sind, aber auch welche Nebenspeisen/Desserts vegan oder nicht vegan sind.

Jetzt gerade habe ich mir zum ersten Mal ein Buch über die App runtergeladen, was erstaunlich schnell und unkompliziert ging (lediglich einmal neu anmelden mit Unikennung). 

Mit dem Semesterticket hatte ich bisher noch nie Probleme in der Bahn, aber ich denke auch, dass die letzten Updates da viel zu beigetragen hatten.

Einen Verbesserungsvorschlag, den ich im Moment noch hätte, wäre, dass man auf das Mensaessen klicken könnte und einem genau die Inhaltsstoffe/Zutaten angezeigt werden, da ja manche Menschen manche Sachen einfach nicht mögen (eine Freundin von mir ist zum Beispiel keine Tomaten).
