Like this morning I've tried to refresh the notifications to see when my kids woke up, and it wouldn't load from last night motion detections. The sound detections are also suuuuper sensitive, so it picks up on any sound like a car passing by. Ads in dollars despite not living in the US. I also can’t get rid of the ad. The only way to dismiss the ad is to restart the app slowing down why notifications are going off and whether my child needs help or not. The worst part is you can’t close it unless you click through it. This is supposed to be a baby monitor, not an advertising platform, after paying so much for the camera I shouldn’t have to deal with force advert when I’m trying to feel my baby ### 1/5 — Its A Matter of Safety *2026-06-11, version 2.69.3* The new ads cannot be closed and pose a serious threat when you’re needing to quickly check on a child. If this is how it’s going to be, we will be ditching Vtech. ### 1/5 — Not Happy *2026-06-11, version 2.69.3* VTech has started to push ads on the App which cannot be closed and renders App useless. Only a forced closure and reopening the app can you get rid of the promotional advertising. Which may appear again at random. No where in settings can you turn it off. After spending a small fortune on VTech baby monitors, not very happy at the moment and will not recommend this app or VTech equipment. ### 1/5 — App Sucks and Cameras Loud *2026-06-10, version 2.69.3* First of all, stop sending unclosable ad pop ups when you first open the app. Parents need to be able to see their monitors for a reason and it’s NOT to see an ad. At least have the courtesy to make it closable; you can’t even X out if you open the ad and go back to the app!!! Same thing with the premium subscription, I paid a lot of money for these products, I’ve already told you countless times I’m not subscribing to premium features so stop asking!!! This is such a terrible user experience and it’s completely unnecessary to spam ads on parents when they’re actively trying to view this kids. There’s an issue with the heat sensor where it sends an alarm on the monitor non-stop at 69 degrees, why? I’ve checked settings to verify that it wasn’t something that reset during an update or something and there’s nothing. The camera click on loud when you open them, enough to wake a just settled baby… When this system dies, I won’t purchase again. I will also never recommend this to anyone I know. It records but it’s stuck from days before and just won’t upload this is nonsense and even if you try to delete events to see if it will pop pup, nothing ### 1/5 — Not that great *2026-09-03, version 2.72.12* Generally works fine; but the video detections recordings sucks. You cannot access the detection recordings. The live feed takes forever to load so we’re never able to look at a “motion detected” notification as it’s happening. The app also never captures video recordings of movement. My son woke up, got out of his bed and walked around his room for a bit but the app didn’t record any of that motion. Additionally, the motion log is always 2-3 days behind. Right now the app is currently displaying motion from 7/30/26. It is 8/3/26. We unfortunately have to buy a new camera because it’s important for us to be able to see how often our son wakes up throughout the night and the lack of recordings doesn’t allow us to do that and there is no peace of mind right now. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2026-07-26, version 2.69.3* Camera with monitor works well, the app though is terrible. Takes multiple attempts of reloading it to actually connect to the camera. When it does eventually connect, the app functions like turning on the light doesn’t work, for which you have to swipe up and reload several times also. There’s always some kind of connection issue even when there is full internet access and power for the camera. The notifications are incessant and go off almost every minute even if you change the settings. There’s always something wrong or not working and our whole experience with this app has been abysmal.
