## Newest reviews (10 of 30)

### 4/5 — Fun & Handy.

*2021-09-27, version 3.7*

Database hasn’t been updated since June 4. It seems updates were more frequent in the past. I’d hate to see this app go away.

### 3/5 — Useful for lookup, poor history functionality

*2021-02-08, version 3.7*

The history functionality is way under developed. Needs search, individual remove, browse, etc.

### 3/5 — Disappointed in losing the E-Mail feature

*2020-10-09, version 3.7*

Love this app and use it frequently for my biz jet searches. I would then e-mail my searches for my log book. Sorry it was removed . Add fresher data updates, e-mail and more features and I’d pay a small premium for the App. I would give the app a 5 if the features were returned.
BRING BACK VER 2.0 download feature!!!!

### 4/5 — I want more

*2017-09-12, version 3.3*

Great app but also need to include the ability to input s pilot name to see N numbers registered to him.

### 4/5 — Good, but needs update

*2015-05-14, version 2.1*

App works great, but I haven't been able to look up some aircraft. This has mostly occurred on newer aircraft. It has found about 98% of the planes I've looked up though, so I'd say it's a dollar well spent.

### 3/5 — Nice but way out of date

*2014-10-30*

Sadly the database that is downloaded to the app on the device (iPhone iPad etc) hasn't been updated for a while now making the info it delivers out of date. It's a nice app spoiled by lack of updates to the information - updates to the data should really take place weekly or at least monthly

### 4/5 — Great little tool, but . . .

*2012-12-19, version 2.1*

I love being able to look up N-numbers wherever I am, but I'll be darned if I can figure out how to update the database, as mentioned in the product description.

### 3/5 — N Numbers

*2011-09-29, version 1.0*

Works well, and is handy to look up information on a certain aircraft.
HOWEVER!!!.......The database is way out of date, as there are planes registered for over a year that do not exist on N Numbers. So, for the money and entertainment value, it is worth it. Just don't expect to have the most up to date information.

### 3/5 — Updated database

*2011-06-23, version 1.0*

Needs a more frequent update for the data. It's 6 months old currently!

### 4/5 — Does What it says

*2010-08-22, version 0*

I work for an OEM. Even our greenies show up in this. It would be a nice function if I could simply use the Camera to input the Tail Number <hint, hint>. But works great as is

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No longer updated - stale data

*2024-02-20, version 3.7*

Database is no longer updated. Was a great little app, but it is no longer useful. Please consider updating. I would pay for it.

### 1/5 — Bait and Switch

*2022-12-29, version 3.7*

This app jumped the shark . Worked great for over a decade , then for some reason our searches are no longer downloadable which means it’s worthless at this point . Seems developer made his money and then dropped the ball . No updates for over 2 years but removed the only function that made this app stand out above the rest .

### 1/5 — Outdated database

*2022-08-18, version 3.7*

Wasted $1 on this. Immediately deleted. Database is out of date.

### 2/5 — Used to be great

*2024-08-18, version 3.7*

Seems like they haven’t updated the data in a couple of years.

### 2/5 — N

*2024-01-13, version 3.7*

Way out of date

### 2/5 — Database Update????

*2022-05-16, version 3.7*

Does this database even get updated anymore? My plane still shows the old owner from 2021.

### 2/5 — Shouldn’t the data be current?

*2019-07-12, version 3.6*

I downloaded the app, thinking I would use it mostly when I’m out. For now though, I’ll look up my tail number. I bought the plane a couple of months ago. Already have my registration card in my plane. This app still shows old owner's name and info. If you need current info, this app may not be the one for you.

### 3/5 — Nice but out of date

*2023-11-14, version 3.7*

Nice and useful but database is over a year old

### 3/5 — Long time to update.

*2023-07-31, version 3.7*

I echo MCguiver2’s experience except I have owned my airplane now for 17 months and it’s still not updated on their website it. The FAA has had it correct for nine months.

### 3/5 — Long time to update ownership changes

*2023-07-23*

I use this app and enjoy it. However, I bought my airplane a year and a half ago and it still hasn’t been updated to show me as the owner. It shows the owner from two years ago. The FAA shows me as the owner, even though that took 11 months to happen. I have the latest update downloaded, so I don’t understand from where you are getting your information and why it lags so far behind the FAA database for ownership.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app that I use on almost every flight

*2024-10-24*

I’ve been using this app for a few years. I use it on almost every flight out of curiosity to look up certain numbers I hear on frequency. The database had not been updated in nearly 2 years and it was becoming less useful so I reached out to the developer and asked when the update would happen and within a couple days he provided an update. Great response time and follow up.

### 5/5 — Update database

*2024-09-11, version 3.7*

Needs database from FAA website update.

### 5/5 — Add Mode S Code

*2022-09-04, version 3.7*

App as it is, is very useful. I use the app to learn the ‘type’ of airplane nearby when the N number is displayed on my ADSB IN Traffic display. Some aircraft are displayed on traffic display with a call sign other than their N number. Garmin Pilot users can see hexadecimal Mode S Code of traffic. It would be nice if N number app would include hexadecimal Mode S Code display and search. This would allow N number app users to learn the aircraft type on call sign displayed traffic.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2017-03-28, version 3.2*

Works exactly as advertised. I look up a lot of N numbers and this simplifies and speeds up the process significantly.

### 5/5 — Great Aviation App

*2013-08-01, version 2.1*

This app is very handy for a quick N-number look-up. When a plane taxis in, you can identify the owner and aircraft type in just a few second and you don't need any cell service as all the data is in a compressed database within the app. I refer to this app all the time.

### 5/5 — N Numbers

*2012-08-01, version 2.0*

Very good app. I have found many tail numbers with this program. I am often curious where airplanes come from.

### 5/5 — Great App.

*2012-01-14, version 2.0*

Seems to up to date, and accurate. Use this app all the time. Interesting to see who owns the planes I see daily.

### 5/5 — A Must Own Application

*2011-01-05, version 0*

If you are a pilot this is a must own application! It contains the entire FAA registration database in compressed format. Simply type the N number into the search box and the ownership record is returned. It works in the air and does not need an Internet connection. I find I use this application EVERY time I fly and every time I drive by the airport and see a new plane. Without a doubt it is one of my most used iPhone and iPad applications.

### 4/5 — N X 211

*2022-10-23, version 3.7*

It would be nice if you did have the Spirt of St. Louis in the database for at least fun and historic moments.

### 4/5 — Great offline tool

*2022-02-11, version 3.7*

Looks as if this has become another “abandoware” app as the database hasn’t been update since 2021. Shame since it’s a great offline/local tool for ‘avioneers’.
The FAA, USCAR is in constant update (online). I’d settle for bi-yearly DB update here!
Shame🙁
