There’s a lot of duplicate information and functionality with unintuitive interaction and feedback. And text/interface element sizing is quite random. Unfortunately the documentation doesn’t reflect the current state of the app and there’s no way to figure out the functionality of some buttons and interactions. It’s also somewhat buggy in the way interface elements scale/reset and are partially obstructed, or the note editor triggers false positive input actions (extending notes to the right selects previous notes and moves instead, or deselecting notes sometimes triggers inserting a new note etc). I could see myself really liking this app for its function-completeness alone, but it‘s not there yet in terms of UI/UX. ### 2/5 — The game is probably good, but I cannot play it *2026-07-31, version 10.5.179* I can make a beat, but can’t hear it. Hehe.. 2 stars.. ### 3/5 — Listen *2026-07-01, version 10.5.147* I gave it 3 because it is hard to work with and you have to have you mic on so when you do the drums I can hear my tv in the background also when I have jbl headphones and I can’t hear anything ### 2/5 — FIX YOUR APP!! *2026-06-13* There is a glitch in n-track studio with the drum sampler, when a sample is finished playing, it replays the ENTIRE sample slightly quieter, regardless of the selected section. I’ve looked through just about every setting in the editor and i can’t find the source of the glitch. I think it’s the name but I’m not sure, it’s messing up my song and I’m can’t find the issue. Fixing this would be greatly appreciated. **Developer response:** From what you’ve described, it’s most likely a combination of two factors: the loop button set to "Loop until release" mode and a long release time. You can change the loop type by following these steps in the manual https://ntrack.com/help/manual.html?platform=ios#loop-modes The release time can be adjusted on the page following the samples one, using the graph, or in the "envelope" page. ### 2/5 — Was Amazing *2026-05-31, version 10.5.119* I’ve used and loved this app for years but the recent changes have made this app hardly usable. The layout used to be intuitive and direct - now it is’bt. The focus on making a song with loops and autogenerating song structure has gotten in the way of us who make songs by recording and building songs front to back. God knows I loved the old Ntrack and I miss it. I hope so hard that we can atleast have the option to switch to the old layout in settings. Please - atleast give us that option. Thanks. ### 3/5 — It’s okay but I have a ton of issues with it *2026-05-03* Okay so I was trying to find softwares to make glitchcore on and this came up and this is what I have to say abt it IF you somehow figured how to make that on here then good for you but if you haven’t THIS APP DOES NOT WORK also it dosen’t help that it IS CONSTANTLY TRYING TO GET ME ONTO PRO it’s like I can’t use it for half a minute without them advertising pro to me and it’s really annoying so those are my main issues PLEASE add a glitchcore section or at least deal with the pro advertisement 3/5 stars ### 2/5 — The interface is awful *2026-04-26, version 10.5.81* Just getting to automation for reverb or volume etc. is like solving a video game mystery. I don’t need or want this level of frustration. The app is just too difficult to use. Also removing the metronome from the hotbar in the vertical UI is really inefficient, I would have to rotate my screen in order to use some of the features which is mildly annoying. Also this didn’t happen before but now when I try to import an mp3 file, it would say that the file type wasn’t supported even though it worked fine before. Most alternatives I found were either expensive or extremely limited, so this is a fantastic option. Even without any subscription or paid features, it’s enjoyable and functional. It can be a bit finicky at times on iPhone, but that doesn’t take away from how good it is overall. I would love to see a more detailed tutorial that dives into each feature, as that would make it even more user-friendly. One thing that has been frustrating is the two buttons at the top of the piano roll—I couldn’t find any guidance on them in tutorials or official documentation. Other than that, the app is excellent. Keep up the great work! I’m excited to see it continue to improve and evolve. Edit: Please add a way to save settings either as defaults or just to keep them the same as the last time you used them. I find it extremely annoying to have to change my input every single time I use this app because it use Bluetooth headphones. You should also add on the in app purchases are that there is a permanent max upgrade and it’s not just a subscription.
