You can see frequencies of harmonics. Works great, easy to use. I bought the pro version. It is well worth it. ### 4/5 — About the re-design *2016-04-22* I cannot express how grateful I am for the development team of this app. For a couple of years, it has been my favorite tool for anything to do with music (even used it to demonstrate certain physical concepts and properties). It's great to know that, even though this app is years old, it is still being supported and worked on! Unfortunately, I must say that, not only me, but also many of my friends to who I have recommended this app in the past found the new design choices unpleasing. It's way to cartoony, resembling a toy. The meters, showing volume and pitch are now not in bars, but in circular sections, which not only makes it more unnaccurate, but also looks ugly. We do, however, appreciate the new graph. The difficulty I experience is that there seems to be a lag time between the time I tune and the time it registers on the screen. This makes it difficult to know when I’ve actually tuned it properly and frequently I have to retune because the pitch is now too sharp. Also it could “listen” to the pitch a little longer. **Developer response:** You can try changing the Tuner Sensibility settings from the main settings menu and moving the microphone closer to the instrument. Love the visualizations of audio - really helps me understand the harmonica of my instrument - often voice! Just a shame that with an iPhone X it doesn’t work properly as so many user interface elements are impacted by the notch at the top of the screen. Hope that can be fixed soon! I spent a long time looking for the perfect tuner and am happy with this one. Request: Please make the app remember the view that was chosen the last time the app was used. Or provide an option to select a default view. ### 5/5 — Essential FFT *2021-01-31* Not so much as a tuner, (which is fine), but for the excellent FFT! This is the best FFT for general use on iOS. I teach acoustics and I use this FFT for live demonstrations of the analysis of sound. The FFT graph is smooth and easy to use. “Seeing” noise, or the harmonic series of instruments is great regardless if you’re using an iPhone or an iPad Pro. Due to the high resolution of the iPad Pro display, screen captures as videos are high resolution too.
