I remember it used to offer an NA icon for a person to select the area they’re interested in but now it doesn’t offer anything. ### 2/5 — Very Disappointed!. *2025-11-08, version 12.6* It’s basically just a shortcut to the website. Was expecting an app similar to the AA Meeting Finder but most of the features just send you to the NA website, which doesn’t work very well to find a meeting… if at all, sometimes. It’s useful if you know of no other resources but I would not recommend this app or the website if you’re looking for an in person meeting. ### 2/5 — Just links to website, only useful for JFT/SPAD *2024-12-30, version 12.3* I was hoping this would be helpful for quickly checking meeting schedules, but it just sends you to the NA website, where you have to jump through multiple hoops to find meetings near you, since it's the global NA website, not your local state/region's. I will admit, it is cool that it gives easy access to the JFT and SPAD readings, but so does my state's NA website, which also gives me an easy and intuitive way to find meetings in my area that contains more information about each meeting than what I could find on the global NA.org website, and shows local NA events near me, which the global NA.org website does not. I simply made a bookmark/shortcut for my state's NA website link and made my own "app," and I suggest everyone else do the same, it's a pretty simple process and you'll be glad you did :) I don't remember off the top of my head how to make a Safari shortcut for your home screen, and I don't know how it works at all if your default browser is Chrome or anything other than Safari, but Google will explain it better than I could anyway, lol. If the app is updated to where meetings can be found in the app without bringing you to an external website, I may redownload it, but for now, it is not very convenient or user-friendly. If I'm going to have to be redirected to an external site anyway, I might as well make a shortcut icon for my home screen that links directly to my state's NA website, as it lets me find the information I need more quickly, and gives me more information, period. Sadly, this app is a good example of "brilliant concept, but terrible execution." I say this not to be harsh, but because I think the idea of an official NA app is fantastic but this one needs improvement in order to be useful for more than just the daily readings, IMHO. Again, if the app is updated to give convenient meeting information within the app itself, I will likely redownload it and change my review, as I think the concept is great and the easy access to the daily JFT/SPAD readings is a pretty cool feature :) ### 2/5 — Why? *2024-09-06, version 12.2* The new update ruined this app. ### 2/5 — The update ruined what used to be a great resource! *2024-05-12, version 12* This app was my favorite and a staple in my recovery for YEARS! The version 12 update that stopped listing meetings ruined this app and made it unrecognizable from the resource I knew and loved. Why did it change to something that doesn’t seem to work? Doesn’t make any sense….. ### 1/5 — THE UPDATE IS AWFUL *2024-03-19, version 12* Whoever updated this to direct you to a website needs to be fired. It directs me to one website, makes me type in my zip code, then when I click the Dallas area it directs me to another website but not even to the meeting part of the website. So I have to hit the drop-down button and hit meetings. Everything was literally fine before just a few times needed to be updated. Hope y’all change it back, your making it harder for a newcomer to find a meeting. ### 1/5 — Terrible update *2024-03-18, version 12* The meeting finder used to be great. You could find a meeting based on location with list or map view. That no longer works after the update now it takes you to the worthless NA website and you have to put in a zip code and it still doesn’t help. CHANGE IT BACK. Revamping the maps to find a local meeting was a bad idea. The built-in map to find a meeting is no longer available, relying on external website links to find local meeting times and dates. I’m barely disappointed, I have wanted to go to meetings for the last couple weeks and have not been able to rely on this app for any of that. I don’t know of any other apps that do what this app used to do. Sad. ### 1/5 — Last update *2024-03-11, version 12* Latest update is absolutely horrible. The in person meeting finder shows three meetings in all of Dallas area. I know there are 100+ meetings in the DFW area. This is not helping the still suffering addict or the newcomer. I use this app a lot too try to find meetings for the newcomer or my sponsees and even myself when I’m out of town because I travel for my work. Could we please go back to the old format please. Someone’s life may depend on finding a nearby meeting. ### 2/5 — New update *2024-03-09, version 12* This new update to the NA app is awful, he used to be able to find a meeting by just tapping on the app. Now you have to do so many things just to find a meeting that might still be on. This app makes it so difficult to find any meetings in this area to the point where I probably won’t use this app anymore. There is nothing easy about it it’s like someone didn’t care to take their time to organize the app the right way this time you have to search through three different webpages and enter so much information every time you use the app and then it also doesn’t tell you if the meeting is zoom or in person. For people that are supposed to be helping people with addiction. This thing is horrible. I open it and it has my clean time and that makes my day, every single day! And I read the JFT, SPAD, and can find a meeting - either in person or on Zoom - very easily. I’ve been using this app for years and have never had issues with it. I also love that I can “select all” of the text and click “speak” and it’ll be read to me.
