### 4/5 — Creativity & brilliance at it’s finest 😊🙏👍

*2026-02-02, version 10.1.15*

I’ve been super excited by the possibilities ever since I discovered NaadSadhana. I happened to watch a video where Sandeep Ranade introduces the app and its features. It showed up as a YouTube recommendation and I was instantly intrigued. Once I tried it, I couldn’t be happier. This is exactly what I had been looking for! I primarily use the app as sruthi backing for my whistling. So far, I’ve been using the tanpura and swaramandal extensively. I’m still exploring the percussion instruments. I also use the notes training as often as I can. With whistling, it is very easy to go sharper or flatter than intended, so no amount of practice ever feels excessive. The ear training is extremely helpful and reinforces swara recognition really well for students both old and new. The recording & mixing feature is excellent, the flexibility it offers is impressive. You can custom mix tracks and export clean, raw audio files to use outside the app & this opens up a whole new world of possibilities for creators I am sure. The engineering brilliance & creative intelligence powering the app is remarkable. GeekGayak is probably the absolute best way to describe it :) Kudos to that geekiness.
The raaga and taal library in the app is extensive. Based on the style of music you choose, the app also automatically adapts the available instruments, which is a great touch. I do wonder if there might be room for some user-level customization in a future release.
I may have missed mentioning a few things (I probably did), but if you’re a music enthusiast at any level, you should definitely give this app a try.

### 4/5 — Remarks

*2025-09-12, version 10.1.2*

It’s awefully sad that inspite of my repeated efforts I am not being able to renew my subscription. Today being the last day is it then a trick to pull attention in the name of reduction offer ?

The tuning accuracy mode is making a histogram occupying the whole screen and making it badly difficult for operating main buttons.

Many ragas are not included in swaramandal, it’s quite natural too , better if it can be made customisable for regular singers. There are wrong sub notes too which makes to play the swaramandal difficult sometimes

Thanks
And expecting a quick response

### 5/5 — As a Singer, This App is a Game-Changer! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

*2025-09-11*

I’ve used many tools for Riyaz over the years, but this app truly stands out. It’s amazing, effective, and incredibly useful for daily Riyaz. The AI-based features are spot-on — it feels like having a smart, responsive music coach by your side.

The sound quality is top-notch, and the features are designed with real musicians in mind. I even used it during a live concert, and the response was phenomenal — the audience loved it too!

What makes this app even more special is that Sandeep Ranade ji is not just an engineer, but also a great classical singer. He has deep knowledge and expertise in both music and technology, which clearly reflects in the app’s design. He truly understands the real needs of musicians, and it shows in every detail.

I’ve genuinely never seen an app like this before. A huge thank you to Sandeepji for creating such a powerful tool for singers. It has become an essential part of my practice and performance routine. Highly recommended!!

**Developer response:** Wow! Thank you so much!
You just made my month!! 🤗

### 5/5 — Absolute marvel

*2025-09-10*

This app takes singing abhyaas to the next level with intelligent instrumental support and rich instrument sounds. Constantly improving execution makes it totally worth it. I switched from iTabla Pro and been 5 years, and I have not gone back.

The only issue with the recent update is that now if the ipad is not locked, the sound gets very patchy. It makes switching to a different taal, or even making small changes like adding an instrument while singing very difficult.

**Developer response:** Thank you 🙏
Try version 10.1.2 - you can email me from the app and we can address any remaining issues much faster.

### 5/5 — Outstanding App

*2025-09-09*

NAADSADHANA is simply amazing! The high-fidelity sound makes me love the way I sound, and the tabla is the best I’ve used — it feels so real and responds to my singing like a live performance. The swarmandal, rich raga library, and easy mixing tools make practice effortless. On top of that, I can create karaoke tracks, make videos, and get studio-quality output without any extra gear. It’s a one-stop shop for all my musical needs — intuitive, inspiring, and a joy to use! Hats off to Sandeep Ranade for creating this.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much 😊

### 5/5 — Version 10.1.1

*2025-09-09, version 10.1.1*

Love the new UI! Seamless and intuitive✨

### 5/5 — Fantastic app for music lovers

*2025-09-01, version 10.1.0*

I never knew I would enjoy this app so much. It is so much fun to experiment with the orchestra , n try different instruments. I love music, but never thought that I would be able to sing with Taal on my own. This app has made everything possible for me. All music lovers must try this app. Thanks a Ton to the developer 🙏🙏

### 3/5 — Great app!

*2025-08-08, version 10.0.9*

Loving this app for my daily Riyaz!
I only have one suggestion:
The keyboard sound could be a little bit softer, it sounds quite sharp currently. I already tried adjusting the tone but that didn’t do much.
Would love to be able to change the sound to something more pleasing.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal app - must have

*2025-08-01*

I absolutely love this app! It is completely packed full of features - I have barely scratched the surface and still blown away by what it can do. Developed by a classically trained singer with great tech credentials too, it feels like he knows exactly what singers need and provides them with the tools to be able to practise and perform the music they love. He is also very receptive to feedback and this means that the app is being improved continually. Hats off for creating such an amazing tool. Highly recommend

**Developer response:** Thank you 🤩

### 5/5 — Best app for students and performers!

*2025-06-05*

I have been using this for over two years now. Here is how I find it Uber useful

1. In ear monitor- helps you train voice for studio setting and stage mic. When you are sick helps you not over use voice and sing with less pressure. Hearing yourself means more accurate notes.
2. Perfect for self learners- Adjustable pitch on all instruments. When learning a piece of music recorded in C+45 cents- there is no harmonium that can support playing a recording and being able to grasp the notes. I find it extremely useful to be able to pick up pieces in a raag that may be recorded in a not perfect C.
Even taal many times it gives you ideas on what we can be doing if you listen carefully.
3. The app helps create an amazing ambience for a raag and helps you really immerse in it. This is helpful when switching from one to another.
4. Sandeepji is super open to feedback and very approachable to report any issues too.

What else can one ask for?

**Developer response:** Thank you so much 😊🫶🤗

### 5/5 — Western dadra

*2025-05-10, version 10.0.7*

Can you add western dadra?

### 5/5 — Amazing app for classical music singers/players

*2025-05-08, version 10.0.6*

This is such an amazing app, and keeps improving even more. Whether you want to practice and perfect your music or want a live accompaniment, this is the very best. Has the feel of live musicians accompanying you. I use it multiple times a week. Cannot recommend it enough.

### 5/5 — 1 of 1

*2025-04-05*

This app is amazing in every aspect. It gives you utter confidence. Make you feel like you’re performing. Hats off to the creaters.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much ❣️

### 5/5 — Wonderful app and reachable dev

*2025-03-19, version 10.0.4*

I’ve been using this app for a few years now I have learnt a lot through it. The attention to detail by a solo dev is really commendable. Sandeep is also very easy to reach and communicative. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — A Game-Changer for Traditional Indian Musicians!

*2025-03-18*

NaadSadhana is an absolute gem for anyone passionate about Indian classical music.

NaadSadhana has made my practice sessions more immersive and enjoyable. This app not only listens and responds in real time but also enhances my riyaaz with precise feedback.

The AI-powered accompaniment is remarkably intelligent, adapting to my singing seamlessly. Whether I’m practicing a slow alap or a fast-paced taan, the app follows effortlessly. The tabla, tanpura, and other instruments sound incredibly authentic, making it feel like I’m performing with a live ensemble.

The UI is clean, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed. It’s clear that a lot of love and expertise have gone into making this app.

Highly recommended for students, performers, and even casual enthusiasts of Indian music!

**Developer response:** 😇🙏 many thanks for that. You made my day!!

### 5/5 — An essential app

*2025-03-17*

Thank you for creating such a nice app. A big feat for Indian classical music students and performers, especially like some of us who are not living in India and find it extremely hard to find right accompaniment.

**Developer response:** I’m so glad you are enjoying the app and it’s artistic intelligence! 🥳😇🫶

### 5/5 — Best for Indian music

*2025-02-15, version 10.0.0*

I love this app for my performances, Riyaaz as well as to create social content. The AI is amazing and unlike other apps that make the music monotonous, Naadsadhan create a vibrant music full of variations as per the vocals. This is an app that I love to pay subscription for.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Instruments Not Pleasing to The Ears

*2025-11-06, version 10.1.8*

The instruments of iTablaPro sound a lot more natural and sweeter than NaadSadhana. For instance, the swar mandal sounds like a santoor rather than a harp. Indian Classical music must be performed with a calm mind, and that includes the instruments. Make sure to improve the sounds of the instruments, and remove the unnecessary instruments like the drumkit, shaker, claps, snaps, etc.

### 1/5 — Instruments Not Pleasing to The Ears

*2025-09-01, version 10.1.0*

### 1/5 — Constant changes to interface.

*2025-09-01, version 10.1.0*

Latest update stutters like hell. Tried on decent iPads and different speakers, it still stutters. Also Sir, pls don’t change the interface. It’s a real hassle getting used to new interface every now and then. I can not explain how frustrating that is.

### 1/5 — Too much expensive

*2023-08-31, version 8.10*

iTabla pro is much better & convenient option than this one. Overuse of technology is not good for art like hindustani classical music.

### 1/5 — Want to discontinue subscription

*2022-06-23, version 8.5*

Want to discontinue subscription

### 2/5 — Mic feature not working

*2025-01-07, version 9.0.27*

With the latest update even though mic is enabled, it is not picking up any sound. Please fix it asap.

### 2/5 — New UI Issue and Too Expensive Subscription

*2023-10-24, version 9.0.3*

This does not look like an app at all. Instead, it is a huge laborinth that I have to navigate thanks to the new UI. I cannot adjust the volume or mute any of the instruments that I do not want to hear. When I install this app on my new ID, I have to pay for the pro subscription. Is it possible for me to make music forever without having to pay?

### 2/5 — Not Reliable

*2022-12-12*

Besides the accompaniment variations, there’s so much maturing that needs to happen with this before it can be deemed as a professionally accredited tool. The main 2 things that I have a problem with, firstly the highly advertised chromatic tuner/‘pitcher corrector’ aspect of this app. It fails to grasp the voice & correct the pitch. I have tried with AirPods Pro & professional mic hook up. Until I don’t yell into it, it won’t pick up the voice. I’ve tried to see all setting but still futile. If you simply don’t say anything & let the tanpura play, it will catch random notes. I have stopped recommending this as teaching tool. I will say it has a lot potential once it’s matured. secondly, i don’t know why it fails to connect with car play. So many people complained to me about it as well. Not everyone who uses this job stays at home & does Sangeet. Everytime I’m in my car I have to stop Naad Sadhana & then change to iTabla. This is very annoying to me especially since iTabla doesn’t charge every month/year.

**Developer response:** This is certainly unusual - please email me through the app’s help tab and we’ll sort it out. I’d like to know your ios version, device, and some other details to diagnose the issue.
Also, using wired earphones is recommended for high precision tuning, but with Bluetooth headsets, the iPhone or iPad mic is used, so, keeping the device nearby is recommended.

If you are willing to try out a beta build, we can get to the bottom of these problems and sort them out to your satisfaction.

### 2/5 — How to get into garage band?

*2022-05-20, version 7.3.0*

Garage band doesn’t seem to recognize the file how do I do this? >………. This is pretty much a subscription breaker not being able to record over in garage band………… More stars if this is solved… Maybe even five… And is it true you have a beggars cheap version for people with American food stamp cards? The person laughed when they told me that maybe they were just putting me on…

### 2/5 — Tabla is jittery

*2019-11-09, version 3.6*

Hi Naadsadhna Team,

I tried mailing you but the emails gave undelivered error so now writing here.

I opted for a month long trial of Naadsadhna and today played my Bansuri along with it. . The tabla and Manjiri started getting jittery after some time. I played it again after restarting, and again after restarting my iPad, but this kept happening . My iPad was connected over the Bluetooth and was kept only 3meters away. There was no issue because of Bluetooth connection as all the Other similar applications, including your Tanpura, were working perfectly. I tried teentaal and then Bhajani, both started into the jitter or unrhytmic vibrations after few minutes of playtime.

PLEASE fix this on an urgent basis as I am keen to continue after my free trail is over.

Also please add Keherwa taal whenever possible .

Looking forward to the requested improvement.

Regards,
Varun Swarup

### 5/5 — Amazing Execution of Detail

*2026-07-31*

I have been using this app for sometime and have been really enjoying it. What made me to come and actually write this is : I recently noticed that the Swayambhu Gandhar(the concept I came to know about after speaking to the creator -Sandeep) in the Built in Tanpura. It is really fascinating how this feature is achieved and it tells how much genuine effort has been put in making this great app.

**Developer response:** So glad you are enjoying my app! 🙏❤️🫶

### 5/5 — Five Stars. Our family and friends jam session partner.

*2026-05-25*

We are a mixed household with an even more diverse group of friends. Some trained musicians and some here for the pure joy of singing. Together we sing Bollywood, English pop, Punjabi, Ghazal and kirtan. Naadsadhna is one app that holds it together beautifully.

The percussion range of Tabla, Cajon and Drums makes the feel like live orchestra which goes with every kind of song plus there are beats/taal in every raag possible. I have lost the count of how many fun evenings we have had with this app.

And then there is Sandeep, I wrote him an email with suggestions expecting nothing. He wrote back a few minutes later explaining his thinking around product development and we had such a meaningful conversation. This kind of warmth between creator and users is so rare today.

If your family, friends or you love music in any form I would highly recommend Naadsadhna.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this wonderful review! It means the world to me to know my work made a positive impact. ❤️🙏😇

### 5/5 — NaadSadhana - distilling the magic of music!

*2026-04-03*

Using NaadSadhana has been nothing short of a joy. The way it picks up on the energy building in compositions and seamlessly accompanies me makes me feel exactly like I’m on stage with pros! It’s just as deft at accompanying subtly and letting the vocals shine through as well. It is not very often that we get to perform with a 27-instrument orchestra (for most musicians, it’s an experience never to be had)

Recordings are incredibly easy too, it takes away my need to denoise, mix and remaster separately, and does it all at one go!

The practice section and tuner has been incredibly easy to recommend to new learners. Personally, it helps me to ensure I’m hitting the right swarasthanas, especially when I have ear blockages/am trying tune my tanpura.

From a convenience standpoint, it has been so easy to sing at remote locations and temples thanks to NaadSadhana’s on-device nature!

As a skeptic of AI, it’s refreshing to see an app like NaadSadhana that exists to empower artists and hobbyists and doesn’t rely on stolen IP, and have immense respect for the ethical standards that have been strictly maintained.

NaadSadhana has been one of the focal things that has helped me regain and rediscover the wonder I once held for music. Thank you for distilling the magic of music into an app.

**Developer response:** Wow!! 🤩 Thank you!
You truly made my day!!
I’m so happy you are enjoying Naadsadhana!

### 5/5 — A rare blend of musical depth and thoughtful technology

*2026-02-18*

NaadSadhana is a beautifully designed companion for sincere Indian classical music practice. Coming back to music after a long gap, this app has made daily sadhana structured, engaging, and meaningful.

What truly stands out is the mind behind it! Sandeep Ranade is a rare geek + gayak, and that balance reflects throughout the app. There’s deep musical sensitivity, technical clarity, and genuine respect for the nuance and richness of ragas.

For learners who may not always have access to the right Guru, NaadSadhana becomes an invaluable support. Subtle, intelligent, and musically honest. Highly recommended!

**Developer response:** You made my day! Wow - thank you so much! 🤩🙏❤️

### 5/5 — Stellar App

*2026-01-16*

As someone who has barely scratched the surface of what app can do, a few things are nevertheless strikingly apparent:

1
An immense amount of care, thought, and love are being channeled into this app’s ongoing development by a creator with immense knowledge, true artistic sense, and tremendous devotion to the ideal of accompaniment rivaling that of accomplished musicians, available anytime for one’s musical growth. To them: Thank you.

2
The sounds used, interface, range of harmonic and rhythmic options, and depth of Raag availability are clear, clear, and the latter provide for so much digging deep into creative possibilities I can wholeheartedly vouchsafe this app is worth every cent –and I’m not just talking about measurement of musical frequency here 😊

3
If you’re looking for cutting edge accompaniment for musical improvisation over a drone this app delivers in spades. Even those marginally familiar with the ins and outs of Indian classical will find so so much for their growth here. I am amazed and sense a musical renaissance through a new generation of musicians with access to such refined accompaniment twenty-four-seven from a young age... technology like this is part of the future, and make no mistake: NaadSadhana is an outstanding pioneer technology in the service of our creativity... bringing the broadest improvisational tradition the wings of individual freedom and carrying it thereby through our times to the future.

Hats off to the creator of NaadSadhana–
Your labor’s well appreciated and the love behind it’s shining 🙏

**Developer response:** Thank you for your beautiful words and wonderful review of the app!! Your words made my day 🥰
May the naad be with you !!

### 5/5 — Next gen app for Hindustani classical music

*2026-01-02, version 10.1.12*

This app sounds just great. Along with that, truly amazing accompaniment features make this the best app in its category today. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Never have had an experience like this before..

*2025-11-18*

I am a fan of Indian classical and devotional music and, while i am by no stretch of imagination an expert in this field, i like to try my amateur hand at singing. Before this i had no way to have much accompaniment beyond harmonium, that too if there is something nearby. I love tanpura, cymbals, tabla, dhol etc and this app’s mechanics adapt to my singing providing a complete and comprehensive accompaniment with all traditional instruments. I really don’t know how it does it, much less knew it was even possible, but why bother about preparing the cake when you can get to eat it? Based on the elaborate and elegant feature set, the subscription too is very reasonably priced. I love this app and have no hesitation in giving 5 stars. Thank you so much.

**Developer response:** Wow! 🤩 You made my day, thank you so much.

### 5/5 — A breakthrough in digital music creation

*2025-11-05*

NaadSadhana is more than an app, it’s a true musical companion. The Live Orchestra feature responds so naturally, it feels like performing with trained accompanists. Each instrument sounds crisp and beautifully balanced, delivering studio-level quality right on the phone.
As a singer & composer, I find it both inspiring and technically outstanding — a genuine contribution to modern Indian music.
Heartfelt appreciation to Shri Sandeep Ranade ji for creating such an extraordinary platform for musicians. 🙏

— Dhruv Upmanyu

**Developer response:** Wow, thank you so much. 🙏🤗

### 5/5 — It keeps getting better and better

*2025-09-13*

I have been using NaadSadhana for last few years. Just downloaded the latest version. I can’t believe how much better this new version is. Not that I had any problems with the old version but this new version has amazingly better sounding Tanpura’s. it also has two tablas which improves in unimaginable way. It’s almost like you don’t miss tabla player in your practice. NaadSadhana also has several more instruments this time and playing lighter music with them is really enjoyable. Additionally, with new Dhrupad rhythms, like Chautaal and Dhamaar, one doesn’t even miss a Pakhawaj accompaniment anymore. Finally a slew of recording features have improved so much. One can achieve so much with the normal earphone Mike, as long as it is physically connected to the phone.

Congratulations to the developer. continue to look forward to more features.

**Developer response:** What a wonderful summary of my work. Thank you, it really made all the hard work worthwhile. I really appreciate you taking the times to write such a heartfelt and succinct review!
