## What is NAAS?

The National Association of Academies of Science (NAAS) supports state and regional science academies and the American Junior Academy of Science. Their mission is to enhance science leadership, literacy, and education through partnerships, professional development, and advocacy. NAAS offers networking opportunities, promotes collaboration, and engages in capacity building  to advance science & technology policy and STEM leadership in states. They also focus on nurturing young scientists, connecting them with mentors, and providing platforms for shared best practices and policy engagement.
