### 1/5 — Worse than worthless- a time wasting source of frustration

*2019-04-24, version 1.2.3*

In a fair and just world manufacturers would offer software that functions with their devices. In this case if NAD paid someone to develop this software then NAD got taken advantage of. The major issues are the constant appearance of error messages that the device can not connect to a network. Occasionally a connection can be established and then it is unstable and is lost. The hit and miss cycle of attempting to connect begins a new and suddenly 30 minutes has come and gone without a connection.

We run Verizon Fios at high speed and have no trouble connecting any other devices nor with stability. The NAD D7050 works well on an Ethernet connection. The only time there are any problems is when using this software. Life is too valuable to waste time on non functional poorly written buggy software released without proper testing or quality control. From my perspective this software indicates a lack of respect for the customer.

### 1/5 — Was working, then stopped

*2018-12-02, version 1.2.3*

I have the app installed on an iPhone 6 and a nexus tablet. It was working perfectly on my tablet, then the next day the tablet could not find my c388, but the iPhone still can. I know it’s not a Bluetooth issue with the tablet because I can still play music through the amp using the tablet. I can no longer control my c388 with tablet, very disappointing. I emailed their support, so hopefully they can help.

### 1/5 — Does not see my device

*2018-11-13, version 1.2.3*

Does not recognize my device (50.2 streamer). Documentation to troubleshoot vague at best. BluOS app recognizes and controls the device so I guess I will use that. Disappointing that gear this pricey cannot work with their own software.

### 1/5 — Very poor connectivity

*2018-10-14, version 1.2.3*

Airplay doesn’t work with this upgrade neither does Spotify. Company makes upgrades not backwards compatible and documentation is scarce. What is the use if quality hardware is software is poor. I have to hardware directly to laptop to make system work. This is system was meant to wireless

### 1/5 — Does not re-connect

*2018-04-09, version 1.2.3*

Cannot discover D7050 again after being disconnected, unless unplugging power from D7050. Unusable for me.

### 1/5 — Will Not Connect

*2018-02-26, version 1.2.3*

I have three -87 home theater devices... approx 9k invested.
The old app worked fine. This version will not work.
I have an expensive house call going on right now and they have no idea. Updated firmware, checked network connectivity, no luck
App doesn’t work
But a Denon or Marantz

### 1/5 — Such a joke!!!

*2018-01-15, version 1.2.3*

This app does not function at all!! Seriously NAD and Apple, take this garbage down until it functions as described!!!!!

### 1/5 — Won’t discover d7050 so unusable

*2017-10-05, version 1.2.0*

Old app worked but this new improve one does not :-(

Very expensive device for this to not work. Crazy ridiculous!

### 1/5 — Not good

*2017-09-25, version 1.2.0*

Had been using the old app for my D7050 for a while, since upgrading to IOS11 the app stopped working. This app is supposed to be the new app and compatible with my amp but unfortunately it will not discover it.
So it is unusable.

### 1/5 — Diabolical

*2017-09-19, version 1.2.0*

This amp sounds fantastic, but the usability of the app, the digital interface and the remote control is staggeringly bad. I'm genuinely considering returning the product not because of the sound but because of the hours i've wasted today trying to connect it to Bluetooth. Evidently a 'firmware update' is required one week after I purchased it. Will be interesting to learn what additional functionalities are offered post upgrade. Guess I'll find out after I've purchased a USB stick. Atrocious quality for a $900 amp.

### 1/5 — App will not connect

*2017-06-24, version 1.2.0*

Wanted to use this with D7050 after getting new iPad. The app is never able to discover the device. Tried connecting via USB cable, but that didn't help. I had similar problems few years back when I tried to connect with older iPad, but somehow was able to make it work with the older app. I was looking at some new hardware NAD now has to potentially upgrade, but I no longer have much confidence in NAD. I am not alone having these problems.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t stay connected.

*2024-01-28*

It’s probably time to remove this app from the App Store. It connects to my NAD C 368, but needs to reconnect after every interaction. Slow volume control could easily damage speakers or ears. If you move the slider it takes seconds to reflect and then you might discover you’ve too loud.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-01-20, version 1.2.3*

Has anyone got this thing to work even once? I can’t believe any company would put this app in public.

### 1/5 — Volume control next to impossible

*2022-02-01, version 1.2.3*

Using with C368. Volume control is awfully poor. It lags for seconds and very frequently attempting to adjust volume drops the connection. It’s been several years since the release of this amp, which by the way is still in production and in high demand, yet still no fix to the remote app issues. Fix the darned thing already!

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2020-10-16, version 1.2.3*

Does not work PERIOD!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-05-16, version 1.2.3*

Simply doesn’t work. Period. Full stop.

### 1/5 — Who knows?

*2020-04-14, version 1.2.3*

The app will not discover my brand new D3045 amp.

### 1/5 — So bad...damaging the brand known for great hardware quality

*2020-04-10, version 1.2.3*

Releasing this just to have iOS support is stupid. This is a horrible app that should not exist.

### 1/5 — Why can’t this app discover my brand new C328 amp?

*2019-11-06, version 1.2.3*

Why can’t this app discover my brand new C328 amp?

### 1/5 — Awful

*2019-08-25, version 1.2.3*

Flaky, slow, every time I open it it blasts the volume up to 100%, it’s one of the worst apps I've ever seen. A disgrace to offer this garbage to a customer who purchases a 2000 dollar amp. Embarrassing.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your memory

*2019-06-20, version 1.2.3*

The app doesn’t work at all though I love the t758 amp. Wrote customer support and got non-responsive answer. Wrote second time and got no answer.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works well

*2018-01-22, version 1.2.3*

This app is a lot easier to use than the remote control. I had no trouble with pairing. I did nothing at all and it paired automatically. My only complaint is that I wish I could change the volume display to show % instead of dB.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2017-05-05, version 1.2.0*

Nice app for my NAD C388. Simple, clean interface. Works really well. My only complaint is that I would like the change the volume display to read in % rather than db like the amp.

### 3/5 — Add bass and treble software control to app for C-338

*2019-04-09, version 1.2.3*

Sure would be nice to have bass and treble controls for my C-338

### 3/5 — Almost there

*2017-05-23, version 1.2.0*

I'm using this with a D 7050. For some reason the app won't open unless Bluetooth is enabled on my iPhone. In my case the app connects to the amp through the network so why require Bluetooth be enabled on the phone to even open the app? Also, the previous app allowed each amp to be named (e.g. bedroom, living room, etc.) under the discover device tab. This app doesn't seem to allow that. Fix these two issues and it's 5 stars.

### 2/5 — No updates in 5+ years

*2023-05-27*

I don’t use this app much. Most of the time I’m using tidal connect but when using the turntable I prefer to use the app over a dedicated remote. Unfortunately it no longer holds a connection under iOS 16.6. It would be nice if they fixed that and enabled software updates over Wi-Fi instead of the very outdated method of preparing a thumb drive on your computer. I will certainly look at other brands app reviews when I replace this amp.

### 2/5 — Fairly poor

*2021-03-13, version 1.2.3*

Overall, remote function doesn’t work very well. Its glitchy and extremely slow. It does not stay connected. Essentially need to reconnect nearly every time I want to adjust anything. When turning on, it will randomly be set to 100% volume. Pretty poor overall...

### 2/5 — Needs to support screen rotation

*2020-08-05, version 1.2.3*

At present, the app only uses the screen in portrait mode.

Connectivity with Bluetooth is often lost. Seems like the app has to reestablish the connection every time one switches to it, causing a moment when controls aren't active.

I like the NAD integrated amp quite a bit, but I wish they would show this app a little love...

### 2/5 — A few suggestions

*2019-05-23, version 1.2.3*

1) need ability to rename and hide sources. With eight available inputs, I really only use maybe three or four. So it would be nice to hide unused sources. And if I have a turntable in optical 1 and chromecast audio in optical 2 and a computer in the USB port and an iPhone connecting through airplay, etc., would like to custom-name the inputs.

2) solve buggy connection issues. More often than not I’ll get the “only one connection at a time” error when I know I’m the only device connected.

3) improve the volume control. Slider is difficult to control on a phone screen. Allow for some kind of incremental 1db volume adjustments.

### 2/5 — Just "ok"…when it works.

*2017-06-29, version 1.2.0*

Continually loses pair w/ my C368. After it's been disconnected from the amp for more than a few hours, the amp needs to be power cycled with the rear panel switch to hard reset the Bluetooth. Rather disappointing from a high end (and rather pricey) product. Also the volume control is clunky and difficult to use because it only works via an on-screen slider button. Just tie it in to the volume buttons on the side of the device! (like every other app does)

The remote app was a major selling point for me when I bought the amp. Since it doesn't work very well I'm considering going with something else.
