## What is NAGARE?

NAGARE is a Japanese word for flow, and it describes what happens on the screen: a grid of tiles, each carrying one piece of a line, with a single task ahead of it — connect every line into a closed loop, with no end left open.

Tapping a tile turns it ninety degrees. That is the whole rule. When a loop closes, it lights up in gold leaf and a single note from a pentatonic scale sounds. Once the whole board is closed, every note you heard along the way plays back as a short melody — each level quietly composes its own music as you solve it.

There is no timer and no way to lose. A puzzle waits for as long as you need, and stays open until it is solved. That is not a side effect — it is the whole point. NAGARE is built to unwind you, not to test you against a clock.

The boards are generated, not hand made, and there is no end to them. Level one is a two tile introduction to the rule. From there the grid grows slowly, tile by tile, until it reaches large boards with junctions and crossings to plan around. Every level has a fixed number, and that number always builds the same board, on any device.

Once a day, a grove of its own opens: one fixed puzzle, identical for everyone on earth, that turns over at midnight UTC. Solve it daily and a streak builds behind you.

Solved levels earn coins. They unlock looks, never advantages: five colour palettes, from Sumi's ink black and gold leaf to Aizome's indigo, Beni's red, Matcha's green and Suishō's crystal white, three instrument tones for the melody, and four line styles for the tiles themselves. Every one of them can be reached by playing alone.

The look stays quiet on purpose: very dark ink black, thin lines, gold leaf for what is solved, a fine paper grain underneath it all. The sound is never a recording — it is synthesised fresh each time you play, so no two sessions ring quite the same.

NAGARE is fully playable without spending anything. It is funded by an occasional full screen ad after every fifth solved level, and by optional rewarded videos for a hint or doubled coins. There are no banners while you play, and the ads can be removed for good.
