## What is NailWise?

NailWise brings every course, submission, and piece of feedback into one clean app — so students can focus on the craft and instructors can teach without juggling social media groups, DMs, and scattered email threads.

Built from the ground up for nail schools, by people who understand how they really work.

  FOR STUDENTS
  • Submit nail sets with multi-angle photos directly from the app
  • Track every course, module, and required set
  • See clear status: Not Started, In Review, Passed, or Needs Resubmit
  • Get rubric-based feedback with specific comments on each attempt
  • Chat privately with your instructor — no scattered DMs
  • Celebrate every milestone as passed sets are tracked automatically

  FOR INSTRUCTORS
  • Review student submissions with side-by-side photos
  • Grade with structured rubric checklists — no more copy-pasting
  • Leave specific, constructive comments on every submission
  • Pass, request resubmission, or send personal feedback in one tap
  • Manage multiple cohorts and students at a glance
  • Message students directly, without sharing personal contacts

WHY NAILWISE
Nail school operations today happen across three or four platforms — Facebook groups, Instagram DMs and personal email. Nothing is private. Nothing is organized. Feedback gets lost. Students don't know where they stand. Educators become quickly overworked.

NailWise replaces all of that with one professional platform:
  • Private: students only see their own work
  • Organized: photos, feedback, progress, and messages in one place
  • Traceable: full history of attempts, comments, and revisions
  • Certification ready: passed sets are tracked automatically

  HOW IT WORKS
  1. Your nail school creates an account and sets up its courses, rubrics and assignments needed.
  2. Instructors can invite students and link teaching materials to each course for student access
  3. Students submit work directly in the app.
  4. Instructors review with rubrics and leave personal feedback.
  5. Students can easily track where they stand

  GETTING STARTED
NailWise accounts are created by invitation from your nail school. If your school uses NailWise, ask your instructor for an invitation. If you run a nail school and want to modernize your operations, reach
out at hello@nailwise.app and we'll set up your school.

  PRIVACY & SECURITY
  • Student work is private to the school — no public feeds
  • No ads, and no data sharing with third parties
  • Fully localized in English and Icelandic

NailWise - everything your nail school needs. In one app.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-04-30

NEW

  • Voice messages in chat — record, send, scrub the waveform, play back at 1×/1.5×/2×.
  • One account, multiple roles — admins who also instruct can switch views without signing out.
  • Stacked certificates on graduation — courses that award more than one diploma celebrate them all in a single swipeable splash.
  • Pinch-to-zoom on every photo — submissions, examples, chats, posts.
  • Welcome email for invited students — branded message with their cohort, courses, app link, and QR code.

  INSTRUCTOR TOOLS

  • Student progress at a glance — every student now shows a progress bar and "X / Y projects done", sorted by completion.
  • Cohort detail with full requirements — every required project per course, plus a per-student progress row.
  • Tap any required project from a cohort to see exactly what students must turn in.
  • Review drafts auto-save — every rubric check, comment, and annotation is preserved; drafts expire after 14 days.
  • Manually credit off-app projects — mark something staðist with an optional note; auto-issues the diploma when it's the last one.

  PROFILE

  • Tap your avatar anywhere — opens a bottom sheet with profile, language, role switcher, sign-out, delete account.

  POLISH

  • Tighter spacing across the app — no more wide empty gap above the tab bar.
  • Fixes — cohort empty-state flash, chat-notification routing for instructors, project review hijacking the Yfirferð tab, zero-photo submissions blocked, and no more orphan submissions when a photo upload
  fails.
