For several years. As with any new Technology it’s not without challenges, but the team has been great with troubleshooting and fixing things as necessary! They stand by their product. I imagine next generation will be even better! Otherwise it’s a great product and very beneficial in tracking your growth or weight loss! ### 5/5 — The Truth Inspires! *2019-01-31, version 1.1.7* My amazing chiropractor Rikke Johansen at Health Logic in Menlo Park, CA, is beta testing the Naked Labs body scanner in her office. While the first scan result in December was cringeworthy, I am, and always have been body-positive—but the scan doesn’t lie. It gave me a wake-up call to get moving, and I was so excited by the results of my second scan in January. I dropped 10% body fat. The bathroom scale showed a loss of only .5 pound, but the clear change in body composition (4 inches lost in the waist, 1 inch in hips, etc.) and body fat vs. lean muscle is very rewarding and gives me motivating feedback to keep going. I can’t wait until next month! Yes, it won’t make you feel good, that’s for sure. If, on the other hand, you were making that New Year’s resolution to shed some weight and tone those muscles (and have a plan in place), it’s ideal, because you get an early peek at results that don’t show up on the scale. I’ve always heard muscle is heavier than fat, but to see the physical changes when you put in the work, but maybe don’t see reflected on the scale yet, is motivating. I’m doing yoga, going to Orange Theory Fitness (a one-hour run-row-weights class), and biking on a Peloton. I’m a social exerciser who is motivated by challenges, so these scans are keeping me going while I see and feel the changes of being more active. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2018-12-21, version 1.1.6* Best piece of fitness equipment I own, and way more valuable than a gym membership. The amount of information you get from this scanner is amazing. Seeing a Terminator-style liquid metal image of yourself as you get in shape and lose weight is incredible. Best motivation ever to stick with the program, and invaluable feedback to know whether what you’re doing is working. Expensive piece of tech, but no more so than a treadmill. Very disappointed that there wasn’t any notice. Really got a lot of use out of the mirror and now all my scans are inaccessible. ### 1/5 — Abandoned their earliest supporters *2023-04-25* Bought a Naked Lab mirror from kickstarter in 2018 and received in 2019. Worked great for less than 2 years until they pushed through a software update that bricked the 1st generation machines, which they now refuse to support. So I have a very, very expensive paper weight mirror now. I see they are rebranded “Prism Labs” and plan to launch ANOTHER product on kickstarter soon. Lots of bad reviews like mine were stripped from the website. Buyer beware: you never know when “Naked Labs” or their rebrand “Prism Labs” will stop supporting the very expensive products you buy from them. Quote from emails with customer service: “Unfortunately, we no longer service any first generation products as we no longer have any of the custom parts needed to perform any physical repairs.” ### 1/5 — Scam - nope. *2020-12-05, version 1.3.0* Don’t waste your time. It won’t let you proceed without agreeing to Share your data. It’s not a 3D scanner on its own. You have to buy their hardware. Nope. ### 1/5 — App Requires Product Purchase *2020-07-19, version 1.2.2* App does not do what the description says with out additional product purchase. ### 1/5 — Sold out *2020-02-26, version 1.2.2* Company sold out and abandoned the people that invested in them. Device has lots of accuracy issues and hasn’t had an update since the sale. ### 1/5 — No longer works *2019-10-02, version 1.2.2* App/scanner no longer works (seemingly permanent “processing error”) and the company no longer responds. Assumption is they are out of business/funding. ### 1/5 — $1400 down the drain. *2019-06-21, version 1.2.2* Waited 12 months for delivery of the scanner. It worked for 3 months. Then, the scanner stopped working. The company phone numbers are disconnected and they do not respond to emails. Company appears to have gone out of business. ### 1/5 — Non functioning app *2019-05-07, version 1.2.2* Installed on Apple 8. App does not connect to device, regardless of troubleshooting steps. Support is non existent. While call, chat or email is listed as ways of contacting, no responses on any channel even elicited a response. After days and numerous attempts to make this work, I would suggest not wasting your time with the app or money on the device. ### 4/5 — Needs a minor update *2023-09-04* Please keep function active as this continues to work great — but please update the app (for the latest iOS) so the new iPhone “notch” does not cut off tab access at the top. The tabs are now difficult to press due to the notch being in the way. One request, please update the app (for the latest iOS) so the new iPhone “notch” does not cut off the tabs at the top. I’ve been tracking daily since I shifted to working from home for quarantine and it’s helped me stay on track and I’m down 9.3 pounds of body fat in 10 months! I recently had an issue, it had to do with a Facebook SSO login problem, The support team at naked labs stayed in contact with me the entire time and resolved my issue perfectly. Can’t say enough about how helpful and how prompt their support team is. I had this mirror for 2 years and it provided excellent feed back on my progress . And when I needed help to fix a problem, they went above and beyond and repaired it at no cost even though it was beyond the warranty periods. ### 5/5 — Great customer support! *2020-11-03, version 1.3.0* I have had this product for almost 2 years and have used it sporadically on and off. Wanted to get back into the swing of things so I fired it up last week and it wouldn’t work. Emailed customer service and Thomas emailed me back and was on top of everything. After about a couple days of back and forth we figured out the problem. I realized my mirror was out of warranty but they shipped me the part I needed and in a couple days I was back up and running no problem. I know some people have said they have had issues but as of this post I can’t say enough about them. To me, they have a product that works (yes it’s expensive but we all knew that) and they stick by their product. Thanks Thomas for shipping me that new sensor so quickly! ### 5/5 — Truly spectacular product, amazing customer service!! *2020-07-14, version 1.2.2* The setup of the platform couldn’t have been more intuitive, and the scanning is really impressive! You can tell that they did extensive user testing when building the app; it’s one of the most seamless UX flows I’ve ever experienced. I’ve had a couple hardware updates that required interaction with the customer experience team, but Thomas Ward was notably professional and responsive, and everything got fixed right away! The app is so well designed with all the informational options you need to compare your body programming. The app gives you all the details to need to keep losing weight or gaining size in all the right areas.
