## What is NAM Sandwich?

Your full NAM A2 rig in your pocket — wherever you go.

NAM Sandwich turns your iPhone or iPad into a complete, fully customizable Neural Amp Modeler rig. Plug in, stack your tone, and play — no laptop, no mountain of gear, just a great-sounding amp in your hand whenever inspiration hits.

PLAYS FULL A2 NAM CAPTURES
The real thing. NAM Sandwich runs full "Architecture 2" Neural Amp Modeler captures at full desktop quality. Load an amp, a full-rig, or a captured pedal and hear exactly what was captured.

BUILD YOUR SANDWICH
Your tone is a stack of layers you arrange however you like:
• Amp & pedal captures (NAM) — stack as many as your tone calls for
• IR loader — drop in cab impulse responses and creative IRs
• EQ — switchable 2-band or 3-band tone stack
• Noise gate — reduce the hiss on those heavy tones
• Delay — from slap-back to long modulating echoes
• Reverb — plate and spring
• Tremolo — customizable stereo/mono trem with lots of options
• Flanger — classic jet engine swoosh and trippy swirling effects
• Wah/Auto-wah - In three voicings: Vintage, Modern, Wide
• Pitch — drop tuning, transposing and detuning without touching your strings
• Trim — low-cut, high-cut and gain to tighten up or level out any capture
• AUv3 — host third-party effects as layers

Add, remove, and rearrange layers freely to build a rig that's truly yours.

THOUSANDS OF TONES, A TAP AWAY
Powered by TONE3000 — browse thousands of NAM captures and IRs from your own TONE3000 account, right inside the app, and hear one through your rig before
you keep it. https://www.tone3000.com

PERFORM-READY
Save your favorite sandwiches and recall them instantly. Assign up to 42 go-to rigs to quick-launch pads and switch between them gaplessly — no dropouts, no fade.

LIVE LOOPER
Lay down a loop and play over it. Record 4, 8, 12 or 16 bars at your tempo, or use free-style mode and stomp in and out like a looper pedal. Switch sounds on the fly when recording! Save the loops you want for good.

MIDI CONTROL
Connect a Bluetooth, USB, or network MIDI device (e.g. XSonic AIRSTEP) to control preset changes, tuner, tap tempo and more — hands-free.

ON IPAD
Your saved sandwiches sit beside the builder, so you can pick a rig on the left and tweak it on the right. Works in either orientation — handy on a music stand.

JAM OVER YOUR MUSIC
Pull up a song and play right along. Perfect for practice, songwriting, and the couch, tour bus, hotel room, or backstage.

BUILT-IN TUNER
A fast, accurate chromatic tuner is one tap away — no extra app, no pedal. Stay in tune wherever you play.

AUV3 SUPPORT
NAM Sandwich can be used as an AUv3 effect inside host applications (e.g. GarageBand) and can also host AUv3 effects as layers in a sandwich!

FREE TO PLAY, PRO TO PERFORM
Building your sandwich, playing through it, the tuner, and browsing and downloading captures are free, for as long as you like. Pro unlocks Perform mode, saving and switching sandwiches, the looper, MIDI control, and the Tremolo, Flanger, Pitch and Wah layers: $2.99/year or $8.99 once, forever.

WHAT YOU NEED
Requires an audio interface to plug in (USB-C recommended — e.g. iRig USB).

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-08-18

ADDED
• Back up to iCloud and restore. More › iCloud saves your sandwiches, Perform pads, captures and saved loops to your iCloud account, and brings them back on a new device or after a reinstall. A fresh install offers to restore your backup for you.

• Saved loops sync too — save a loop on your phone and it’s on your iPad. Recent loops stay on the device that made them.

CHANGED
• Importing a capture you already have no longer adds a second copy of it to your library.

• The tuner holds steady as a note fades instead of jumping between layouts, and it’s less cluttered: no more prompts

### 1.10 — 2026-08-16

• Improved Tone3000 browsing
• Lots of UI enhancements

### 1.9 — 2026-08-14

ADDED

• Live Looper! — tap Looper at the top of Perform. Record 4, 8, 12 or 16 bars at
your tempo after a one-bar count-in, then play over the loop and overdub onto it. (Pro)

• Wah / Auto-Wah layer! — a swept resonant filter with three voicings: Vintage (throaty), Modern (brighter, more
aggressive) and Wide (smoother, longer sweep). Ride it with an expression pedal, or switch it to
Auto and let your picking sweep it. (Pro)

• Map a footswitch under More > Global MIDI Setup to Record, Play/Stop, Undo or Clear and work the
looper hands-free; a switch can also turn the click on and off.

CHANGED
• A sandwich's own MIDI mappings now override your global ones on the same switch, instead of being
ignored. The app asks before overriding, and the mapping is marked so you can see which one wins.

• More > MIDI Controller is now More > Global MIDI Setup, and its mappings are grouped by the
message that fires them — so two actions on one footswitch are easy to spot. Tap a mapping to
change it instead of deleting it and starting again.

### 1.8 — 2026-08-12

ADDED
• MIDI Control layer: control layer parameters in one sandwich. One press can
turn the reverb off and the delay on, or swap a clean amp for a dirty one. Set a switch to Hold
and the change lasts only while you keep it down. Works with whatever your controller sends — a
CC, a Note, or a Program Change. (Pro)

• Expression pedals — ride a sandwich's controls with a pedal over whatever range you set: the
volumes, delay, reverb, tremolo, flanger, and per-layer controls down to a Pitch layer's shift and
cents. One pedal can move several at once, each with its own range and direction — swell the delay
up as the reverb backs off, or sweep a whole octave under your foot. (Pro)

• EQ Mid Freq — the 3-Band EQ's Mid band now sweeps from 200 Hz to 2 kHz instead of sitting at
425 Hz. Low for body and mud, high for a lead boost that cuts through.

FIXED
• Picking a new capture now changes the sound again after you switch sandwiches. The card and the
checkmark had been moving while the amp kept playing the old one.

• The Input and Output sliders move smoothly instead of stepping, so a fast fade stays clean.

### 1.7 — 2026-08-04

ADDED
• Pitch - a new layer for drop tuning, transposing and detuning. Shift by semitones (-1 for E flat,
-2 for D, -4 for C), on chords as well as single notes, with Cents and Mix controls. (Pro)

• Trim - a new utility layer with a Low Cut, a High Cut and a Gain. Tame fizz, tighten a flubby low
end, or even out a capture that's louder than the rest.

• A Low Cut and a High Cut for the Plate reverb. They shape the tail only, and arrive Off, so
  nothing you've saved sounds different.

• Delete a whole pack at once — swipe left on a pack in your NAM capture list.

• Rename a saved sandwich from the Save screen, without changing its sound.

• An output meter with a clip light on the Perform screen.

• Sort your Menu by Last Created, Last Modified or Name.

CHANGED
• Tap tempo on the card. Delay and Tremolo now have a TAP pad right on their cards in Edit.

• The Menu and your sandwich side by side on iPad, in either orientation.

• A tidier Perform screen — the tempo hint line under the pads is gone.

FIXED
• Perform pads only show a tempo when their sandwich really has a tempo-synced Delay or Tremolo.
