What is Namaz?
Namaz is the daily muslim prayer, also known as Salat or Salah. It is one of the five pillars of Islam and the best way of worshipping Allah the Almighty.

Description:
This app is an audio player for you to listen to the correct pronunciation of the prayers in Arabic. It will help you to learn the dua-invocations and parts of the Quran that are read inside the prayer. You will also have the texts in English transliteration and some illustrations to help you navigate through the process. All content is in accordance with the rules of the Hanafi school of law.

Important to understand, that this is a companion app, and it is not sufficient to fully learn the prayer on its own. We also strongly recommend that you learn to read Arabic, as English letters and phonemes are not sufficient to convey all sounds found in Arabic. Learning to read Arabic will allow you to perform your prayers in the best way and will give you access to the Holy Quran. The easiest and most effective way to learn both prayer and reading Arabic is to find a good teacher.

Although at first when it would say fard and Sunnah I would only click one and read it but then I realised but I think that was my fault. I loved this app and you can also adjust the speed for your prayers. I love this app so much if you don’t know how to pray then this app is a must have u can also learn new Surahs and so much more. Allahumabarik I loved this app. Smile it’s sunnah.

And the prayers don’t even look the same as adding extra Wajids & mustahabs in there that I usually don’t say and you can’t even take them off so it’s just confusing my whole prayer & throwing it off so now I’m gonna have to delete this app and find a new one

I love this app as a revert it really helped me learn how to pray. However the most recent update to the English translation is very poor and seems like AI was used. For example, the opening used to say “Glory be to you, Oh Allah and all praise is due unto You! And blessed is your name and high is your majesty and none is worthy of worship but you.” Now it says, “Perfect you are, Oh Allah, and yours is praise! Blessed is your name and high is your majesty, and high is your majesty, and none is worthy of worship but you.” I don’t speak Arabic but I believe this can’t be a correct translation to repeat the same thing in this way when the Arabic words are different. I wish they would bring back the old translation for English. This is just one example of an error but overall the English translation makes much less sense now to a native speaker. I don’t want to rate too low because due to this app I was able to memorize the prayer in English before this change but I didn’t memorize all the sunnah prayers yet and many of the recitations from the Quran changed and make much less sense now. Including Al-Fatiha which used to say “Master of the day of judgment” instead “day of reckoning” and a few other changes. These are just a few standout examples but more changes were made and they’re NOT improvements. Please please please consider returning to the old translations they were much better!!
