I love this app and I pay for it every year, but it doesn’t seem to be updating? I have submitted emails and assistance, but not hearing anything back. Would gladly change my rating if someone reached out to me and helped me with my purchase.

This app used to be my go to for not only learning names, but also sharing it with members of my team. The sharing fearing was. hUGE prt of what made this app great. Unfortunately, that feature now has a glitch that makes sharing impossible. I have tried everything I can think of: I paid for the feature a couple years ago (and annual subscription) but now the app won't let me renew. When I tried going to the purchase screen, there's no option to purchase anymore and no way to undo it. It just won't work. 

All in all, the main reason I started using the app in the first place is no longer a working feature. So sadly, I'm moving on. Thanks for that one good year, Name Shark. You were once great.

I’m a high school teacher who struggled with learning names until I loaded their pictures and names in this app. The games and scoreboard actually make it fun. I found it would crash anytime I tried to load a picture from my phone’s photo album, so I just took pictures from my computer screen as I entered each name. It was actually easier than uploading them. Love this app!

Love the app. This has helped me significantly to remember groups of ppl. But I no longer can upload photos. Can you please check to see if there’s a bug? It access my photos but it automatically selects the last one I used and then the screen freezes. Additionally, the buttons at top of screen are not calibrated so you have to guess where the button will actually click on the screen.

This is just what I was looking for but is so far unusable as I can’t click OK to save an entry as it is under the 4G/battery notification at top right of the screen on iPhone. I can only click cancel. Would love to use this is you can fix it.

Hi developers - if you’re listening - this is a great app when it works but it REALLY needs an update as it’s now quite buggy. I’ve used for years but it needs a refresh (lag time when uploading pictures, search capability, and the other errors listed in reviews). Please please put some time aside to refresh so I can return this to the 5 stars it deserves (and used to have). It’s such an amazing idea…just needs some TLC. UPDATED: Just looked at their website and it appears they are out of business? What a shame.

When creating a contact, you choose the picture then you should be able to click ok. But the button is at the tip of the screen behind the battery icon on my phone so I can’t click it. If I do manage to, before that it has changed the framing of the photo. 
Also creating new groups you can’t just import the contacts from other groups.

When adding the phone/picture, the CANCEL and OK buttons move up the screen so they are under the clock and battery symbols, you have to press 20+ times to get a response from them and as yet have never been able to activate CANCEL.
Tried to email support, only to receive a response saying “support” at awesomegeekness.com does not exist.

I use this app to help my father with his aphasia. We’ve gotten locked out twice this week. I put out multiple request to have the password reset as well as the email that was provided to me by the hospital and still no luck. I believe this company out of business. No help

I was so happy to discover the app that would do everything I needed it to. But after you upload a photo, you can't go any further. No buttons worked, not even Cancel. Basic testing needs to be made here.

The sharing option that you have to pay for does not work and there is zero response or any type of service to get your money back. The free part of the app would be great if it worked consistently, but it freezes up constantly when you want to enter a new name. The only advantage is you do have an easier time remembering people’s names because you have to REenter it 600 times into this app. LOL

I paid $4 to pay for the sharing option and it does not work. This app just took my money. There is nowhere in the app to contact anyone to ask for help. I tried logging out and back in and it still does not work. I am a teacher that was using this app to learn student names. $4 might not seem like a lot, but it’s wrong for an app to allow for this purchase and then not get what was promised. I wish I had read reviews prior to purchasing because it appears this has been a problem. Very disappointing!

When trying to access my photo album, the app continually crashes. Using iPhone 13, fully updated. Tried reinstalling the app, restarting the iPhone, and allowing full access to photos but to no avail. Disappointed… good concept though (if it would only work).

I’ve had name shark for a few years for education and pay to share my groups. This is the second year I’ve not been able to share a group even though I pay for it. I tried logging out and logging back in but that didn’t work. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling, and when I signed back in, all my groups were gone. I cannot recover them. The support email doesn’t work. They haven’t updated the app in 7 years. Do not use! All your work and time can be lost!

I loved this app when it was working. I believe that the company must have give up on the app. I had the paid sharing version, and within the past few months the name creator website has gone down (no longer exists) and the sharing option won’t work anymore. Someone, please make another app like this! It was so good when it worked.

It’s really nice to have this for free and it works really well for small groups. However, there are some bugs, like I can’t see how to import contacts into an existing group, and if you finish an excersise without wifi, the app will crash.

I’m new in town and I have to remember many, many, new names. This app is perfect for people who when they are introduced to someone, they forget their name instantly. I don’t understand the low reviews. This app has features that are worth paying for, but it’s all free and I haven’t seen an ad yet. Give this app a try.

Never have people been so welcoming and engaging, from clients and staff, to annual parties. Such a clever idea. 
Still more to do on the data front ie having shortcuts of people who appear in multiple gatherings or settings is a quick easy improvement, and perhaps trawling social media for images, as other tech does. I’m impressed :)

Would it be possible to allow movement of people in between groups? I set everyone up by department but I’d prefer to consolidate them all in to one group now. It doesn’t appear there is a way to do that.

After having a couple mini strokes diagnosed the,  reasons for my short term memory specialty names is revealed. 
having this tool will help with the embarrassment of always forgetting peoples names you’ve just met. 
You canPut them in groups I have friends that I bowl with friends that I see for lunch each time I can refer to this and user names more frequently the better off I am

I was worried about what some of the other reviews said but currently I am on and iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 12 and everything is working perfect so far. I just added 45 contacts and pictures with no problems whatsoever. I absolutely love the quiz format. I’m hoping to give this to the rest of my volunteers so that we can memorize about 120 names! I can see many uses for this!
