The name history isn't persistent across sessions. 2. The ads need a way to shut off. I'd be happy to give the author an in-app purchase to disable them. Many of the ads auto-leave the app to purchase something in the ad, either from the App Store or a web browser, making the app unusable because as soon as it launches, it exits to the App Store or Safari. Either less invasive ads, or money to the author would be greatly appreciated. ### 3/5 — Issues *2016-03-10, version 1.61* I've used this app for some time now and it really helps out when you are just out of ideas. However I am currently experiencing some problem where when I open the app it takes me into the AppStore to some other apps. ### 2/5 — Good App But Too Ad Heavy *2015-07-30, version 1.61* The app itself is good. The name choices are pretty solid and give plenty of options without too much repeat. The history feature is nice, especially when I start hitting "Get Name" too quickly and want to go back. The biggest drawback for me is the advertising in the free version. I can see the ad bar at the bottom and I have been very careful not to hit it, but a few times a minute the whole thing automatically navigates to the App Store so I can buy the advertised app. Even if I'm not touching the phone at all it goes to the App Store. I'll be trying to write down the name it's offered me and I look back at my phone and I'm being asked if I want to play Candy Crush. If I wanted to play Candy Crush I would have accepted that request a year ago! Anyway, like I said the app is good for what it does. I'm terrible at thinking of character names and now in a few easy minutes I have a list to choose from. I also have about 8 less units of patience than when I started ### 4/5 — Great generator *2015-06-05, version 1.55* ...irked though by no in-app purchase for the No Ads version. Lost all the names generated. Overall great app. Suggestions: ~In-app purchase for no ads ~Individual name, selection, emailing ### 1/5 — Bugged, had good potential *2014-01-25, version 1.54* I am upset as this app looked like exactly what I needed. You can't even get past the first ad that fills up the screen to even try the app. Remove the ad or fix the bug and it may be worthwhile. ### 1/5 — Bogus app - do not download *2013-12-30, version 1.54* I tried this app and was immediately disappointed. It opened to a casino app ad that filled my phone screen. I waited a bit...the ad did not go away and the app did not do anything else. Eventually I was able to close out of it and delete it. This app is nothing more than an embarrassing waste of time...a way for the "developer" to shill some ad money out of sponsors at the expense of a few minutes of your life. ### 4/5 — A really good app; needs more! *2013-12-28, version 1.53* This is a wonderful app, and I think it should become everyone's chief source for rpg names. It is especially helpful for me as a GM; I can't come up with good names for every single NPC! (My last minor character was named Joe...) I can't wait to use this in my next game! However, it would be really helpful to include would be Old English names. Thanks for such a great app! ### 4/5 — Does what it's supposed to do *2013-07-02, version 1.41* If you have trouble deciding what name to give a character in a game, then this app is for you. It has no frills, but it does what it says on the tin. One criticism: It would be a little better if first names and last names were done separately. However, it's really just nitpicking, so it doesn't really matter. It Is terrible! Even if I’m not touching the screen, an ad pops out, and it is not like every 2 or 5 minutes at least! Is every second! The warning is not real it's a scam to try get you to download something that will get your information. I can tolerate the bottom ads on most apps. You are forcibly making your app exit to another app with very disturbing and distracting advertising. Instead of being so focused on the generation of income, make an app that truly works for the user. Stick with iAds that doesn't cause an app switch. Almost everywhere on the screen that you touch is an external link to another app or something. The ads are literally everywhere.
