Months later now tried again & it’s “internal server error” preventing login. No response from Namola or help, hideous customer service, terrible app considering it’s supposed to keep people in SA safe. Usless. ### 1/5 — They never really helped me *2024-05-05, version 9.2.2* I have tried to use the app on 2 occasions during an emergency and I never really got help. First: I had a car accident and used the app to report this and the agent was rude and never sent anyone to come assess the situation. And they closed my case without even notifying the police. This was my first car accident and I was clueless and all I needed was the police or private security to come help. Second: I had lung failure and couldn’t breathe and I was in a house with a kid who couldn’t help. I tried the app and I couldn’t get help. Anyways I ended up having to Google phone numbers and called private ambulances and I am writing this review from hospital. I think it’s safer to have private security & private ambulances on speed dial. They respond faster and will ask you the same questions Namola will ask either ways but they are more trained to deal with people who are experiencing an emergency situation. ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-04-11* Blank screen, can’t sign up can’t do anything, pointless ### 1/5 — Can’t even sign up *2024-01-13, version 9.0.0* It asks for a mobile number to register but when entering my correct phone number it says enter a valid number…. Not even a hint whether it’s because of my country code or whether the format is entered incorrectly… tried all kinds of combinations, with spaces, without, without country code, with SA number country code…. No luck sadly. ### 2/5 — Good app still unhappy with bug *2025-11-14, version 9.4.6* Good app just not happy that it’s been a week already and the iOS location tracking bug still isn’t fixed. The app is terrible with it not reading location or reporting location correctly and then is when the app doesn’t constantly force quit on me. The panic button is chronically off-line and have returned it once already to be replaced. For the cost of the panic tracker and the monthly subscription, it’s really not worth all this hassle. No point in having a panic tracker that logs me at Sandton Gautrain station when I’m standing at Sandton Square ### 2/5 — Namola Smart Notifications *2021-10-20* Namola used to be a great application. Smart alerts worked so well but as of late the alerts are inconsistent. Even with all the correct privacy and location settings, the app still fails to notify me or any of my other family members. I can confirm that there is definitely an issue with the notification system. Hopefully the Namola team can get this fixed because at the moment we’ve all migrated to Life360 and notifications and location information is spot on and working as expected. Come on Namola, these are basics you guys got right in the beginning. **Developer response:** Thanks for your review. Sadly loadshedding is having an impact on our app and it's location accuracy/ We ask that you open the app as frequently as possible to allow for an accurate updated location. ### 2/5 — Something if not at home *2020-02-14, version 7.0.0* The App might be usefull while away from home. Issue is that the App does not incorporate with your alarm system installed in your house which means that you still need a local security company ### 3/5 — Watch app had gone *2021-06-15, version 8.4.0* Really sad that the Watch app and complication was removed in v8.4.0 and was not mentioned in the change log. The Watch app kept Namola SOS two quick presses away on your wrist. Was called immediately and within an hour, an ambulance was at my gate!!
