The control screen for the light and sound are on the same screen right next to each other and highly sensitive. Often I’m so tired that when I go to turn off the light I hit the sound and it turns the sound playing up super high which of course wakes the baby. 😡🙄 The sound monitor is also so sensitive that it picks up our dog sleeping over the baby’s breathing. Not helpful. ### 3/5 — Needs improvements *2026-07-28, version 1.10.0* My son loves the light colors and to sleep with the Nanit sound machine, but I would love it if it could also be controlled in the Nanit Home Screen. That way whoever is at home with my son can easily control both the Nanit monitor and sound machine with one device. Also, for future generations of the light and sound machine it would be great to have the ability to toggle through all the light colors and sounds with the buttons in the back of the machine. Again, so whoever watches my son can turn it on easily. I like the programming function too, but some people are not that tech savvy. For those who are, I did enjoy the pre-programmed option, but we had it for 19 months before we figured out that was a function. ### 2/5 — Ok substitute for the Hatch *2026-07-11, version 1.10.0* Glitches all the time and does sync well with your phone. More often than not it’s easier to turn it on and off manually also super annoying that you don’t have the option to turn off the light for the time. ### 3/5 — Good but…. *2026-07-10, version 1.10.0* I like how you can create settings and change the volume with ease but the preferred settings don’t account for time change so I had to delete them and redo every time I travelled. The app is hard to connect to sometimes when you are setting up in a new place. The physical device is easy to use as well. Won’t stay connected. Clock is dependent on internet connection and when it disconnects it freezes at the current time. So the clock ends up being completely useless since you never know if it’s actually the time it displays or if it has disconnected and frozen at a part time. The hatch works better. I got this thinking it would be nice to pair with my Nanit pro monitors but it’s been nothing but a hassle. Way better than a Hatch given the compatibility with the Nanit app. I do wish you could use Favorites to build a routine, that’s my one piece of feedback. Wow what a difference! The app is extremely reliable, the light works on battery power if you ever need it in an unplugged situation for a few hours, the settings are easy to use, the sounds are exactly what we needed.
