It didn't. paid for the plus version, and it worked for a few days... And then it got really slow. Not a good attribute for a countdown timer. BTW, I attempted to send a heads up to the developer but that only took me to a list of other apps. The support link didn't help. My Sad feeling is that I've recommended it to other people.
