The ai constantly disconnects for no reason. Resetting camera doesn’t help. Updating app doesn’t help. Support is no help & actually stopped responding. The app also constantly kicks us out. This is false advertisement to sell a device for child safety & peace of mind that does the exact opposite. No formal notice from the company via email or letter. This is the worst camera app I’ve ever experienced and it’s frustrating to have paid so much for a camera for it not to work after 2 years. The app constantly kicks us out and it’s hit or miss when it wants to actually connect to the camera. One minute it’s working fine and the next it doesn’t want to connect at all. Customer service is slow and it takes 48 hours+ to even hear back. I do not recommend! If you can return it, do. If you’re looking for a camera, don’t get this one! Customer Service has been unresponsive. I have a $70 travel camera that’s better than this one. I really wanted to love everything that this camera and app promised, but besides the breathing monitor I don’t see what are the advantages of this against a 200$ or less camera. The connectivity is the worst. As I type, my baby has been asleep for four hours and the camera hasn’t worked for more than 10 minutes. It keeps saying “reconnecting”. My husband had to put a second camera in our room because this one is not reliable. And for the price, we shouldn’t have to have a second camera just because I cant trust this one. The app is fine, but the tracker doesn’t have a timer and I had to download another app bc it was really hard to track things here. Sometimes I’d update an entry and it wouldn’t let me save. The only thing that keeps me for not putting this in the storage, since I can’t return it anymore, is the breathing monitor- but again, WHEN it works. Don’t waste your money with this baby cam. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Great Concept…Awful Reliability *2026-08-30, version 2.8.32* I have refrained from leaving this review for quite some time, in hopes that improvements would be made, but I’m at my breaking point for this camera, and other expecting parents need to HEED THESE WARNINGS before shelling out the money for this camera. I bit the bullet on this camera while I was still pregnant in 2024 hoping it would give me peace of mind to sleep at night. It started out pretty good, but very quickly turned into the source of significant frustration. The app is horrible, and only works a fraction of the time. It spends 90% of the time “reconnecting,” to which hard resets or any easy solutions never work to fix it. Support is practically non-existent and when you do get in touch, they aren’t very helpful. The camera is supposed to send notifications if the child is not breathing or not detected; however, connectivity issues aside, I can’t even trust it to notify me in a timely fashion. There are times I remove my son from his crib and I don’t get a notification until five minutes later. You have to turn “a.i. detection” on for that to activate in the first place, but if it loses connectivity, the a.i. shuts off, so a parent sleeping at night will not get the needed notifications, unless they are up monitoring constantly. ALSO, The app does not give you a little monitor window so you can do other things on your device at the same time. If the monitor is going, and you want to see your kid, it renders your phone useless. If I’m being brutally honest, this camera should not be for sale advertised as something to keep the most precious beings in our lives safe. The only compliment I have is the picture quality of the camera compared to others, and the built in sound machine. But, neither of those make it work the price tag and frustration. ### 1/5 — App/Connectivity Issues Constantly *2026-07-12, version 2.8.32* Terrible baby monitor if you want to consistently be able to use it. We have to use two monitors so that we can hear the sound because it is never consistently enough connected to use through the night. The over the top crib view is nice, and the built in sound machine, but had I know how bad the app to monitor connectivity was, how bad the app is in general, and how unprofessional and not helpful support staff is I would have never purchased this product. For being a very expensive monitor, I expected many of this bugs to be ironed out. But it seems like they released the prototype. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever! *2026-06-19, version 2.8.32* The app is completely unreliable and only seems to work about 1 out of every 30 times I try to use it. The other 29 times, I’m wasting precious time trying to get it to connect while worrying about being able to check on my child. What makes it even more frustrating is the lack of meaningful support. Every time I reached out for help, the response was basically, “Are you sure your Wi-Fi is strong?” Seriously? Every other device in my home works perfectly on the same Wi-Fi network. The problem is clearly the app and camera system, not my internet. The final response I received from support was that my one-year warranty had expired. Wow. For a camera at this price point, it should function properly for many many years, not become practically unusable after only two years. It was never great from the beginning, but it has gotten progressively worse over time. I would NEVER recommend this camera to family or friends. There are far too many competitors on the market offering products that actually work. Nanobébé needs to seriously improve both its technology and customer support because the company seems to be heading in the wrong direction and fast. Please save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Worst app I have and I’m buying another monitor *2026-05-30, version 2.8.32* I literally loathe this app. I just purchased a new monitor because the app is that bad. It makes me login numerous times in a row to get it to finally log in. However in the past day I have been unable to log in whatsoever on my phone it keeps saying unexpected error. I resintalled the app, restarted my phone etc. nothing works. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. Go to their website and notice how none of their products have reviews anymore. The hardware is already mediocre, but the app is the real deal‑breaker — and honestly, it makes this monitor unsafe to rely on. The app doesn’t let you play songs, even though it’s advertised as a feature. Half the time, it doesn’t even let you view the monitor when you need to, because the live feed freezes, crashes, or refuses to load. And the worst part: you can’t have two people viewing the monitor at the same time. If a second parent opens the app, the whole thing either shuts off or locks up. For a baby monitor, that’s unacceptable. Parents should be able to check on their baby from multiple devices without the system collapsing. Instead, the Aura Monitor constantly disconnects, freezes, or kicks you out. It’s unreliable, glitchy, and absolutely not something I’d trust for overnight monitoring. This product feels unfinished and untested. But the app started as mediocre and has steadily gone down hill. They push updates in the middle of the night forcing you to be logged out and the primary time of its use, they have weird connection issues at times, logon is generally a confused mess, and tonight we can’t even log on! The app will break without you even updating it. Add to that you can only have one camera attached to your account. My husband actually recommended this baby monitor to me and I absolutely love it! We got it when my baby was a few weeks old and she is almost 2. It helped me alot during postpartum and gave me reassurance she was fine when I was in another room. It has decent sounds(could add some more) but overall very good!It can be tricky to get it going sometimes but I always had minimal issue and had success with their customer service and online support. My kid has put that baby monitor through the wringer and it’s still really good! We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and have been really impressed. The video quality, app interface and functionality are all better than the Miku. I love that you get notifications when baby falls asleep/wakes and that there is an alarm if breathing is not detected. My only complaint is I wish you could see the temperature of the room, but this isn’t a huge deal. I also wish you could see how long baby has been sleeping, but hopefully that will come with future updates.
