Everything is quick, intuitive, and easy to use. Started laying tracks and adding FX in just minutes on my first launch. Tracks are easy to add and manage. Love the way this handles AUv3s (so much quicker and easier than Logic Pro). I literally have only two complaints: 1. There are no audio tracks!? I think this is the only thing stopping me from switching to this DAW exclusively. 2. Why is there no paid content or premium version? I would gladly pay $$$ for more sound packs / factory plugins / expansions / features! I use and love Groove box, but it’s very limited, and apps that do more, like Zenbeats and Gadget 3, have interfaces that I find confusing. Nanostudio 2 has a super-well designed interface and can easily be used on the iPhone. I’m sorry I discovered it so late! Developer: please continue to support this app or produce a new version! I followed the development and despite it having no audio tracks I knew the App would get them because the developer himself said so, he even gave a timeline when the audio timelines will come(6 months). I needed audio tracks but I also loved the story of one person making the app by themselves and I just trusted that the promise will be kept. So I bought the app to fund the developer. Four years later and there are still no audio tracks in sight. Never buy something based on promises. People will disappoint you. The rest of the app is nice but the workflow never really clicked for me and the missing audio tracks just gave me a sour aftertaste every time I used it. I just feel very let down. NS2 is the reason I got an iPad and it’s the reason I have updates turned off. I’m terrified of losing it to a rogue update. Thanks for creating this. After initially using NanoStudio for about a month, it became difficult to come back to other DAWs because NanoStudio is so straightforward to use. Each action flows into another smoothly and I never found myself tapping aimlessly to get to where it makes the most sense to be. It’s a joy to use and a playground for creativity. In particular, my favorite features are the midi editor (piano roll) and arranger. No other DAW makes it so easy to adjust notes and experiment with such precision and comfort. When I’m editing there, I never have to think about making mistakes because the UI is so robust. It’s the shortest link between creativity and having something created. With other DAWs there’s always a bunch of little things you have to do in between. If I have an idea randomly pop in my mind, I can capture it almost instantaneously in NS. Another thing I love about NanoStudio is the project management. It’s extremely well organised with folders and auto-incrementing on subsequent saves of a project you’re working on. It NEVER overwrites your projects automatically. You can edit and experiment and be in full control. But it also saves a separate temporary copy in case you forget to save changes. So if you’re lost in creative space and didn’t notice the battery running out, it’s got your back! There are numerous other features that I like about it, and these are just highlights. Even without audio recording functionality it has become indispensable tool for me. If it had audio tracks, it would sell higher than any other DAW out there, I’m sure of it 100% But even if there are no further updates, just want to say huge thanks for creating it.
