This replacement is a horrible maze that makes even trivial tasks much harder. ### 1/5 — This is an awful updated app. *2024-06-03, version 2.14.0* Please go back to the original. It keeps logging me out and when I go to log back in, it keeps saying server error on Naperville library side so now I have deleted the app will try to reinstall it and see what happens. This app is not near as user-friendly and intuitive. Sadly, not an improvement. ### 2/5 — Not an improvement *2024-06-02, version 2.14.0* The new app freezes and keeps signing me out. Easy to use and I love that I don’t have to renew my stuff individually now. Nice job Naperville Public. ### 1/5 — Major update but camera features STILL don’t work! *2024-03-29* This update brought a new app rebuilt from the ground up but the SELF CHECKOUT SCANNER STILL DOES NOT WORK! Probably one of the top 2 most important features and it’s been broken for 2 1/2 years… It also seems that the library staff members are being told to say it’s an Apple problem… Off the top of my head Amazon, Target, Meijer, Parcel, Walgreens all have barcode scanners and work well so why blame Apple? Take accountability. The old one was poor UI, but did work. ### 1/5 — A good App changed to bad *2023-02-04, version 1.5.3* So sad that a perfectly good app and website has been “upgraded” to an app where you can no longer do self check out and the Coming Soon and New at the Library sections have been removed from the app and website. ### 1/5 — Self check scanner still broken *2023-01-12, version 1.5.3* Several updates have occurred on the app, but my ability to checkout apps via the self check camera barcode scanner still isn’t working. Please fix this! ### 1/5 — Camera features don’t work. Desperately needs updating. *2022-09-20, version 1.5.3* Starting with iPhone 13 released over a year ago, the self checkout scanner no longer works. I believe it may be related to camera changes with the iPhone 13 and above and have reported the issue to the library. They are aware of the issue and say the developer has been informed but this issue persists over a year and 6 or 7 app updates later. There is no way to contact the app developer. Also, general app appearance remains quite outdated & could use a compatibility update for iPhone displays released since iPhone X in 2017… 5 years ago!
