## What is Napkin Math?

A simple, beautiful food diary that helps you understand your eating habits over time. Stop counting calories and start seeing the bigger picture. Log meals easily, build a record you can actually keep, and turn everyday entries into patterns, trends, and insight when you need them.

EASY TO KEEP
Log meals in a way that fits real life, without turning every bite into a chore. You can snap a pic or just describe what you remember. Easy enough to actually stick with, day after day.

SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE
The value of a food diary is not just what you logged today — it’s what you start to notice over weeks and months. Napkin Math helps you zoom out and see bigger-picture patterns in how you eat, so you can better understand your habits without obsessing over numbers.

UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL
When you feel off, your data is there to help you look back. Ask to find out patterns related to symptoms, energy, appetite, digestion, or other shifts in how you feel. A simple place to start connecting the dots between what you eat and how you’re doing.

SUPPORT GENTLE CHANGES
Napkin Math can also help when you’re trying to move in a direction, like eating more protein or being more consistent with meals. Instead of forcing you into a rigid plan, build awareness over time so you can make changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

BEAUTIFUL & SATISFYING
Logging should feel good. Napkin Math is designed to be clean, pleasing, and satisfying to use, so that coming back to it feels natural. It’s a food diary you’ll actually want to open, whether you’re logging a meal or reflecting on your day.

NOT A CALORIE TRACKER
Built around awareness, curiosity, and useful reflection — not punishment, perfection, or calorie counting. Focus on intuitive eating and enjoying your life while feeling healthy.

### 5/5 — simple to use and customizable

*2026-07-05*

I love that there’s so much variety with what goals you can set, definitely good for people who aren’t just trying to lose weight or max out on protein. Also one of the only times where I have felt like AI actually added to the experience (by analyzing your food pictures and giving you really good nutrition estimates). Otherwise, you don’t really need to talk to a chatbot at all. Very cute layout and made me excited to log my food !

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the review; glad you’re enjoying the app! :D

### 5/5 — So cute

*2026-06-29*

I haven’t run through all the possibilities that this app has had to offer yet, but I can go ahead and vouch that it is an adorable way of keeping track of the food you eat. A very easy process of choosing a meal each day, taking a picture, and the app does the work on separating the main dish from the background. Once you have done it enough days, seeing the grand collage of what I’ve had the past month I considered to be very entertaining and a great way of being mindful of what I have over the next few days. Definitely saves me from having a bunch of photos in my camera roll!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review, so glad you’re enjoying it!! 😊

### 5/5 — My Dream Food Tracking App

*2026-06-24*

This app has all the features that I’ve wanted in a food tracking app plus social aspects. I was previously using chatgpt to estimate my macros and calories, but this app helps organizes that data while still having the ease of AI. I like the timeline view of each day, setting goals, and being able to see what my friends are having. There are a few bugs like some pages will crash the app, but the app is relatively new so I’m sure the developers are working on it.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review, so glad you’re enjoying it!

Ah yes, we are working on the bugs 😅 any particular ones standing out? You can reach us at support@napkinmath.club or napkinmath.club/discord with a quick note or screenshot

### 1/5 — AI Slop

*2026-06-17*

Installed it from an Instagram ad, but past setup it turns out to be AI garbage… the buttons don’t even fit on your screen

**Developer response:** Hey, I hope we can make the app better for you! We’re moving quickly and balancing core/new features vs. polish so sometimes things like button placement aren’t quite there yet.

What did you come in looking for from Napkin Math and how can we help you get that? support@napkinmath.club we’re all ears :)

### 4/5 — So cute

*2026-06-15*

**Developer response:** Oh no, sorry to hear! The latest app version 1.0.18 has some bug fixes; please let us know if things are working better. Otherwise can you contact us at support@napkinmath.club?

### 5/5 — Food and memories

*2026-06-10*

This is a fun way to remember meals. Love that I can understand and connect with the food I eat in a way that feels healthy

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the review! Glad to hear 😊

### 2/5 — Love the Concept, Hate the AI

*2026-06-10*

It's really difficult to work around the information that is added via AI, if the app decides it knows what food I'm eating, there's almost no way to fully correct it. I really wish we could fine-tune which AI tools are actively being used.

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing a review! We're working on improving the correction flow and would love to understand your workflow better. Can you share more details to support@napkinmath.club or napkinmath.club/discord?

Your feedback helps us improve as we're in early alpha :)

### 5/5 — Way more interesting way to food log

*2026-06-10*

Food logging and symptom tracking is super annoying and hard to be consistent with but Napkin Math makes it very appealing visually and helps you customize goals (so only track what you care about instead of defaults like with MyFitnessPal). I also really like the “friends” and the global feed element- it’s great to have a community in this and it not be about accountability but more about helpful sharing and encouragement by sharing meal ideas.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the review! We're always looking to improve symptom tracking, goals, and social so if you have feedback on what's particularly fun or frustrating we'd love to know :) support@napkinmath.club is all ears!

### 5/5 — So much fun!

*2026-06-08*

Other apps require so much work to log a meal, but this app makes it fun and easy!! I also like the social aspect, it’s fun to see what my friends are eating!

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the review! :)

### 5/5 — beautiful and fun!

*2026-06-08*

Love this app, I don’t normally track food but it’s so fun to see what my friends are eating :) and you can tell the creators really put their heart into this

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing! it's true :')
