### 3/5 — Bummer

*2026-08-20, version 10.1.6*

I was getting ready to move back to Napster for a playlist I made. After seeing you’re in support of AI music, I can’t. Real musicians deserve for their music to be respected just like musicians did when Napster first started.

### 1/5 — Charges without account

*2026-03-22, version 10.0.2*

Have been trying to cancel my subscription for months now and the website claims I had a “free” account yet still charges my card $9.99 a month for an app I can’t use. Customer service is nonexistent. Never download this app.

### 1/5 — Wannabe SUNO

*2026-03-20, version 10.0.2*

I actually kept my Napster subscription, even though I had AppleMusic, because I had playlists & everything organized better than Apple, but now that they’re trying to be SUNO, it’s a perfect time to stop giving them my money.

### 1/5 — SLOP

*2026-03-19, version 10.0.2*

Such a distasteful business plan for a once iconic company. An absolute slap to the face of REAL artists, musicians, and producers.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous bait and switch after YEARS

*2026-03-14, version 10.0.2*

I have used Napster (then Rhapsody) for 15+ years, curated thousands of hours of playlists, and until late 2025 have enjoyed this service. But now it is no longer. In 2025 I started to notice that some artists were no longer supported and/or songs going missing without warning. Then the slow decline took a nose dive off a cliff after they completely, and without warning, transitioned from a streaming platform to ai “music” only. Complete disservice to loyal subscribers.

Oh, but they offer playlist porting you might say. Well, I’ll tell you that’s completely messed up right now too. I can sign into the app again just fine, but try and click the link for legacy playlists and using the same credentials, cannot log in.

Honestly I should thank Napster for making me realize how fragile media that is streaming only is. I’ve now begun to start curating my music playlists with physical media and offline downloads, so really, truly, shoutout to you guys for getting me off the streaming train and back into tangible pieces of music again.

### 1/5 — Dismal and awful

*2026-03-10, version 10.0.1*

Terrible waste of time, money and data. Stay away from this cesspool.

### 1/5 — Beyond terrible

*2026-03-10, version 10.0.1*

I’ve been a subscriber since the early 2000’s. Without notice the account is switched to only AI produced music. There is info saying you can map over your legacy playlists but this is not at all true. It takes you in a loop of error messages and locking out your account. If you pay ahead you’re SOL on getting any funds back if canceling before the subscription end time.

### 1/5 — Atrocious

*2026-03-07, version 10.0.1*

This new Napster is an absolute waste of time. The technology isn’t where it should be yet to charge people a monthly fee. In addition, I don’t think I’ve had a single song created by the AI artists. I’m curious as to how often this app delivers what it promises.

### 1/5 — Playlist gone

*2026-02-17, version 10.0.1*

Had so many playlist all gone I’ll never go back no hours and hours and hours of making playlist I was a customer since I was in my early 20’s way back rhapsody days I can never get them playlist back I wouldn’t use that app if it was free now

### 1/5 — AI Garbage

*2026-02-16, version 10.0.1*

I subscribed to Napster (then Rhapsody) in 2015 and have been building playlists since. Now it’s all but gone. i learned of the new business model when suddenly I couldn’t search for and play new music. I have since transferred my music to an ACTUAL MUSIC service and will be cancelling my subscription. Good luck with this ai slop, guys. :-| Why not just build a new app with a new brand? Oh, right.

### 1/5 — Turned to AI JUNK

*2026-02-03, version 10.0.1*

I’ve used this app for many years & had tons of songs & playlists saved. Now it’s become a useless junk app for AI. Stupid. Switched to Spotify.

### 3/5 — It’s time to move

*2026-02-02, version 10.0.1*

I use this app for more than 10 years but unfortunately they deleted a lot of songs and they update the app with AI, users are complaining for lost songs and I also got scared not to see the songs in my playlists, to fix this issue I found a website named tunemymusic ( find it on google ) with this you can transfer all your songs to Spotify or other apps, even you can’t view the songs in Napster that website will find them in your playlists.

It is very easy to transfer but if you have more than 500 songs they will charge a small amount.

### 1/5 — you guys are idiots

*2026-01-30, version 10.0.1*

nobody wants this AI slop.

### 1/5 — Ewww.

*2026-01-25, version 10.0.0*

No just no not at all what I was looking for did not match description or energy I was looking for.

### 1/5 — I don’t like this

*2026-01-19, version 10.0.0*

I don’t like this app

### 1/5 — AI Garbage

*2026-01-15, version 10.0.0*

I’m heartbroken by what Napster has become. I subscribed for decades, curated playlists, saved hundreds of artists and thousands of songs. Now it’s all gone, replaced by AI trash. They’ve kept on charging me even though the product I paid for is gone. I couldn’t even unsubscribe from my old account; I had to cancel the payment. This is absolutely atrocious, and the developers should be ashamed.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — So Upset

*2026-08-22, version 10.1.6*

This was one of my favorite apps. I had it for years, and over the years I created so many play list. Hip Hop, R&B, Disco, Rock, Alternative, Reggae, Spanish music, etc. Over the past two years, at least half of all my play list have been cut in half. Half, if not most of my favorite songs stopped playing in all my play list. Because my play list music was never restored, and more music kept being removed. I had no choice but to delete my subscription.

### 1/5 — Just throw the whole corporation away atp….

*2026-08-11, version 10.1.6*

Haven’t used napster in over 8 years, since switching to spotify in late 2017, but today I randomly remembered the Even earprint feature and wanted to see if it was still a thing, so I came here and I must say it’s really sad to see how strong the influence of the AI monster is on these tech companies……

### 1/5 — New Phone, ZERO Playlists Saved!

*2026-08-08, version 10.1.6*

I recently got a new smartphone... NONE of my playlists were saved in the Napster app. I've had Napster since it was Rhapsody. I'm so disappointed! I'm logging off and never subscribing again... Like ever!

### 1/5 — Cold Turkey

*2026-07-09, version 10.1.4*

I subscribed to Napster for years And had a substantial amount of playlists and artists that I was listening to.They simply deleted all my Playlists and music that I have been gathering And switch to AI generated music. I immediately canceled my subscription.

### 1/5 — AI slop scammers

*2026-07-07, version 10.1.4*

Haven’t used this in a while. Apparently, they’ve removed all the music in favor of AI slop. They’ve continued billing me this whole time.
This whole company can burn to the ground.

### 1/5 — They ruined the app

*2026-07-05, version 10.1.4*

Ai music is trash

### 1/5 — Worthless for my use

*2026-05-14, version 10.1.2*

I’ve been a loyal subscriber for years, but with the changes to the AI driven platform, and removing access to playlists that I created over years I can not continue to spend money on something that doesn’t support REAL artists.
I have no desire to listen to fake music produced by software.
Napster did not care what their members wanted- their response to my concern was to tell me to cancel the service, which I did.

### 1/5 — Used to be awesome

*2026-04-11, version 10.0.2*

I don’t know what the hell happened with Napster, but all of my music from over the years is gone and now it’s some AI garbage.

Cancelled my subscription. Good riddance.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-03-30, version 10.0.2*

Taking a name that’s tied to rebellion and innovation and turning it into a pathetic AI dumpster fire

### 1/5 — I’m begging for help

*2026-03-29, version 10.0.2*

I have been a paying Napster subscriber since the day paid service began and for years before that (I am probably a 20 year customer). Since your App upgrade I cannot sign on AND I cannot get help. Because I am an original subscriber, I have a user name only (not an email account). For years everything was great, but now sign on demands an email address. Of course Napster doesn’t recognize my email address and/or my password.

Repeated efforts to sign on and repeated efforts to contact Napster have all failed.

Please help me solve this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Napster

Excellent Application

### 5/5 — Love it!!

*2026-04-29, version 10.1.2*

Rly love interacting w the new companions and making my own songs. It’s actually super fun!!!

### 5/5 — AI Music Creation Revolution Amazing, engaging, entertaining, creative

*2026-02-20, version 10.0.1*

The new Napster App completely redefines what it means to experience music in the digital age! It’s not just a streaming platform anymore—it’s a creative playground. The feature that lets you create your own music with expert-level guidance is mind-blowing. The app pairs you with AI-powered companions and a digital twin, helping you compose, remix, and refine tracks effortlessly, no matter your skill level.
What truly sets it apart is how personal and immersive it feels. Napster learns your style, collaborates with you like a producer, and keeps inspiring new ideas every session. Whether you’re a casual listener or a serious creator, this app hits every note perfectly. A bold, futuristic evolution of music creation and connection—Napster nailed it!

### 5/5 — What Happened?

*2026-01-30, version 10.0.1*

After years of loyal use, I have decided to cancel my subscription. While I've enjoyed curating my library here, the recent shift toward AI-generated content and the implementation of a credit system are deal-breakers for me. The platform has seen a steady decline in authentic artist content for some time, and this pivot to 'soulless' AI music is the final straw. I will not be returning.

### 5/5 — Disruptive and better than ever

*2025-12-21, version 10.0.0*

Napster is the first to give us Gen X folks access to music on online. They threw the music industry into a tailspin.. iTunes took it to another level, as did Spotify. But this time, Napster makes a comeback armed with a plethora of ai solutions that will change the game and the landscape unlike never before. Enjoy folks. This stuff is not only very cool, it is extremely powerful and productive.

### 5/5 — Very Disappointed

*2025-11-01, version 9.0.7*

Had a subscription for over 10 years, and gifted annual subscriptions to 5 others for the last 5 years. Recently all of my tracks disappeared, which has happened before and was easily resolved. This time, not so much. They haven’t been paying the royalties, so the big record labels pulled their music. Over 3000 songs across multiple playlists from a decade of daily listening is just gone, and I didn’t find out why until after being charged for my subscription, of course. Canceled, took the hit and subscribed to Apple One. I would steer clear of this app.

### 5/5 — Love it used for years

*2025-09-06, version 9.0.4*

I’ve been using this for 7 or 6 years and I love you do have to put in your password and it’s kinda laggy but it can find all the song you want and put a picture and title for your playlist and there’s unlimited playlists you can make love it 5 stars

### 5/5 — My music

*2024-10-02, version 8.3.24*

Works like a charm! I’ve had it for years and it just gets better and better!

### 5/5 — Music

*2024-07-03, version 8.3.18*

Nvm it was just my phone

### 5/5 — Love it

*2024-02-10, version 8.3.7*
