## What is Naptown Wail?

The Indianapolis DIY show register. Published nightly.

Every show on the local calendar in one place: who is playing, where, when, and what it costs.

The calendar, filterable by venue. Bands, with past and upcoming bills on file for each. The venues on the regular beat. And the Morgue, for shows that already happened, filed for the record.

Follow a band and its shows get flagged in your calendar.

No ads, no algorithm, just ears. An account is optional and takes a name and a password.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-09-29

Signing in.

- Press I'M GOING while signed out and the RSVP goes through as soon as you sign in.
- An email that doesn't look right no longer stops a new account. The account is made, and the address can be fixed from the account sheet.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-27

Going to shows.

- Say you're going to a show. Its page prints how many are going, and you get a reminder the day before.
- Show alerts can come by email. Add an address from the account sheet, or on a show page when you say you're going.
- A band's page can carry a clip of the band, played in place.
- A band's page links out to Spotify, YouTube, Bandcamp, TikTok and Facebook when the band has them.
- Every review teaser carries a picture.
- Fixed: the bands, room and presenter on a show page opened from the calendar now open.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-25

Band and room pages.

- A band's page can carry a wide picture behind its name.
- A songwriter who also fronts a band shows the other billing under ALSO PLAYS AS.
- A room's page lists a set recorded in that room, out to YouTube.
- A review can carry a clip of the set, played in place.
- A review that ran somewhere else first says where, beside the byline.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-10

Read the reviews.

- A new Reviews tab lists every signed piece the paper has run, newest first. Tap one to read it whole, then go on to the band or the night it is about.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-20

Fixed the wording on the desk sheet. Filing a show puts it in the paper now, so the sheet no longer says it waits to be read.
