## What is Nariboo?

Nariboo helps anyone decide on where they want to go out. Whether a month in advance or 2 minutes ago, you will find where to go.
The Swipe page will help you filter out what you like and hotlist it (temporary holding). Save whatever you actually like for later!
The Map page will help you find what is the closest, or what is on somewhere else. 
The Search page will help you with everything else!
The app is currently in open beta!

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-29

This update is mostly about speed. Nariboo should feel noticeably smoother on every screen.

FASTER
• Scrolling in Search, Map, Hotlist and Saved is smoother — lists no longer re-blur the background on every frame.
• Quicker start-up: the app no longer waits on background checks before drawing the first screen.
• Map pins appear and group faster, and stop rebuilding when nothing has actually changed.
• Posters now load at the size they are displayed at, so the app uses far less memory.
• Only one video plays at a time, which means less battery drain and less heat.

FIXED
• City search finds real cities as you type. Searching "Antalya" now returns Antalya, not a district inside it.
• Organiser names appear on event pages instead of the word "Organizer".
• On the Map, picking a city loads that city's events straight away instead of reloading the area you just left.
• The my-location button works again.
• No more stale thumbnails flashing when you change a filter.
• The swipe deck no longer replays the undo animation when you change a filter.
• Clearing the cache or signing out now clears everything, including events held in memory.

NEW
• Events can show Tickets and Source links where the organiser has provided them.
• Events imported by Nariboo are clearly labelled as such, with a way to flag bad data.

BEHIND THE SCENES
• Added crash reporting so problems get found and fixed faster. Crash reports contain no account details, email address or location — Profile › Legal › Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is and is not included.

Search & Discovery
Added location-based search: pick any city worldwide to center your radius search. Your current location appears by default.
Multi-select category filtering on Swipe, Search, and Map pages — select multiple categories at once to refine results.

Event Details
Event descriptions now support clickable links — tap any URL to open it in your browser.
Organizer information now displayed under event details, showing who posted the event.

Performance & Reliability
Improved event caching — each tab (Swipe, Search, Map) now maintains its own cache, so switching between tabs preserves your position and filters.
Deleted events are now properly removed from your device cache.
Fixed rare issue where account deletion would show a loading spinner indefinitely.

Sign-In & Security
Email verification cooldown now persists even after closing the app — you won't be able to spam resend requests across sessions.

Hotlist (Temporary Saves)
Hotlist now persists on your device for 24 hours. Save items to your library to keep them permanently.
Hotlist no longer allows accidental duplicates — swiping right on the same event twice won't create multiple entries.

Load in Current Region (Map)
Redesigned "Load in current region" button with smooth animation and visual cooldown timer — prevents accidental double-taps within 10 seconds.
