## What is Narratorr?

Your reading list, finally finished.

You've got ebooks you've been meaning to read for years. Fanfics bookmarked in seventeen tabs. A Pocket queue from 2019. The problem isn't wanting to read — it's finding the time to sit down and do it.

Narratorr turns all of it into audio. Drop in an EPUB, paste a link, share an article from any app — Narratorr reads it to you with voices that actually sound like people. You keep up with your list while you commute, cook, fold laundry, fall asleep.

WORKS WITH EVERYTHING YOU READ
EPUBs, PDFs, TXT files, webpages, fanfics, webnovels. Paste a link, import from Files, use the Share sheet — if it's text, Narratorr will read it.

TWO VOICE ENGINES, ONE APP
• 20+ premium AI TTS voices that sound genuinely natural — US and UK accents.
• Dozens of free built-in iOS voices that work completely offline. No internet, no account, no subscription.
• Speed from 0.5x to 4x. Switch voices mid-sentence. Whatever fits the moment.

FIX HOW ANY WORD IS SPOKEN
Tired of the voice butchering "Hermione"? Select the word, tap Pronounce, type how it should sound, save. Done. Works on every voice — AI and built-in. Syncs across your devices so you only teach it once.

A READER WORTH READING IN
6 hand-picked themes for any lighting. 10 fonts. Adjustable size, spacing, margins. Sleep timer that fades out as you drift off. Auto-play through chapters so you never tap next. CarPlay for the drive.

SMART WEB BROWSER
Built-in browser that remembers where you've been. Real favicons, instant autocomplete, Frequently Visited on a blank tap. Opens a novel page? The URL bar shows that novel's other chapters — not every random story on the site.

SYNCS EVERYWHERE VIA iCLOUD
Books, reading progress, bookmarks, pronunciations, settings — all in sync across your devices. Start on your iPad, finish on your phone.

HANDS-FREE WITH SIRI
"Resume reading." "Play my book." "Speed up." Control everything without touching your phone. Perfect when your hands are busy.

SAVE WHAT HITS
Bookmark any line. Export bookmarks as formatted text. Track your listening time, reading streaks, and days with your stats dashboard.

BUILT FOR EVERYONE
Full VoiceOver, Voice Control, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion support. Dark themes included. No color-only indicators.

PRICING
• Free built-in iOS voices — forever. No account required.
• 1 hour of premium AI voices free to try.
• Unlimited AI voices: $2.99/month or $19.99/year.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.9 — 2026-07-09

New controls for how you listen, plus reliability fixes.

AirPlay, built in. Every reader now has an audio-output button up top — switch between AirPods, your car, a HomePod, or the iPhone speaker without ever leaving the app.

Put the Read button where you want it. In the web browser, touch and hold the Read button and drag it anywhere on the page, so it never covers what you're reading. Release it near the bottom to snap it back home.

Web chapters that just keep going. Tapping Next Chapter — or pressing play at the end of a chapter from the mini-player — now works even if you've browsed away to another page. Narratorr returns to the article, then advances and keeps reading.

Smoother and lighter on battery. Background and mini-player listening now use less power, image-heavy EPUBs scroll without hitching, and Narratorr makes fewer redundant network calls while you listen.

A few real bugs squashed:
 • Playback that occasionally went silent mid-chapter now heals itself — if audio stalls, it picks back up on its own instead of just stopping.
 • Some EPUBs snapped back to the first chapter when you opened the table of contents. Fixed.
 • Saved web pages sometimes opened near the end and finished instantly. They now start from the top every time.
 • Reopening the mini-player at the end of a web chapter no longer restarts the chapter from the top — it stays where you left off.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-05-08

A polish-and-fixes update focused on accessibility and reliability.

The app now scales properly with your system text size — URL bar, suggestions, article and chapter titles, library copy, all of it. VoiceOver announces selected state for the Save, Sleep Timer, and Auto-advance buttons, and library book cards now read as a single element instead of three separate ones.

Cloud voices have been renamed to AI voices across the app and listing — same voices, clearer name.

A few real bugs squashed:
 • Switching Apple IDs no longer leaves the app stuck thinking you're still subscribed. Settings and the TTS quota now reconcile cleanly the next time you foreground the app.
 • Tapping Next or Previous chapter in the book reader no longer overwrites your saved reading progress. Back-to-progress now points to where you actually left off.
 • A failed TTS fetch mid-chapter now stops cleanly and lets you tap play to retry, instead of skipping ahead to the next chapter.

Smaller polish: device-voice speed slider stops at 2x instead of letting you scrub past with a disclaimer, pronunciation dictionary changes apply on the very next paragraph, and the word-highlight timer no longer burns battery while audio is paused.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-04-15

Two big new features this update.

First — a pronunciation dictionary. Ever heard the voice mangle "Hermione" or "Daenerys"? Just select the word while reading, tap Pronounce, and type how it should actually sound. Hit Preview to hear it, Save to keep it. It works with every voice and syncs across your devices, so you only have to teach it once.

Second — browser history and suggestions. The in-app browser now remembers where you've been, shows real site icons, and suggests pages as you type. Tap the URL bar to jump back to your favorites. Works cleanly with Royal Road, Wattpad, translator sites, and anywhere else you read. And there's a one-tap Next Chapter button at the bottom of every article so you don't have to hunt for it.

A few things we fixed:
 • Chapter titles now read out before the first paragraph when auto-advancing.
 • Opening a chapter is instant — no more loading flash on pages you've already viewed.
 • Tapping Select on a paragraph now highlights the word you actually tapped, not the first one.
 • Some general bug fixes

And some smaller polish: Language and Voice live side-by-side in speech settings now, the browser's loading bar moved inside the address bar like Safari, and the mini player's close button is bigger so you stop closing it by accident.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-04-01

Polish and reliability update:

 • iCloud Sync now fully restores books, web links, progress, and bookmarks after reinstall
 • Back-to-progress button shows the chapter name you're returning to
 • Onboarding now lets you hear a cloud voice sample before you start
 • Faster library loading with new file-based storage
 • Web reader spacing now matches the book reader
 • Restored web links auto-fetch their preview images
 • Ad blocker rule fixes for better compatibility

### 1.0.5 — 2026-03-28

iCloud Sync is here — your books, progress, bookmarks, and settings now sync across all your devices. Plus text selection with Look Up and Copy, Siri Shortcuts for hands-free control, and bookmark export.

Also improved: faster onboarding, subscriber stats fix, and more reliable subscription verification.
