## What is NAS Media Viewer?

NAS Media Viewer is a video browser/player with connectivity via SMB, Jellyfin, Plex, or local folders. It supports video playback for regular 2D videos + VR180/360 videos.

Noteworthy features include:
- Custom Themes/Styles
- Download videos to watch offline
- Browse your video library while watching videos (no need to exit the video to find a new one)
- Shuffle folders or search results
- Favorite videos or folders
- Recently Played section for quick access
- Lockable connections, with auto-lock option
- TV remote control for Jellyfin connections
- 3D-to-2D video exporter
- VR180/360 playback. Many VR180/360 videos are 6k or 8k resolution and will therefore fail to play on iPhones/iPads in their original state (i.e. over SMB connections). When you use Jellyfin or Plex (with a Plex Pass), the videos are transcoded on the fly into a format your iPhone/iPad can render.

Note on Connection Types:
Jellyfin is the recommended connection type for an optimal experience. Next is Plex if you have Plex Pass, and last is SMB. Of course, SMB is still a great option, but it does not yet support transcoding so some videos may not be playable on iPhones/iPads.

If you don't already use Jellyfin on your NAS, it is easy to setup, and you don't need to spend time customizing things if you don't plan to use Jellyfin for purposes other than this app. Simply install Jellyfin on your NAS, give it access to your desired NAS folders, create user credentials, and then sign into this app with those credentials!

Note on Pricing:
a Paid Unlock (yearly or lifetime purchase) is required to use this app. This provides access and tailored experiences on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.
