So many times I can’t even check my balance, the most basic of requests. Like computer software, you need to keep up with progress by updating your devices. I have seen issues on customer iPhones before and a simple HARD RESET has always fixed the problem. IPhone 8 and up... 1-Press and release the volume up button. 2-Press and release the volume down button. 3-Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple appears and then release. IPhone 7 1-Press the Sleep/Wake button and the volume down button at the same time and hold them both until you see the Apple appear and then release. IPhone 5 & 6 1-Press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button and hold them both until the Apple appears and release both. My only suggestion is to improve the instructions on the NBM site to authorize the account. It's not clear that you have to first "enroll" from the settings/options tab on a computer in Online Banking" then download the app on your phone. This makes sense after you've done it but clearer instructions would help.
